The pinkies hooked together. It was set. Stefan was a man of his word and an even bigger believer in pinky promises. He chuckled a bit at the curated meats comment. She had a sense of humor and that made Stefan even more attracted to her.

"Hey who doesn't like meats...well... besides vegetarians"

He crossed his arms as Zora divulged that she had a thing for light colored eyes. He cocked his head to the side and tapped a finger on his bicep. He had an idea.

"How about this. I'll take them off. We make DIRECT eye contact for 5 or so seconds. Then we can answer several of these questions that have come up."

Zora sat up in her seat and leaned forward a little, resting her arms on the edge of the table. "We can do that?" she asked him in surprise. She had assumed that the effects were almost immediate.

"Won't I be affected by your stare though?" she said as she looked at Stefan with a mixture of excitement, curiosity, and trepidation. It was the same feeling she got when she had to teleport to someplace new.

Stefan could tell her curiosity was peaked. He figured he should explain how it worked in a little more detail before he lead her astray.

"Well...yea... you will be. It is immediate, but is over the moment we break eye contact. That's why I said only like 5 seconds. Not long enough for you to break into song or find a gym to bro spot me."

A smile appeared on his face as he leaned in. Leaving his arms crossed still stefan propped his elbows up on the table so him and Zora were relatively close.

"Could see if you remembered anything. See my gorgeous icy eyes. What's the worst that could happen? "

Zora burst out laughing at the bro spot comment. A gesture that not only helped push away any misgiving she had about Stefan but made her feel secure in what they were about to do.

"Okay... I trust you," she said, smiling when Stephan positioned himself so that their faces were not more than a foot away from each other. Staring at him for a moment, Zora found she had real butterflies in her stomach.

"Alright. You can hit me with those icy blues of yours when you are ready," she remarked jokingly as she mentally steadied herself for what could happen.

Zora knew she was attracted to Stefan - he checked a lot of her boxes - however, she had no idea to what extent or whether she'd end up making a fool of herself which only made her more than happy that this was only a short five seconds.

Trust. It was an interesting thing. Defiling it could cause bitter enemies out for blood, while upholding it could build the strongest relationships. Stefan knew what it took for someone to trust him with this. It was an unknown for them, and Zora would be basically at his will. Time to not screw this up.

"Alright. 5 seconds at most. Shorter if you start making a fool of yourself."

Stefan looked down by leaning his head down so eyes and all would start away from her. Closing his eyes, he removed the sunglasses and slowly opened his eyes staring at the table.

"Ready?"

After a moment of hesitation, he had to admit he was nervous as well, Stefan peered upward with his icy blue eyes. At first they just appeared to be a regular set of pretty eyes. But once eye contact was made, they seemed to glow blue to the person on the other end, this time being Zora.

Zora was unable to speak so she just nodded at Stefan when asked if she was ready. Truth be told, she was very suddenly nervous as hell.

When Stefan looked up, she cautiously looked into his eyes, afraid, not of what she'd feel, but of the unknowns. She had only an inkling of what she might feel since one didn't generally fall for a person immediately.

Gazing finally into his icy blue eyes, which seemed to shimmer and glow a little brighter, becoming more intense as she let herself stare into them, Zora began feeling a whole range of pleasant emotions.

She could feel her pulse speeding up along with the butterflies in her stomach becoming more intense. She also noticed a general feeling of fixation and fascination, along with a clear desire to be with him - on every level possible - emotionally, physically, and, yes, even sexually. It was a wild ride of emotions and Zora could feel herself getting warmer, more attracted to Stefan as something pulled her mentally towards him.

Suddenly though, it was all over, and Zora could only stare wide-eyed at Stefan in awed wonder and shock as she slowly averted her gaze for a moment as she stared down at the table. She definitely needed a moment to collect herself from what just happened.

"That was just five seconds?" she finally asked Stefan, her face still slightly flushed as she looked at him again, stilled awed by the experience.

Their eyes locked fully for the first time. Stefan was finally able to fully take in her dark green hued eyes and found himself getting lost in them almost as much as she was into his. He spied the familiar reddening of cheeks. A slight lean towards him, almost imperceptible, but Stefan had seen it plenty of times.

After just a few short seconds, his eyelids slammed shut tightly and he looked back down. Instinct was guiding him as he put his sunglasses back on in one smooth fluid motion. When he opened his eyes and looked up he found Zora staring at him, cheeks still red. He knew it best not to say anything yet. Let her come to her own terms first. When she finally spoke up, Stefan couldn't help but smile.

"Roughly. I'm not exactly a stopwatch."

What a wild ride this was turning into. Now Stefan was curious. He had his own questions to ask.

"So....how was it?"

How was it?

Well, that was a hard question to answer, and Zora had to take a moment to think about her reply before she could even say anything.

"Well, I definitely did not feel like finding a gym to bro spot you," she began with a wry grin as she unconsciously touched her cheeks. God, she felt so warm.

"Honestly though, it was pleasant," she admitted as she looked at Stefan and realized that there was no smugness or arrogance there, but genuine curiosity and perhaps even concern.

"It was sort of like being on a rollercoaster as it goes down a run. Everything hits you at once as all your emotions and desires rush to the surface," she explained as a faint blush tinged her cheeks once more as she remembered all the thoughts and feelings that had flashed through her mind moments ago.

Sitting patiently, it made sense it took her a moment to gather thoughts. Trying to distinguish between what was there and what wasn't. Going from running into a complete stranger to potentially wanting to be with them in every way possible. It was a lot. A lopsided grin came on his face at her joke.

"So no bro spot is good. You still need a moment or are you ok? I know it can be a lot."

It seemed as if she enjoyed the brief experience, and maybe that would bode well for him. It was only five seconds but the emotions that passed could have made it seem like so much more.

Glancing at Stefan gratefully, Zora shook her head in answer. "I am fine. Still a bit overwhelmed by it all, but all in all, I am good," she admitted as she sat back in her seat and regarded Stefan thoughtfully as she worked out what was real and what had been induced.

As she sat there, Zora had to admit that even though it was a lot to process if she just focused on what had been there at the beginning, she realised that a lot of what had happened had just been her initial attraction amplified ten times over.

Taking a sip from the glass of water that came with the food, Zora finally made a decision of sorts.

"I think, that maybe, I'd like to see you again," she admitted as she looked across the table at Stefan, staring at mirrored sunglasses.

"That is if you want to of course," she added hesitantly, unsure if he'd want to go out with her after what had just happened.
