''I kind of want to try for the lion again'', Lionel said as they continued walking slowly a bit further into the amusement park, looking back over his shoulders so that he could see the booth they had just left.

''But, then again, I kind of also know I will be just wasting my money'', he chuckled, turning his eyes towards Volkan again. ''I don't suppose you would have any tips on how to do better, though?'', he joked, almost bumping into someone because he wasn't looking where he was going. ''Sorry'', he said, before he started walking again, this time with eyes looking in front of himself, though only for a few seconds.

''It's getting darker'', he said, looking up at the sky. ''And I can't really go on any of the rides with this on me anyway'', he said, his hand placed protectively over his camera bag. ''So let's go see those boats before the sun sets. After that, they are pretty much just shadows anyway, you can't see a thing properly'', he decided, turning around towards where they had come from.

"Sorry," because Volkan was terrible at giving advice, as most things he knew have become natural skills to him. "I just know how to do them, it's... hard to explain..."

They turned around and went back, and Volkan somewhat felt bad that they were already leaving while Lionel still wanted something from the amusement park. As a part of a circus, such a thing was just sad to him. So when they passed the booth from before, Volkan quickly halted Lionel with a hand to his shoulder.

"D'you mind if I try?" he asked, nodding a little towards the booth. "I'll be quick. You could watch if you want." It's easier to demonstrate than explain, after all.

And whether Lionel minded or not, he went for it anyway, keeping his word that he was going to be quick. After the short line he had to wait out, Volkan paid to the man behind the booth-- who was somewhat scared and shaking at his serious face-- and returned to Lionel a couple of minutes later, the stuffed lion in hand.

"This suits you," he commented quietly, reminding himself that Lionel worked part-time in the circus with the lions. "We could go now."

''Ah, no, wait, you don't have to...'', Lionel said as Volkan headed for the booth he won the monkey at, joining the line and handing over his money before Lionel himself could really say anything else.

''I wasn't actually serious, you know'', he said as Volkan came back, feeling like he was about to blush, which really was not something he usually did. He was much too sociable and quite a bit opposite of shy for that.

''So thanks'', he said softly as he took the lion from the other man's hands, his eyes and smile not as bright and shinning with energy as a moment before, but soft instead, with honest gratefulness obviously showing in the was he looked at the lion, before butting it so that it was caught between his arm and the strap of his camera bag, making it easier to handle, considering it was quite big. Much bigger than the monkey, really, he thought, as he handed the stuffed animal he himself had won to Volkan.

''Here'', he said, smiling once again brightly at the other man. ''You can take this in exchange. It's just a place holder though, I'll come up with something better as an actual thanks'', he explained, really hoping that Volkan would accept it even though it was kind of not as impressive and there was a bunch of six years old walking around the amusement park with the same brown, big-eyed monkey in they little six year old hands.

"It... was nothing..." Volkan was pretty dazed from the thanks he received, and such a genuine smile was really more than enough for him. So when Lionel handed him the small stuffed monkey, Volkan ended up staring at it in his palm for quite a while, not because he didn't love it, but because...

His free hand quickly slapped itself over his face, and Volkan began to snicker, or more like he was trying so hard to keep himself from fully laughing.

He calmed down soon enough. He smiled at Lionel, and this smile wasn't strained, strangely, unlike his usual one. He absentmindedly put the monkey against his lips, briefly, like a quick kiss, before patting Lionel with his free hand.

"Thank you, I'll keep it," he said, before beginning to walk again to the exit.

Lionel found himself somewhat speechless as he watched Volkan laugh, or well, at leas try to suppress a laugh, the sound of it more like a snicker than a laugh, yet still obviously more than that, not only because the other man had worn such a serious, tightly controlled face ever since the beginning of their outing-he was not calling it a date, not even inside his head, despite the exchange of stuffed animals-so seeing him laugh like that felt like something rare, but also because, he had to admit, for a moment he thought Volkan was laughing at him, and none of his powers could convince him otherwise.

''Uh, yeah...'', he blinked as Volkan suddenly declared he would keep the monkey, and then proceeded to put him up to his lips and kiss him. ''Just until I get something better'', he heard himself saying as he suddenly felt Volkan's hand on him. ''I mean, you can keep it even after I give you something else, he is just a place holder...'', he continued to ramble as he realized how stupid he had sounded the first time.

Then he realized how stupid he sounded the second time too. Honestly, he was usually much better at this, he thought as he sighed.

''I'll come up with something awesome to give you later too'', he said, somewhat defeated by his own running mouth. ''Let's go look at the boats before it gets to dark.''

Volkan said nothing more and simply followed Lionel to the boats. It wasn't just getting dark, however. It was already dark, and the shadows have become more obvious than the light. While they'd probably still see what they came to look for, they wouldn't really have a long time for it. Unless they decide later on to look for something else.

Volkan was back to being silent, however, mostly because he was damn embarrassed with that outburst, which wasn't even an outburst if one thinks about it, but he wasn't very used to being lose like that so it felt weird, and weirder and weirder as he kept thinking about it. He was still staring at the small monkey in his hand, too, until he felt and heard the creaking wooden platform underneath his feet once again. He looked around, watching the beautiful purple, pink, orange and red sea as the last rays of the sun painted on it.

"It's beautiful, I like these colors," he muttered. "So where are the boats?"

As they kept walking, Lionel felt himself come to his senses a bit, meaning the weird, almost embarrassment which had been dancing around his head from the moment Volkan said he would win him the lion, which was now safely tucked between his body and the camera bag and would be proudly displayed somewhere on his bed the moment he got back to his dorm, had finally cleared, which meant that he was soon able to feel the weirdness which Volkan was all but radiating once again.

''Yeah, it's pretty amazing'', Lionel said, smiling at the sunset himself. ''What was more amazing though'', he said, shifting his gaze from the sky to Volkan, a smile still on his face, though softer, not as blindingly bright, as he was determent not to make Volkan feel anything but comfortable from that point onward, ''is that in about a moment, it will look completely different'', he explained as the sky already started to turn from the warm pink, and orange, into the slightly colder, but still beautiful purples, and blues and softer reds and yellows.

''Isn't it cool?'', he asked once the sun was completely under the water and all that was left was a pale after light, his voice soft and a bit amazed as if it was his first time seeing a sunset.

''As for the boats'', he said then, breaking the mood somewhat. ''They are everywhere, really'', he said, turning around. ''It's best to just walk along the side of the pier, that's how we'll see most of them'', he suggested.

Volkan only nodded, but he did smile back, as the sky turned darker and bluer, just as what Lionel just said. And the water was just as deep.

Lionel was right, the boats were everywhere, and they looked like tiny islands scattered in the water, being rocked and swayed by the calm waves, as the two walked around, just watching them. Volkan paused for a moment, glancing up briefly and looking around, before he snapped two fingers in his right hand, creating orbs of fire smaller than a fist around them. And as they walked, these fireballs also danced, lighting up their way like huge firefly guides. One beside Volkan, one beside Lionel, one a few feet ahead, and four more dancing in front of them just hovering above the wooden platform.

Volkan said nothing, but he was obviously having fun-- as seen through the glimmer in his eyes-- by manipulating this somewhat adorable fireballs.

Lionel had watched Volkan dance at least two or three times at this point, yet still, seeing him use his powers like that, creating fireballs in the air to guide their way, amazed him. It was probably because, he thought, as he watched the boats sway on top of the waves, his own power was completely internal. There was no special effect, no trace to show that something had indeed been done. It was why he had always been slightly fascinated with elemental powers especially, though something about Volkan's fire and the bright orbs lighting their way, seemed even more amazing.

That, however, probably also had something to do with a lion which was slowly beginning to slip from its hold, he thought as he adjusted it so it was safe once again, so he wasn't really about to think too deep into that.

''Good thing you can make these'', he thought as he slowly raised his hands towards one of the orbs, wanting to touch it, but not actually touching it. ''It can get pretty dark out here. At least this way we know we won't get lost'', he said, chuckling before turning towards Volkan once again.

''I forgot to ask when you have to be back. I should probably be back in the dorm before midnight, if for nothing else then so that I can actually catch some sleep and not wake up in the afternoon tomorrow'', he said, a corner of his lips twitching as he did so.

"Well... These scars aren't for nothing," Volkan replied. And while he did bring up his scars and was not very fond of them, his words were actually proud, and sounded proud, and at the same time, the fireball closest to Lionel shifted into a shape of a tiny person, waving at him.

"Need to be there by 11 at most," he answered the other's question, and was glad they could spend a few more hours roaming around, though Volkan would also prefer not to bother Lionel too much and deprive him of sleep. "We can leave earlier, of course--" he then said. He was moving his right hand and his fingers to make the fireballs dance even more, and was pretty caught up with it. "--just say so if you want to go back. Or if you want to go somewhere else. I... I liked this trip by the way. Thanks for the tour, Lionel."
