Stefan raised and hand and placed it on the back of his head and scratched a bit, ruffling up his blonde hair some.

"Well with any luck, you might just get some more out of me."

Instinctually he winked in Zora's direction before remembering his glasses were mirrored and she wouldn't see it. But again the theatrical pause and slight frown popped.

"Uh...i winked there...but you know... sunglasses heh"

And the return of the lobsided boyish grin.

"Im actually only like 15 minutes away from my apartment, and that's all Ive seen so far, so lady's choice!"

Stefan stepped to the side as well to allow the group to pass. One collision was enough for the day, and he was happy with who it was with so far.

Zora just shook her head and then let out a rather theatrical dramatic disappointed sounding sigh at Stefan's winky sunglasses comment.

"Come on, Mr. Cheesy Lines, who really needs to step up his game by the way," Zoraida said, pretending to shoo him along. "We have got a lot of terrain to cover."

"Luckily for you, there are portals that can whisk us to various parts of the city in a blink of an eye," she explained as she started walking towards the end of the street where they could either check out some shops or be transported to another part of the city.

The challenge was issued. He needed step his game up. Ha! Little did she know he had an ace up his sleeve.

"Careful what you wish for. The glasses just might come off."

It was a play on his siren eyes ability. Stefan knew she had no way of knowing what his abilities were, but then again, he didn't know hers. As she began shooing him down the street he put his hands up and walked backwards facing her for a few steps before falling in line next to her.

"Lot of ground to cover just means more time spent with a pretty lady. Im not gonna argue."

"Is that anything like, you know, careful or the gloves might come off?" she shot back with a wry grin, thoroughly enjoying the easy banter between them.

"Cause I'm pretty sure I can defend myself against those baby blues of yours," she quipped, unaware of the effects Stefan's gaze could have on others.

Zora had quite simply assumed he was wearing the glasses for aesthetic reasons or because he was, perhaps, a daywalker like her friend, Natasha, who was a vampire and also had light coloured eyes.

Smiling at Stefan when he fell in line beside her, Zora gestured then to a portal a few meters ahead of them. "What do you fancy? I can take you to see the Pier, Oceanus Park district, downtown, or we can stay here and look around the shops," she said as they approached the portal.

"There is also The Strip, however, I am not sure offering to show someone new to the island the clubbing and "entertainment" district is really a great way to get to know the city," she remarked jokingly.

As they walked, Stefan kept looking around at the city he was now a part of. So much to explore, and suddenly it didn't matter to him as meeting someone was way more entertaining, but he still needed to know his way around.

"Many have tried to resist, few have succeeded."

As they approached the portal, his newly found guide began to list all the places they could go. This was going to take longer than he thought.

"Hmm....well already being here lets start here."

Suddenly a strange sound filled the air between them. Stefan raised a hand and covered his stomach while his face started to turn a little red. His stomach was growling.

"Second thought....food? My treat?"

Slowing down her pace as they approached the busy hub, Zora glanced with curiosity at Stefan when he mentioned getting something to eat instead of visiting the other parts of the city.

"Sure. I'd actually like that," Zoraida admitted after she briefly considered Stefan's unexpected offer.

"I actually haven't had anything to eat since breakfast," she confessed as she then glanced around them, trying to see if she could spot a restaurant, cafe, or diner nearby. "How about over there?" she asked as she pointed to a small diner just a few yards away.

"You're the boss boss."

Glancing over to where she pointed, Stefan spotted the small diner. An eyebrow raised underneath the mirrored lenses.

"Not trying to con me into a date are we?"

A slight chuckle cracked through his lips as he started to move towards the diner. He had to admit, he was really hungry. In all the bustle of getting his apartment, Stefan had forgotten to eat as well. His stomach was letting him know now.

"Nah, if I was trying to trick you into a date, I'd have definitely chosen somewhere a bit more nicer than a diner at almost three in the afternoon," Zora remarked good-naturedly as they crossed the street.

"Although, if you play your cards right," Zora said as they stopped before a glass door which slid open automatically, allowing both of them to step inside the semi-crowded diner. "I might just con you into a real date," she teased just as a waitress appeared out of nowhere and lead them to an empty booth.

"Oh lala. Making that good of an impression so far am I?"

When the waitress showed up smiling at them, Stefan smiled back and held up two fingers. He then held out a hand offering Zora to go first before following her. His tone was just as playful as hers.

"Guess I better be on my best behavior."

Stefan knew what was coming up. The awkward conversation about the sunglasses. It wasn't exactly dark in the diner, but the blinds were pulled down to avoid sun directly in its patron's eyes. But still the shades remained over his eyes as he took a seat in the booth directly across from Zora.

Letting the waitress seat them before she said anything, Zora sat back in the booth and waited quietly, glancing every so often across the table at Stefan while she told them about the specials and gave them each a menu.

"Thank you," Zora told the woman politely. "We'll need a minute or two to decide what we want. she explained.

When the young woman was finally gone, Zora couldn't help but wonder why he was still wearing the sunglasses, and it probably showed as her gaze flickered with burning curiosity to his face, specifically his eyes.

However, because she dealt on a daily basis with people and most of them had a wide variety of quirks, she held her tongue - at least for the moment. She did not want to appear rude or insensitive.

"So... What are you hungry for?" Zora began as she deliberately looked across the table at Stefan as she opened her menu.
