He didnt look himself for a moment, a anger not quite there but so full of hatred it seemed unhuman was on his face. But then it was gone. As she touched his shoulder he blinked and looked at her.

"Im fine, just shadows."

Though he spoke as if he was ok there was a strain just barely there. It disapeared just as quickly and he smiled to her.

Jennifer did not smile back and kept her eyes on him. Sitting down next to him, she looked behind them at the window.

"I'm worried about you, Seth. What were those ''shadows'' covering you? You can't just light slip away that easy, because darkness is cold. Don't do it again."

She put her hands around her legs and stared at the floor. She held up her hand with the design. Then she pulled it back.

"I think everything has calmed down. We can leave, if you want.

He looked at her and gave a sigh, hearing how serious she was.

"For one who seems young you sound too old. They are nothing, they surround me like you walk through walls."

He anwsered and nodded, standing and walking to the door, waiting on her.

Jennifer tried to find something grown-up to say, but could find nothing, so she stayed quiet. She stood and followed him. As she entered the hallway, she held her hands behind her back and kept her eyes on the floor, avoiding looking at Seth.

As they walked he noticed the quiet adn looked at her occasionally but said niothing. Taking her up a flight of stairs they reached the dorms and lounge. Stopping he looked at her, speaking.

"Of course you know of the dorms and opefully the lounge. Whats troubling you?"

She nodded slowly to him, then twiddled with her fingers.

"It's nothing."

It was actually what had happened earlier and her hand was aching like mad. She forced a smile and looked up.

"I'm fine, promiiiise."

She accidently dragged out promise a bit, so she knew he would probably what really bothered her, besides her hand.

he sighed and ruffled her hair again. When he started walking again they soon reached darker areas. for bare moments it seemed the shadows were creeping back but near them the shadows shot back, as if a light was near the two. Fist was clenched, which he hid in a pocket. Turning to her he spoke.

"What'd you like to see next?"

As he ruffled her hair, Jennifer felt as if this boy was one of her brothers. As he spoke, she shrugged.

"What is interesting about this place? Which is most fun?"

She asked, looking up with a grin.

He thought for a moment, looking out a window nearby then down the hall. Then finally looked back at her.

"Depends on what you like to do. Theres a art room and computer room near her. Of course there are things outside as well."

"How about Outside? That would be interesting!"

She said, smiling softly as she stared at her shoes, which currently seemed very interesting.

"So, where do you think is the most interesting outside?"

She asked, looking up at Seth.
