"Of course." He answered with little to no emotion in his voice. It was nice to know that he didn't have to hide such a big part of his life from her. She was special, due to the fact that she was now the only one that knew. "It's not the easiest thing to tell someone is all." Though, it made a lot of sense that she understood where he was coming from. For him, the island was a new land full of food and foes. "I-I'm, yeah. His soul was just a bit too strong, so I had to weaken it." He paused and tapped his feet together. "Though, because you told me to leave him be, his soul was a lot harder to consume because he had healed quite a lot."

His sad attitude perked up when he heard an opening. With a shy smile plastered on his face, he moved his ice cream beside hers. Then he stood and ever so carefully sat down beside her, as if she was sleeping. Of course, knowing Auden, he went a bit too far with this offer. When he placed his inner hand down, he rested it casually on top of Shay's gloved hand. "This is my first date actually."

"Mine, too," Shay tittered. Her hand was being held, and she imagined how easy it would be to lean forward and kiss the cute boy beside her. The formalities were out the way, and Shay was feeling much more relaxed than before. Ice cream, though, was the last thing on her mind.

Shay entwined their hands, looking down Her heart quickened. "Have," she gulped, "have you ever kissed someone?" She watched his face for some hint of emotion as a tell to what he may have been thinking right then and there. She sat a little closer to him, feeling the heat of his body so close to hers.

Eroshay's face grew redder the longer they sat close together. She wanted to say screw the ice cream and go somewhere else. Somewhere active, to keep her mind off other things.

It put him a bit more at ease to know that for Shay, this was her first time also. He hadn't even realized that asking someone out to eat ice cream was a date, but he was glad that things were going the way they were. He was red faced and anyone that was to stop and look could see that it matched his shirt. No, this was all new to him too, so when Shay locked their hands, Auden felt like he was going to faint. It was like something out of a movie for him, as he had never expected to already be this close to someone else.

When she asked him, the first thing he did was take off his glasses. He knew from the movies, that when you kissed, there was nothing blocking his vision to look into her eyes. "No, I haven't. Have you?" He asked with his eyes closed as he tried to think of the best way to approach this. "Shay..." Hopefully that would be enough to get her attention. If she turned her head towards him, he would have smiled warmly and stared into her eyes. "You want to kiss me, don't you?" With that, he would have slowly started to lean in, stopping right before her lips.

"No." Shay shook her head. When Auden said her name, her eyes met his and there was a flash of worry she quickly hid away. Eroshay had always hated it when someone said her name and nothing more. From her experience, that always meant bad news. He was going to reject her. Tell her he didn't feel that way. That this had been a beneficially mutual outing and nothing personal.

"Y-Yes," she responded, surprised. Shay felt the pull of magic, both to stare into his eyes and something else she couldn't point out. Her heart fluttered, and if it had bene possible, Shay's cheeks would have reddened further.

She was glad he moved slow and stopped before their lips met, it gave her much needed time to process everything. He was so close; Shay could feel the heat of his breath on her face, smell the sweet scent of his recently eaten snack. She didn't close her eyes; she couldn't imagine looking away from his.

Shay didn't feel she had a whole lot of power in her life. Most of it came from family ties, from Klaus and Vito. Beyond that, she was some small used-to-be orphan, with not enough physical strength or intelligence to beat out her competition. She had power over this, though. The power to pull away or push forward.

Shay prepared herself for the visions she'd inevitably see and leaned forward to meet his lips. The kiss was soft and chaste, tentative. Shay wasn't sure where she was supposed to put her hands, or how much she was meant to tilt her head one way or the other.

Thankfully his powers worked on her, as the last thing he wanted was for them to fail. As much as Auden wanted to deny it, he wanted to kiss Eroshay, to get closer to her; and it wasn't because of her last name. Though he didn't want to admit to that, he was actually starting to like her for who she was. When their lips touched, there was a spark that sent his entire body into shivers. Is this the magic feeling that everyone felt when they were kissed?

He moved in closer after only a second, rest his other hand on her shoulder, pulling her ever so gently into his body. There was an attraction there, for sure. Though, after what seemed like an eternity, he moved away and gave off a short but very sweet laugh. "I hope I wasn't too forceful." He stared at her for a few seconds, taking in her beauty, before his eyes darted to the side. Leaning up, he let go of her shoulder, but kept their hands together.

Shay was dizzy by the time their kiss had ended. It couldn't have been longer than a few seconds. In that time, Shay was hit with a barrage of death. Blood. Feathers. Guns. Needles? She wanted it to end, and when it did, she was somewhat disappointed. Shay had barely gotten to feel the kiss.

"N-No. You were very..." Shay breathed out, and reached up to hold her head. Go away, go away and come again no other day, powers. "You were very sweet."

Shay shifted, so she was somewhat turned away from him, trying to hide her face with her hair. What did they do now? Talk? Kiss more? Shay wanted something more heated than that, but she also knew her body couldn't handle the trauma of all that contact. Fuck. She sighed.

"Oh Thank you." He nodded to her, but then turned away before she had time to say anything significant. This was awkward; but not just for him right? It was like there was some untold secret in the air around them, suffocating them with every breath they took. They had just kissed and now... Were they a thing now? Did they have to kiss again? Even holding hands felt all too relationship like. Auden kept a hold of her, and waited for a long while before he said a single word.

"It was nice." He felt that it was something to break the ice in between them. The Raven Mocker leaned over his ice cream, eating it slowly as he tried to avoid any eye contact. It was nice that he could take a second without having his glasses on. "We don't have to kiss again, we can just, pretend it didn't happen."

"No. I don't want to pretend it didn't happen. Actually, I -- I'd like to try it again. Maybe I can... suppress my powers and actually feel it this time." She paused, realizing he didn't know what she could do. Shay pulled her hand from his and wiggled her fingers at him once he'd looked over. "Skin-based death abilities. I see lots of death, basically."

"Maybe we could get out of here, walk and talk a little? I can't imagine it'll take me too long to work up the concentration to.. stuff down the visions." Shay was having the sudden urge to tell him everything about herself, to build a connection. Laugh. Although Shay wanted all those things so much it hurt, she swallowed the urge. She couldn't let her defenses down like that. Not to Auden, who had done enough thus far that Shay didn't trust his intentions.

Pawing at the melted ice cream, he put his sunglasses on once more. "Try again?" That statement was a very big surprise, as he hadn't expected Shay to want to do anything with him, not after the way he had treated her. Though all the talk of powers confused hi
