Tellios was talking downtown and he had his hands in his dress pants pockets as he noted the time. High noon. It wasn't anything out of the normal. It was on the weekend and he had no classes, his one day off away from everyone. His roommate even. It was nice to finally be around the audible silence, it wasn't that he didn't like his roommate. He liked her. It was just he wanted to see more of the island as he was going.

Though sometimes kept playing in his head over and over again. Her voice was audible in his ears as he stopped for a moment and looked around when he realized he was playing an audio file he recorded and turned it off.

Looking up to the clouds he smiled. It was a nice day out. No rain at all. Not a single cloud in the sky either, it was a beautiful day for some sight seeing and he decided to take his walk to the pier. He moved his way to the piers by Downtown and looked at the Ocean. It meant a lot to him, a wide open space, free of doubt and insecurities on the outside, but holds an ecosystem like humanity has never seen truly on the inside.

He smiled a hearty smile as he watched the waves, he could feel the breeze to a point, it almost felt good to his receptors as he just stood and watched. Nothing in his coding made sense of what was going on. He was a machine though, he was sentient. He was starting to believe he had a soul.

He was keeping tabs on where his nanites were, it seemed the theatre was good, the whole school was good as well as Pollyanna and a few others he hid one on. He closed his eyes and just listened to the oceans noises and recorded it for a little while, for something he could listen to later. The sound of the waves, the seagulls. It was what he would consider mystical.

He was enjoy his time away from everything. Everyone for the most part. Sometimes he preferred being things on his own that wasn't in his room.

<div align=center>It really wasn't all that common for the mutant to be outside for more than just shopping for her room, and yet here she was. Granted Pollyanna did go out to pick up more art supplies, as evident in the small bags she was carrying. Even still she would have been back to the campus already had it not been for the nearly perfect weather outside. If there was one thing she appreciated more than artistic endeavors it was the postcard-esque island around her. It even managed to sidetrack her mind for two hours or so. But knowing her, that wasn't really saying much.

The young miss was in her human form, despite how uncomfortable it sometimes was for her. Even if a dull sense of pain wiped over her that didn't do much to dull her rather upbeat mood. She would have even broken out in skipping if she wasn't wearing a sundress, but with the slight breeze that may not be a wise decision. On any case it was a good day to be out and about, even if people just weren't her thing.

Her little walk had come to a stop when she reached a street corner, busy with traffic. With this came the opportunity for her to reach into her messenger bag, both checking the time on her phone and something else. After a little digging around she gently pulled out the nanite she had gotten from her roommate not too long ago, still baffled by the piece of technology. Watching it from the palm of her hand she giggled, poking it softly with the other. She hadn't seen her roommate all day, but at least she had something that told her that he was okay.

Placing the little nanobot on her shoulder she glanced back up when the light changed, her in turn crossing the street. The crosswalk took her to the sidewalk parallel to the sandy shores of the island, something she quite enjoyed looking at. But as she scanned the coast line a familiar figure came to sight, at first requiring her to squint. As soon as she saw who it was though she beamed, a hope coming up inside her that he wouldn't be unhappy to see her.

Gathering up some courage she ran up to him, only to stop few feet away from his back. She had to play this cool, because a tackle-hug might not be the best for this scenario. "Hey Tellios!" She then finally called, a bit far away as to get his attention first. If he ignored her, then she'd go away. Simple as that. "Fancy seeing you up here! What's up?"</div>

Tellios was far to busy listening to the waves of the ocean crashing on the dock as he put his hands on a railing, listening to it. Enjoy every moment of it. He was thinking about doing this as a Saturday thing, to come down to the dock and just enjoy the view. He was so fixated on the waves and the sounds it drowned out almost anything with in earshot that didn't sound like a gun shot.

Like someone yelling his name. He kept to himself for a portion of this, just talking to himself, reading. Even watching videos he had gotten a hold of from the school. This wasn't something he liked to do and keep to himself, especially to a select few.

He moved slightly his elbows now on the railing as his hands held each other and he gazed out, listening to some couple bicker on a ship, A couple of drunks on another yelling at each other. It wasn't anything new for here in which he understood. He thought he heard someone call out his name and he turned to the right and left, but not behind him and shrugged as he went back to what he was doing.

"It's a.. Beautiful day"

He said out loud. He noticed that many people weren't around him so he just decided to talk out loud to himself, no one would judge him. He had hoped.

<div align=center>For a bit, Pollyanna waited, hoping he would answer her. If she had been in her 'real' form, her tail probably would have been wagging a mile a minute. If she didn't plan to see someone out she rarely did. Which was why every meet up was important. Even if her friends didn't either hear her or want to hear her. Or both.

Her anxiety grew a bit in the pit of her stomach when he wasn't answering. Was he... Mad at her? Oh she hoped not. She didn't do anything wrong from as far as she could remember. Her fears were somewhat and suddenly relieved when he appeared to look around as if he could have heard her. So maybe that was a good thing!

Well the waves of the ocean were hard to overtake in sound anyway. So how else would she get his attention? The idea from earlier resurfaced but quickly she suppressed it. That would make him mad, wouldn't it? But... She only wanted to say hi. Hopefully he wouldn't hate her.

Without a second thought the frizzy brunette ran after him, bouncing at the last second before yelling a "Tellios!" again, latching onto his torso with eager arms. She giggled a bit as she hugged him. "You didn't hear me earlier so I guess I had to show you I was here!... Unless you don't want me here, of course..." She looked down, letting her grip a bit more loose. "Then I'll go. Anyway, I wanted to say hi. What brings you down here?" She asked in a curious tone, hoping her roommate didn't someone get ruined day out of this.

"Well, besides it being really beautiful out. You're right in that one." </div>

Tellios felt something hit him. It wasn't familiar and he wasn't used to it though he did notice a familiar noise from the nanobot as it got closer and noticed that it was Pollyanna hugging him. He smiled a moment. Letting himself be caught by surprise. It wasn't something he had wanted to have happen with a friend so it was a nice change.

"P-Pollyanna?"

He said looking over his shoulde. She wanted to let him know that she was there, he didn't hear him earlier due to him changing the direction of his audio receptors to catch the ocean.

"Sorry, I did not mean to make you feel left out. I would be... Over joyed to have you around Pollyanna."

He said with a smile on his face. He turned his head a little bit more as she held him. He felt a warm breeze go past him. She asked what he was up to today, more like why he was here.

"No, please stay, you are always welcome company. I just wanted to take a day off from it all. School, just that building in general. I wanted to visit the islands many sights."

He put his hand on one of her arms and rubbed his thumb up and down on it. He did think it was a beautiful day so he was enjoying himself. It was a beautiful day as he was going with in this whole day.

"If you wanted to come, I would have asked, but you looked like you were enjoying yourself so I just let you be."

<div align=center>The moment Tellios smiled back at her was the moment her fears were relieved about making him hate her or scaring him. Or, even worse, if he wasn't Tellios at all! That would have been embarrassing though fortunately that wasn't the case. Her hug was accepted and received positive reception. It was all that mattered.

Letting go of her hug she looked back up at him after his confirmation that he didn't mind she was here. That was good. Plus, he had a very valid reason to not have heard her. That was also good. "It's okay. It is pretty loud around here. I'm just happy you're happy to see me too!" She beamed, bouncing on her toes a little bit. Not even having sugar today she was a bit more energetic than usual, despite her pretty much mellow personality... As on an off that was, really. Her attention then turned to her surroundings, an eased smile on her face as she took it all in. The sound of waves, gulls, and the breeze were mixed with the smell of salt and the smell of food from stores nearby. Her sense of smell was high from her DNA, though it would be even better if she shifted. But that would never, ever happen in public. Not if she could help it.

"You wouldn't mind me hanging out around with you?" Great! Once that was confirmed she smiled and noted to watch her own behavior. She'd have to be extra good in public, especially around her friend. "I understand though... There's a lot of people and it's really loud. It's good to take off every once in awhile." She confirmed with a nod. "Besides school is stressful as it is. Glad you're out and about here, though." At least she did have friends to bump into for once. And it felt nice to see them again. Even if they lived in the same room.

"It's alright, I probably was a bit busy... I've been doing for paintings and stuff for my teacher so I was probably concentrating on that..." And now she was getting off topic. "But I'd be more than happy to hang out wit you. Were you thinking of going anywhere in specific? Or were you just chillin by the ocean?" Both were good ways to spend the day. She then tilted her head, still looking up at his eyes. "So, do you like the island so far? It's a lot to get used to, but I hope you like what's here. And if you need anything, I'll be glad to help you out if I can."</div>

Miralis sighed for a moment at her what he thought was just nervousness. He found it illogical in all manners, but it wasn't something he wasn't accustomed to. So he just rolled with it in general. Would have been funny he hear her hug someone that wasn't him. A smile slowly crawled onto his face as he listened.

"How can I not be? It's not everyday we get to leave dorms for me anyways."

She seemed very entertained by the idea of today being nice and that Tellios was happy to see him. He did like her company so it worked out perfectly. Either way it was interesting to see. It left a good recording into his memory folder that someone was happy to see him in his life. Even if she looked like she was on enough caffeine to drive someone insane. Either way. It was something he wanted to do for himself was to leave someone in someones mind anyways. Something he would be proud to.

Your company would be appreciated. Though if my recordings are correct I owe you Ice Cream. So it works out. A day out and Ice Cream."

She understood, that was a good thing. Either way it did say something about her character wanting to hang out with him so it was nice. His smile didn't really leave his face as he was talking to her.

"Indeed, due to my course load I do not get much time to go out, some times simple pleasure that most people take for granted entertains me to a point."

He said turning back to the Ocean, just giving it a quick glance, most of Tellios' human like features seemed more humans as he had bags under his eyes from what would simulate a lack of sleep. Normally leaving a human to be emotional drained and physically dead.

"Indeed, you enjoy your painting so I decided to leave you to it. the Nanite is also connected to a wireless system so you may use to listen to music as you go."

He said and she went off topic. He wasn't big on the fact that she was asking about it at all. He was more than happy to spend time with her. All she needed was to ask.

"Please, there is not a time where your company would be a problem. I do not know what I wanted to do today, I was content here unless you have a better idea."

She asked how he liked the island, it was.. Big. Bigger than he thought, but at the same time he just felt trapped. As if he was trapped here in general. He then rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"It's.. Nice. I can see the sky, not through pictures. Not through anything else. It is.. Perfect. Almost like what you could call a dream."

<div align=center>With the feeling mutual and greetings being out of the way the young mutant calmed herself a bit, taking in a few breaths silently to curb her enthusiasm. Being this hyper gave her a headache, and as she was a generally laid back person it only took extreme measures of excitement for her to act so wildly. But she couldn't help it. She had a friend she didn't expect to run into while being out. And now he brought up ice cream again.

"Perfect." Pollyanna responded to the plan with a wide smile. "Sounds like a good idea." Ironically enough she didn't see him as often as she should have, considering they lived together. So now that they had the chance to be together just for a little outing she hoped it wouldn't be taken for granted. Specifically on her end. "I'm glad you could make it out though. It's nice your classes let up a little." Not like she was the best student herself, in fact she was far from it.

At his generosity and reminder of the small nanite that was resting in her bag. It did provide her with a bit of company if she was alone, and though she valued solidarity it did get a bit uneasy with how silent things got. Especially considering her hearing was above average and her own speakers broke so she couldn't remove that silence. "Ah, you can talk to me anytime, even if I'm painting. It's one of the only things I can do while talking at the same time. Wish I could say the same about schoolwork." She chuckled a bit bitterly, though her tone was certainly still lighthearted. Out of all the things that mattered, her brain chose to focus on her hobbies to want to pay attention to rather than her future. Stupid brain. "That's really nifty though, seems like these little guys do everything."

With that her sight turned back to the ocean while her hearing focused on the sound of his voice. It seemed the two were equally bored but the day they were happened to be rather pleasant. He mentioned how he was happy, and how this place seemed unreal. She felt the same way to an extent. "Well I'm glad you've found this place. It is pretty hard to believe somewhere like this exists..." She sighed, smiling. "It certainly is good for people that just wanna be themselves without being worried about others. Plus, it's real pretty." Laughing a bit she looked up to him, an excited little grin on her face.

"So you wanna head on? Or stay here a little longer? It's up to you, you pick!" </div>

Tellios' mind was going through too many processes at once. His head of numbers and words were flying through his optics as he smiled a bit. Even if he was thinking of things as he was going. He was making this day up as he was going since his plans were disrupted by a force he didn't expect. He never expected Pollyanna. He shrugged a little.

Perfect wasn't the term he would use, but it was a nice term that worked out for him. He didn't see her as often since he was always doing something when it came to his own mind, or seeing things that he hasn't seen before for his own eyes. Even if they are machines. His classes do let up sometimes, but he has so many he stopped caring, he can show signs of fatigue but is never really tired and just needs a quick recharge here and there, either plug in or just to sit in the sun every so often. Enjoy himself so to speak.

Power; 90% he saw in his head. It was good day.

He smiled, she cared he guessed. Could be just as she does. Cares for all, but either way. He cracked his Neck, moving it around for a moment. The crack sounded more like metal bending. He stopped in the middle of it. Scratching the back of his head he laughed a bit and then listened to her.

"I mean, I knew you enjoyed painting. I know you have a strong attraction to it so I did not want to hinder you. Plus, you are good at it." He said to her with a bright smile on his face. it wasn't natural thing for him, but he liked it. He enjoyed it. "They can do a lot. Though even I do not know all that they do."

He scratched his nose. He was having some fun since he was outside with Pollyanna. So he wanted to make the most of it. He liked this place.

"I like this place. I have taken a liking to anything that is nature. The ocean, forests. I found myself in other places recently just. Walking." what she said after. She wasn't wrong. Tellios wanted to be himself. "This is unreal. It is a perfect place to be. Just to sit, and look at."

Tellios leaned forward onto a railing as he looked out to the sea. The sound of wiring could be hear from his eyes as he was zooming into something. He pulled away and looked at Pollyanna.

"Let's go somewhere else. You can pick where we go. I do not mind. Though I am sure that this could be a good time for us to get Coffee though."

He said to her. He wanted to get something to drink. Maybe some coffee or water. Or even tea. Just something.

Being out like this was always a day pleasantly spent. Meeting up with a friend made it seem even more so, and even though everything was unexpected she still appreciated it nonetheless. The only thing seemingly damper her good mood though was that slight headache forming at the back of her brain. Possibly her need to shift, but not here, not now. Besides, it wasn’t like her to reveal herself in public. Best to wait to get home.

Regardless she looked back up to Tellios, smiling. ”You really think so?” She never thought she was particularly good at what she did. She enjoyed it with a passion, but didn’t see her hobby as anything noteworthy. Perhaps that was just a common art thing, anyway. ”Well, thanks!” She chirped, happy with the compliment. Maybe she’d paint something for him. Give her something to do anyway, since she wasn’t involved in much after school. And at least she’s have some company, considering the little robot she carried around with her. To this, she added in ”I hope this place helps you explore some stuff about yourself then. I learned that I could use echolocation from this school, maybe you’ll find something cool these little guys can do?” It was a hopeful thought anyway.

Her short attention span soon turned towards the ocean, its clear blue waves making for a jice hum in the background. She chuckled warmly, nodding. ”You sure got that right...” Her voice trailed off a bit as she almost became distracted. It was easy to get lost in the mind with places like these. At least it provided her inspiration for whatever she worked on next. ”It’s really pretty when the sun goes down and all. Easy to get lost in, that’s for sure.” The stars that lingered in the sky was one of her favorite parts of this place. Being a nocturnal creature naturally may have aided this, but it was at least true that it was atmospheric at night. Pollyanna watched him approach the railing, leaning over it to look at the world before him. She smiled. It must have meant a lot to him to be out of wherever he came from and into his own freedom. It was all faint memories to her, but she still knew what it was like to be pent up so long as nothing more than a pending experiment. The thoughts made her upset, so she shook it all off. Best to keep the good mood going, after all.

And so it would. Her mind was once more grounded into reality when he mentioned grabbing coffee. She wasn’t supposed to have caffeine, but… Well, maybe just on special occasions wouldn’t be so bad, right? ”That sounds great. Um...” She started to think, glancing around and putting a finger on her chin pensively. Where could they go? She soon set her sight on a little cafe. She pointed. ”Oh! There’s a cafe there. I’m sure they’ll have something, as well as food in case you’re hungry.” Did he even eat? She hadn’t really asked. ”We can go there, if that’s okay.” She offered, tilting her head both quizzically and hopefully.
