"Alright, That sounds good to me."

He smiled walking with her to the lake, he felt so happy to have her hand in his. He wanted to break out in boogie, he never felt so happy and in love. He saw her shock he readied to let go of her hand. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. He felt a tinge of disappointment. But then to his surprise what happened next nearly shocked him.

She didn't let go! She was relaxing now, this made him wonder what was going through her mind. One minute she seemed to be against it and then the next she softened and let it happen. He wondered what this meant, She couldn't actually like me, I mean.... Not in that way, she's probably just having pity or being nice as a friend. He didn't want to ask because he knew deep inside he was a chicken, he was afraid to move too fast lest he lose her. And was afraid to move too slow lest something happened.

Percy smiled sitting next to her but not too close so that he wouldn't make her uncomfortable. He smiled at her his legs on the ground his hands rested on the cool ground. He never saw a more beautiful sight then the sky darkening because of the early sunset and the moon peeking through and the moonlight slipping through her hair. He felt himself once again wishing he was older so he could act more romantic without feeling as though he was being looked at like a little kid.

"So... what should we talk about? I'm sorry that I haven't really started any conversations... I'm just not good at coming up with things to talk about."

He smiled, "How about what your plans are for the future.... I mean everyone has a plan of what they want to do or be or something." He said leaning back on his hands looking up at the moonlight.

The woman looked at Percy, watching as he sat down. She wondered what he thought of her holding his hand. That really hadn't been the best idea. What if she had accidentally raised his hopes, and perhaps her own as well? She rubbed her face with her hands, wishing she hadn't done that. She could have at least grabbed his wrist or arm and pulled him out of there, but his hand?

I'm an idiot.... she told herself mentally.

"How about what your plans are for the future.... I mean everyone has a plan of what they want to do or be or something."

When asked this, Cordelia raised an eyebrow, but shrugged her shoulders, remaining silent as she thought. Did keeping an eye on her brother count as a plan for the future? She had no idea. It was something she did want to do, not to mention a responsibility, but she figured that it didn't really count. "I have absolutely no idea..." she admitted truthfully. "I just plan on managing not to get myself killed, I guess. That, and.... um.... maybe becoming less violent? Doubt the latter will happen, though. Oh! And staying clear of Rayana! That too. I can't stand her."

Cordelia laughed at herself, shaking her head. Did wanting to keep away from someone count as a plan for the future? It was just like the situation with Sonlath — she wasn't sure if it counted. Oh, well.

She knew keeping her little brother pretty much a secret probably wasn't fair to him, but she didn't care much. If she ever came to trust him more, she would find a way to mention it. Because, really, why would she just blurt out something like 'oh, I have a little brother, too!' out of no where?

"What are yours? Besides getting a girlfriend, that is," the twenty year old asked with a laugh. It was obvious that he wanted a girlfriend in the future, seeing as how he flirted with people nonstop and had even told her that he loved her.

He frowned lightly to show disapproval , "Your not violent, your just high spirited there's nothing wrong with that." He said with a smile looking at her, he wondered why she seemed to think the worst of herself. He chuckled at her comment about Rayana, "She is a bit scary, I think it's because she's sooo old."

"What are yours? Besides getting a girlfriend, that is,"

"Marriage, a nice size family, protecting them and providing for them. Probably will use my abilities to provide for them by fighting, of course that may never be. But it's my goal and dream to be able to have a family that I could love and protect. I know it sounds pretty corny but it's what I want." He said with a light smile, how much he had fallen in love with her. He wished he was older looking so this dream would be easier to accomplish.

"Your not violent, your just high spirited there's nothing wrong with that."

"You have no idea how violent I can be, Percy," Cordelia told him. Her thoughts immediately went to the unnecessary deaths of a few innocent men who had done nothing to her, and she sighed. She had only done it out of anger and had needed to take it out on someone... and so, they had died. She honestly didn't know if someone had been accused of the crime yet, but she didn't care to find out. Another innocent person being harmed for her anger was something she didn't want to see. "And what do you mean by high spirited?" she asked, not offended or angry, just confused.

"She is a bit scary, I think it's because she's sooo old."

The woman laughed. "Yeah. I'm not afraid of her, though, I yelled at her a few times, actually. She's not a nice person in my opinion." She shrugged her shoulders, not really caring.

".... But it's my goal and dream to be able to have a family that I could love and protect. I know it sounds pretty corny but it's what I want."

She smiled. "It's not corny," she told him. "That was what I wanted at one point too. It's understandable.... especially for you, who's never had someone love them." She smiled again, then went silent.

"You have no idea how violent I can be, Percy,"

Percy looked at her, "I'm old I've seen how much violence women can do. Cordelia I know that deep in your heart your not what you do. Your much more than beatings and heartache. Your still the same person inside, your just hurting and that's why you act angry and beat." He smiled lightly at her, "Nothing can change my opinion of you."

"And what do you mean by high spirited?"

"I mean that your very independant and strong willed, you don't need to feel people accept you. Your free and untamable like the wind, that's what I mean by high spirited. Your quite a wonderful person to be around." He said looking at her a smile upon his face, he liked her so much. He wished he could move the relationship down the path of boyfriend/girlfriend. But he hadn't a clue how to do that.

"Yeah. I'm not afraid of her, though, I yelled at her a few times, actually. She's not a nice person in my opinion."

He chuckled, "Yeah, probably yet another person with a bad past... You know I wouldn't be surprised if deep inside she was a nice person. I guess you might say you can't trust how people look and act, you got to look at the heart without the barriers." He said with a shrug.

"It's not corny, That was what I wanted at one point too. It's understandable.... especially for you, who's never had someone love them."

He looked at her, he felt she was thinking about her past love again. He put his hand lightly on her's, "You know, I bet your husband was a happy man to have such a wife as you." He said trying to cheer her up slightly.

"Nothing can change my opinion of you."

The woman sighed. So he thought she was a good person and all the things she did were out of hurt? Whether he thought so or not, her actions made up her character. At least, that was what she had always believed. "Nothing can? Really? Well, what if I told you that I was a murderer?" she asked. She wondered how he would reply to that, and an eyebrow raised slightly as she waited.

"I mean that your very independant and strong willed, you don't need to feel people accept you... Your quite a wonderful person to be around."

Cordelia shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, I guess you're right," she said. When he told her that she was a wonderful person to be around, she was silent for a few moments. Was she really that great of a person to hang out with? She didn't think so, but if he did, then there was really nothing she could do to change his opinion. "And, um, thanks? I don't know whether I should be glad or not that you think I'm a wonderful person to be around."

"Yeah, probably yet another person with a bad past... You know I wouldn't be surprised if deep inside she was a nice person...."

At this, the vampire just burst out laughed. He really thought Rayana was a nice person deep down? Oh, how absolutely wrong he was! "Oh, yes indeed!" she said sarcastically, obviously not agreeing with him. "I mean, murdering a man in front of people and being upset because his blood stained your shirt has to be a kind action, right?" She rolled her eyes, but didn't say anything more.

As Percy's hand touched hers, her face went red again and she looked down, trying to hide it, but failing miserably. His trying to cheer him up hadn't really cheered her up too much, though it had brought the smallest of smiles to her face. "Yeah... but, then again, I was different back then. He probably wouldn't like me the way I am now," she said. "But, oh well. Like I've said in the past, I don't care what others think of me."

"Nothing can? Really? Well, what if I told you that I was a murderer?"

"I'm a murderer sometimes, so it makes no difference if you are. Unless you killed me then I'd regret turning my back to you long enough for you to kill me. But besides that nothing would change my opinion of you." He said with a light smile, he was a very trusting person when it came to some people.

"And, um, thanks? I don't know whether I should be glad or not that you think I'm a wonderful person to be around."

"Glad would be the proper reaction, unless you don't like me and then you might feel annoyed that I think that your a wonderful person to be around." He said with a light chuckle. He couldn't believe how fast he was falling in love with her, she was like a ray of sunshine in his life. He couldn't stay in real life sunshine long, but she he could stay in long and this made him happy.

"Oh, yes indeed! I mean, murdering a man in front of people and being upset because his blood stained your shirt has to be a kind action, right?"

He chuckled "Doesn't Amelia beat men? Don't people do cruel things when their angry? Maybe she only acts evil to hide that, unless she really is. Of course only she would really know her past, I'm not saying I think it's okay for her to be cruel but it happens to the best of people." He said solumnly wondering why Cordelia's emotions sometimes seemed so hard to read.

"Yeah... but, then again, I was different back then. He probably wouldn't like me the way I am now, But, oh well. Like I've said in the past, I don't care what others think of me."

He smiled at her blushing, he loved the way her cheeks would pinken and she'd look everso pretty even if she seemed to be embarassed or shy she didn't move her hand. He left his touching her's wanting to touch her's for even if it was the tiniest bit longer. "You know... He probably understands. I know that if you were mine I would still love you the same and understand." Sometimes he never realized what he said, what was worse was the loving look in his eyes. He still didn't realize how much he said.

"I'm a murderer sometimes, so it makes no difference if you are. Unless you killed me then I'd regret turning my back to you long enough for you to kill me....."

She sighed. Well, the murderer bit hadn't helped her much. It was surprising, though; she hadn't expected Percy, of all people, to have been a murderer sometimes. She didn't know why, but, he just didn't seem like the kind of person to kill another. "Oh... I see... wait, you've killed before?" she asked. "And, you don't have to worry about me killing you. I honestly don't plan on ever doing that."

"Glad would be the proper reaction...."

"Ok. I'm glad then," Cordelia said, laughing softly at the fact that he mentioned her not liking him. "Don't worry, Percy. I like you."

"..... Maybe she only acts evil to hide that, unless she really is. Of course only she would really know her past, I'm not saying I think it's okay for her to be cruel but it happens to the best of people."

The woman rolled her eyes. "Trust me. She isn't just acting evil, she is evil," she said. "With the way I saw her personality, yeah... I doubt there's any kindness in her heart." She shook her head, not wishing to think about it, really, but she would continue to talk about it if Percy wanted to.

"You know... He probably understands. I know that if you were mine I would still love you the same and understand."

Her face became even more red at what he said. If she was his, he would still feel the same and understand... aww! It would have made her cry had she been depressed, or had she been the same she was before her family died. "Heh, thanks," she said. "But I'm not yours." She pulled her hand away from his, even though it felt wonderful to have his hand on hers. She didn't care if what she had just said dashed his hopes; it was the truth. As of now, she wasn't his.

"Oh... I see... wait, you've killed before? And, you don't have to worry about me killing you. I honestly don't plan on ever doing that."

"Yes I've killed before, I mean no vampire can ever say they've never killed a soul when their my age. I knew what I was doing though the people I kill are mostly evil who care nothing for goodness or kindness to people." He said to her remembering some people he killed that were innocent, he didn't think they were innocent at the time he killed them though so truly it was kind of a accident.

"Ok. I'm glad then, Don't worry, Percy. I like you."

He smiled, "I'm glad..." He wondered in what way she liked him, he guessed the friend way seeing she was dead set against a relationship from what he guessed. He looked at her, he wanted to have and to hold her. Not as one would a thing they owned, but a thing they loved, a person they loved and wanted to have their presence and hold them forever.

"Trust me. She isn't just acting evil, she is evil, With the way I saw her personality, yeah... I doubt there's any kindness in her heart."

He chuckled, "Maybe she just wants you to think that, or maybe not. Your most likely right though, but I make it a habit to never think the worst of a person even if they are evil." He said with a light smile.

"Heh, thanks, But I'm not yours."

He felt her hand pull away, he inwardly wanted to take it back in his and kiss it. But he knew that wouldn't help the situation. "I know your not mine, I know most likely I'd never have that chance to try to have you become mine. I only wish I did." He said looking at the stars in the sky, he noticed a star he often stared at. He smiled and pointed to it, "That star is what they call lover's star, they say all the people who loved you in life see you when you look at it." He said to her thoughtfully.

The woman shrugged. "True, I suppose. I mean, you are pretty old." She stuck her tongue out at him after saying that. He was a better person than she was, that was for sure. At lease he killed people who were pretty much evil... she killed innocent people who could have done some good in the world. "Ah, well, though. I guess it's impossible for a vampire to never kill someone."

"I'm glad..."

"You should be," Cordelia told him. "There aren't too many people I like. Feel lucky." The widow went silent, wondering in which way she liked him. She knew she liked him as a bit more than a friend, but less than a boyfriend. She rubbed her forehead out of confusion, but she yawned quietly to make it seem like she was just tired. Hopefully he would never figure out how bad the conflict in her mind was, because if he did, that would only make matters worse for her. "Anyway, um, yeah. So how was your day?" It was a horrible attempt to try and change the subject, but she had tried, and that was all that mattered, really.

".... Your most likely right though, but I make it a habit to never think the worst of a person even if they are evil."

The woman smirked, knowing that she did the exact opposite. "I usually think the worst of bad people. I mean, if they're bad to start with, why even try to give them the benefit of the doubt and think they're good inside? Their actions obviously would prove otherwise, right? ... I don't know." Cordelia sighed, believing that she had just rambled a bit right now. Oh, well, it didn't matter too much. She was only giving her opinion, after all.

"But, I must ask, if you always try to think the best of people, then why did you kill people that were evil? Seems a bit contradictory to me." An eyebrow raised slightly and she shrugged her shoulders. She probably shouldn't have mentioned contradictions, seeing as how she could be hypocritical herself at times.

"I know your not mine, I know most likely I'd never have that chance to try to have you become mine. I only wish I did."

The young vampire frowned slightly. "Why me, again? What did I ever do to make you want me?" she asked, slightly frustrated that he continuously said that he wanted to be with her and that he loved her. She probably wasn't helping too much by holding his hand and being his friend, though.

"That star is what they call lover's star, they say all the people who loved you in life see you when you look at it."

Cordelia turned her head and looked at the star out of the corner of her eye. She snorted and rolled her eyes, finding that to be foolish. "Yeah, and Neverland is the second star to the right, correct?" She laughed. Neverland wasn't real, and the fact that loved ones could see others when the star was looked at was just as imaginary. "That's stupid, and I don't think it's possible. My opinion though. You believe whatever you want, however foolish it may be."
