Tellios' day was far better than expected as he was walking downtown. His eye turned from what looked like to be an average human eye to a black one with small bug like creatures crawling over each other as he got odd looks while his eye went back. He wasn't too sure on what he wanted to do, she was happy that they met up it seemed so who was he to judge. It's almost like he could take her anywhere and she would be happy just being outside. Tellios was like that, he didn't care so long as it was outside his room half the time.

"I would not have said so if I had did not think it, Pollyanna" She thanked him, that was enough. She didn't see any of Tellios's work since he barely had time for himself half of the time. So going out was something nice. Theatre was always a handful no matter where you were. It was one show after another. "I hope so too. I wish to know more about my own abilities, I feel.. Incomplete. Not whole. Just.. A portion. As if something large is missing."

"I got lost in it. I guess I am more human than I thought." He said. He was trying to find out if he was truly sentient to the point of where he can be a person, have feelings and other abilities like that. Or if he was programed to deal with things. He felt like a coin. Either he did or he didn't. The feeling of companionship was lost to him. "I might watch that tonight. If you are free. Unless you have plans with another who you are.. Close to."

Tellios wasn't hungry. He didn't need to eat. He just needed to sleep once in a while. Drinking was just an added bonus he could add to reserve energy. Nothing special happened to him like normal humans. He was curious on the effects of Caffeine on Pollyanna.

Let the test begin

He saw in his optics with a smile on his face. "I am fine, if you require to eat. Please let me know, It is.. On me as you could say." He was going to pay for the lunch and drink, it would be nice to sit down and eat lunch with his room mate and friend. He was going to enjoy this, and have some personal fun while he was at it.

With Tellios and her plans set in a mutual path, Pollyanna seemed even more eager to carry out the rest of the day in a positive manner. She glanced back at him to notice that his eyes had shifted for a second, though she hadn't intended to say anything. After all, it was her that she seemed the out of place one. She felt... Defective, like a creature that didn't belong. Naturally she'd embrace whatever differences anyone had. Besides, she saw Tellios as cool anyway. Unfortunately though a bit of sadness did well within her, for he struggled with identifying just who he was. If only he saw what she saw.

"Hey." She said simply, patting his shoulder with a small smile. "Don't worry yourself too much on that sort of thing. A lot of humans struggle with that too, finding out who they are and stuff." She looked out to the sea and sighed. "You are human. At least, in being sentient and stuff. You feel things like they do and think like they do. It is hard to go on without knowing everything 100% but..." She turned back to face him. "You're not alone in that."

Following that she glanced back to the cafe, beginning to walk peppily so that Tellios could keep up. She stopped upon him making his offer, putting on a broad grin. She wasn't a very busy person, spending most of her time by herself. But despite this she was more than willing to spend time with her friends, especially if it meant showing them something they hadn't seen much of before. "I'd be happy to show you. It's worth at least once to walk around here at night." Se assured, glad to go along with him. It was something to really look forward to at least.

With this confirmation she bounced on forth, walking backwards still facing Tellios. "Oh... Well, I'm a little bit hungry, if you don't mind." She felt a little bad having him pay, but was thankful of it none the less. She'd do her best to keep it cheap. After only a handful of seconds walking she entered the cafe, up to a lady who immediately sat them. She sat down across from Tellios and smiled. It would be nice getting lunch with her roommate.

Glancing at the menu, she tried to decide what she wanted. She didn't want to be too sugared up, considering Tellios would have to deal with her the rest of the day. And she didn't want him to leave her because she stepped out of line. "This stuff looks good..." She commented, before tilting her head a bit. "So, did you have any plans after this? I mean... If you were open or anything." She didn't want to impose on him, but... Well, it would be a nice day to hit the town with a buddy.

Tellios was always registering some kind of issue with in himself, all the coding gave him realistic feelings. Pain, Suffering, Joy and Sorrow were his allies to a point. Tellios looked over at Pollyanna with a smile as he began to talk himself.

"Your words are.. Logical. They do ring a bit of truth. Though he did find logic in them, something in the back of him didn't feel right about it. Can a machine be human? Can someone not born of a man BE human? He shook his head as she stopped and he looked. Almost like his was mid movement. His foot in the air as he had a foot out while he was looking at her.

"I'd like that Pollyanna. I would like that a lot. Is.. That what they consider a 'date'?" He was curious, the tone in his voice at the end was more inquisitive than the start.

When she went into a cafe he nodded his head as he followed her in. It was a nice small place. Nothing big or fancy but had a lot of nice things inside. So they were sat down She looked like she was trying to keep it cheap. So Tellios just ordered a coffee as he looked at her. "It's my treat Pollyanna. No need to hold back."

He wanted to ensure that his roommate was fine and happy, and wasn't starving, most of what Tellios ate was metal, she wasn't him. She couldn't live on scraps of metal, and didn't want to think of her living off scraps of food so Tellios leaned forward a little with his arms on the table. "I have no plans. My schedule says 'Free'. Though, I have already added you in. What would you like to do?"

Hope was the only thing that kept Pollyanna going through her own conflict. It was a mixed bag of a relief and sorrow to see that she wasn't alone in the war of the label. Tellios was human to her. Just as she insisted she was herself. Technically, was that true? Of course not. But she felt being human was more of a state of mind than anything. And as each day passed it seemed the both of them were figuring that out even more. No need to contemplate that now though. Living in the moment and taking the day as it was seemed to be the trick to guaranteeing happiness. At least for the moment.

And she appreciated the moment. It would be getting cold soon in this weather, and even though she had fur if she chose so it would only keep her but so warm. Thus this day meant a lot of things, not just physical. She didn't have many friends, so of course an outing with one would brighten her mood. But she didn't say a word until he mentioned a date. To that, she tilted her head. "Date? She hadn't been on one of those, so she wasn't familiar with what those exactly were. Well, they were good friends in her mind. Wasn't something that friends would do? "I think so... Well, I'd want to go on one if it means I get to spend time with you!" Of course then she would comply. She nodded eagerly as the waitress came around. Tellios had assured her she could get what she wanted, but she still inclined to not go overboard. Coffee and a muffin would do for her, as long as it was sweet. Once she confirmed this she looked back to Tellios.

He asked her what she wanted to do. She smiled and folded her arms on top of the table. "Well, you've already treated me out to lunch. I'm happy with anything. So, what about you? Is there anything you've wanted to do or see? I know the island a bit so... I figured we could just wander around a bit." She shrugged, though more innocent that dismissive. "I want you to get something out of this too, y'know."

Tellios smiled. His facial expressions as this form were almost life like. His Steel insides were always twisting and turning due to the constant movement. He was more human than he thought. Even than most people. He just wanted to ensure he was who he thought he was. Nothing more and nothing less. To not just be a series of numbers or just a thing to be discarded. Even if he could accept new technology.

He always had access to many weather stations at once and was curious on how people dressed in the winter. Tellios wasn't much of a seasons person. Cold never affected him since he could just heat himself. "Yeah. A date." He said. Many questions ran through his head with one answer as lines of text were slowly moving. It all came to 'yes' or even 'no' they were just out and that was what they wanted. To spend some more time. If that was all it was Tellios would be content. "I'm.. Flattered Pollyanna." Tellios said with a genuine smile on his face.

Tellios just asked for tea, and pointed at Pollyanna letting the waitress know not to let her finish her order with out some kind food for Pollyanna.

"I care not. I wish to study the area so I can map it out for myself. As well as.. Well. That is a different story." He didn't want to tell her he wanted to set up some kind of security footage around town. That wasn't for her to know. He looked at her. The green lines faded to show his eyes. Their eyes met for a moment as he spoke. "I get more out of this than you know Pollyanna."

Maybe it was just her simple mind, but honestly Pollyanna didn’t even notice half the time that Tellios wasn’t biologically human. The way he smiled, or even interacted with her was clearly human. Even in his robotic quirks due to his nanites she didn’t mind anything, and accepted him for who he was. That’s what friends did, right?

She beamed eagerly when he confirmed their mutual desire to spend some more time together. There were things she wanted for him to see, at least so that he could know the island better if he didn’t know everything already. She had to admit, she felt on the intelligence department she lacked a bit in comparison. But that didn’t matter. There was always room to learn new things, and the best way was to have new experiences. ”And I’m excited.” She assured. When he explained his true purpose, that he wanted to find out more on the island. Along with something else. What was it? Her curiosity was kept at bay though, so that at least he’d have his privacy. ”I hope you learn something new. This place is full of unusual things. It’d be cool if we found out something when we’re together later.” She mused, before turning to the waitress to complete her order.

With that out of the way, she tilted her head in confusion to his final question. ”What do you mean?” She asked. ”I’m… I’m excited for this too. I don’t get out often because I usually stay inside so I can be my real self… I mean, I know the place well enough, so I could get you around alright. Guess it’ll be a bit new for me too.”

Tellios wasn't about to tell Pollyanna his plan to put nanites everywhere so he could have constant surveillance of the city and all it's corners. To learn things about the world, people. Just what ever he could see and keep it all under his eyes. Inside his own mind. Watching like the silent eye that judges everything.

Came up in Tellios' eye. He closed his eyes for a moment and he was almost 'Lost in Space' seeing a route with the map in his head as a tea cup landed in front of him and what Pollyanna ordered was placed in front of her. He shook it off and smiled. "I am excited too." He wanted to explain. "I am sure the school is the most unusual thing. I mean, I have walked into more different species and variations of humans that would be considered weird." He said with a laugh. Though the joke in his own head came up as 'Very Dry' with a caution sign.

"I do not care where we go. The more I see the better." He smiled. He was happy to be here, though it was more of Tellios who was getting something out of this. "Maybe we should spend more time out in the city. Just you and I. Maybe once a weekend?"

When the food arrived, Pollyanna immediately got to it. Carefully, of course. She didn’t want to slip up in front of her friend from being clumsy. But she doubted anything could go wrong today. Tellios was more than happy to be with her company, and she felt the same way. There were endless opportunities for this island, and they would have time to explore them all. Even at his joke about it she chuckled, merely because she found it to be true."Mhm! Some of them aren’t even human at all… I’ve seen dragons, talking animals, monsters… There are so many things here I didn’t even think existed!" Pollyanna chirped almost excitedly, smiling. "You get used to it though. Besides you get to learn about a whole bunch of different types of students. No two people are exactly alike." Just look at them. One was practically a robot and the other was a bat mutant. The school was full of interesting people, and they didn't even have to explore the town to find something new. Still, the sentiment was nice.

Upon ideas on where to go, she immediately knew an answer. "Well, we can always explore the coast line, or some of the buildings nearby..." She suggested before looking down to her drink to think. But with his second suggestion, she perked completely up. If she had her ears out and her other form ready, those would perked completely up. "R-really? You mean that?" She asked, a small smile spreading across her face. "I'd love that! Maybe we can go out for lunch or something, or just hang out... If you want to. Or we could find a new place every week and explore it." She looked at him almost shyly, and shrugged a bit. "If that's okay with you."
