Coraline waited for a few seconds, not seeing where Enelen was going. After hearing a hiss from Mr.Slithers, she quickly followed behind him, allowing her snake to guide the way.

Mr.Slithers was quite the help when it came to situations like this, letting her know where to go. As long as he didn't get distracted, of course.

"I've asked, but my parents insisted." She said, a tinge of annoyance in her voice. "They think something is going to happen to me, or someone is going to try and kidnap me for ransom or something." Coraline sighed, her hand tightening around her spear as she followed Enelen.

"If someone was going to kidnap you, you'd have already been kidnapped. No one would risk breaking into a school staffed by several extremely powerful mages just to kidnap one student." Just who was this girl, exactly? Someone so important they thought they might get kidnapped, or something silly like that. People didn't really get kidnapped in Starlight Academy. If they did... well, it would go poorly for whatever poor bastard decided to do the kidnapping.

"You should speak to the school administration. I doubt they'll put up with your handlers disrupting the school's routine, especially not classes." If he had irritating handlers (somehow he pictured them as two big stocky men, considering they were intended to guard against kidnapping) in his class, they'd be standing in the hall at best, or ejected from the school at worst. It would be disruptive to everyone else to have 'handlers' in the room.

He stopped in front of the administrative office. "You should go inside and ask for a tour. They do them regularly enough, you'll have no issues getting one." Probably within five minutes or less.

Coraline shifted her weight from foot to foot, biting the inside of her cheek. There had been one attempt, long ago. It had failed, obviously, but it was still a sore subject with the girl.

"Do you think they'd be able to convince my parents?" She asked, hesitantly. "They're a bit protective."

Once they stopped, she felt around the door for a handle, intending to open the door.

Y'know. As people tend to do with doors.

Once she found it, she turned back to Enelen.

"Thank you for your help, sir."

"The school is well experienced in handling parents. You're old enough to handle yourself." He guessed she was probably eighteen or nineteen - at the very least she was more than sixteen, which was around the age Enelen considered to be 'adult'. Perhaps he was a bit unsympathetic, but Enelen had never known his parents, and the idea of being so beholden to them was not an appealing one to him. It felt petty and childish.

"It's only my job." He said, waiting for her to go in before he'd turned to go. He couldn't remember what he'd even been doing anymore - he supposed that sort of thing just happened when you helped students. Hadn't he been going somewhere? Maybe the library - that was where he tended to go most of the time.
