Warming her hands on the mug before she doctored the tea, Ania wished she was smaller so she could curl up around it, like a hot water bottle. Breathing in the steam, Ania appreciated the delicate aroma. "This smells really good." Pouring a little bit of milk and sugar in, she tentatively tasted it, and settled back happy. Making a face at the mountain of sugar that her partner had poured into his own drink, Ania wondered how he could stand that much sweetness. "But... That's so sweet, how can you stand to drink such a rich tea?" If she had ever tried to drink something so sweet, she would probably fall ill immediately.

Following suit and picking up a spoon, she tasted her creation and nodded in reply. Honestly, she hadn't expected it to turn out so nice. She didn't spend too much time around cooking, and preferred to bake. "Perfect meal for such a cold day. It's such a shame that this mysterious sickness is traveling so fast. Try not to get sick, please."

<div align=center>William laughed, and shrugged, "I don't know," he answered, he knew that he put far too much sugar into his tea, but he liked it like that, it tasted good to him. "I just like it this way." He put a huge amount of sugar into coffee if he ever drunk it, too, he tended to avoid that though, the caffeine tended to make him... Excitable. In short, it made him bounce off the walls, which wasn't really a good thing when he was as gangly as he was. Coffee was not a good idea, then again neither was too much sugar... There wasn't really a way to win, he'd be hyper active either way.

"I hope I don't get sick." He frowned, William got sick easily, and he was frightened of this strange illness. He took another spoonful of soup, taking a moment to enjoy the warmth. "You're right," he agreed, "it is perfect." He hoped no one in here was carrying the illness, he'd surely contract it if they were, his immune system was weak and if he got it, it'd probably be twice as bad for him as it was for everyone else. He tended to be debilitated by colds, let alone anything else.</div>

It seemed a bit gross, but as long as he was happy, she didn't mind. She wondered if the sugar ever dissolved, or if it just sat at the bottom of the cup... Waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Shuddering, Ania tried not to think about that and sipped her tea carefully.

"Try not to get too close! It looks like a scary disease... I wouldn't want you falling ill to it." Hopefully she didn't catch it either. She wasn't known for having the strongest immune system out there. Though, she was able to plow through colds and viruses easily enough. Maybe with a bit of willpower, one could shove this illness away? "It's too bad that so many people had to get it... I'll go check on them when this is done." Settling back in her chair, Ania brought the bowl of soup close to her face and took small spoonfuls, enjoying the warmth and taste. She felt herself growing sleepier, and shook herself off. "That's the bad part about a hot meal, it makes you tired."

<div align=center>"Gabe says it's weird too." He told her, more or less guessing what she was thinking, "I put a lot of milk in, too." It all depended what kind of tea he drank, fruit teas and green teas needed no sugar nor milk, they tasted strange if you were to add either of them, and therefore Bill never ever did. "I think we should both try and be careful." William was terrified of death. He didn't ever like to think about it, but he didn't even know if a cure had been developed yet, he hoped one would be found soon, then everything would be okay.

"Perhaps we should take shifts," he suggested, "you could nap while I'm awake... And then when you wake up I could take a nap..." It would get a little lonely until they both felt they were well rested enough, but William didn't mind too much, he could talk to the patients if he felt really lonely, or merely watch them from afar because he was too shy to talk to them, or he was too frightened of getting that horrible disease. He really hoped no one in here had it, he thought there was a quarantine full of those that had caught it. Poor people.</div>

"It is strange, I've never seen anyone else do that before. Though, I've seen plenty of people try to turn their tea into milk. Doesn't it dilute it too much?" She had always preferred to keep a strong flavour and keep dilutants down to a minimum.

Shifts sounded like a good idea. A bit boring, though, if nothing happened. At least they would be a bit stronger if both were well rested enough to push on. "Yes. I don't require too much sleep, so you're welcome to nap first if you like." She wasn't feeling the effects of fatigue yet, the soup and tea spurred her on. "Doesn't seem like anything is really happening right now. "
She would have hated to been assigned to watch over the people who already had it, though. "I heard that when you get the disease, you lose your mind. You try to hurt and kill people... I think that's a scary thought, having no control over your body or actions."

<div align=center>"Milky tea is good." William returned, "it makes you feel cosy." He smiled a little, and finished off the last of his soup, it would have been nice to have some bread to go along with it, but it was good enough on it's own. He downed the rest of his tea, and placed his mug down next to his now empty bowl. "Are you sure?" He asked, he didn't mind who slept first, if something happened then one could wake the other, he was a light sleeper so it most likely wouldn't be all that hard to wake him if needs be.

The disease was frightening. William couldn't imagine ever wanting to hurt people like that, it was almost like it was turning people into zombies. He shuddered, the thought of it terrified him, he'd do everything he could to avoid getting it, he hoped no one he knew got it either, that would be even worse than him getting it. "I don't want to get it." He hugged himself and tensed up a little, "it's really scary." It sounded a little bit like rabies to him, but much much worse, he didn't know if there was a cure for rabies yet or not. "I hope they find a cure."</div>

"Does it? Hmm. " Dropping a bit more milk in her tea, Ania tested it out. It was good. She wondered why she hadn't done this before, and took a larger mouthful. Mixing the last of the milky tea and sugar, Ania drained her cup and sat up fully. "Yes, I think I'll be alright for a while. And if I get tired, I can always eat a fistful of sugar.

Ania agreed quietly, it would be very, very scary to get it. Well, she supposed it would be more scary for other people. And for her, if the infected brain had a coherent thought left. "I hope they find a cure, too. It would be awful to ... Put all those poor people down." She hated thinking of innocent strangers dying needlessly. They all had families, dreams, hopes... It would be awful if they caught something they couldn't prevent. "I don't want to think about it anymore. It's too sad for me. I'll go clean up if you want to go nap now."

<div align=center>William smiled warmly, "I told you!" He chirped, "it's comforting." He stated, he liked milk, whether it was in tea or not. If ever offered a drink, he'd either pick tea or milk. "If you're sure." He pushed himself up from the table and stretched his arms above his head, a small yawn escaping him. "I'll only be an hour or so, if you don't mind..." He told her, stacking the empty bowls on the table and collecting the mugs together. He shuffled off a moment later to look for a bed, there was a couple of ones that weren't occupied, and William sat himself down on the closest.

He shook his head, he didn't want to think about it anymore either, they didn't deserve to be killed, they hadn't asked to be given that terrible disease. Bill sighed, they'd be okay, he was desperate for them to be okay. They were working on a cure, weren't they? They'd find one in the end, and no one would have to die. He pushed the thoughts away from his head, shaking it vigorously. He didn't like thinking about sad things as much as she did, he got upset terribly easily, and then it was hard to calm him down again. He curled up on the mattress, and tugged the covers over himself. He hoped it wouldn't take all that long for him to fall asleep, he was feeling drained.</div>

It would be nice to be alone for a little bit anyway. Taking a minute to tidy up their area, Ania shuffled around trying to put things back in what she assumed was their proper spot. William didn't like when things weren't organised, right? She didn't want to cause him any trouble. Finished, Ania stood back and looked around for her partner. He seemed to be happy, curled up in a bed. Hopefully he would be able to sleep well enough. "Sleep well!"

Wandering over to where the patients sat, Ania dragged a chair over to a small group that were awake. She asked them simple questions, like where they came from or what their families were like. She hoped that asking them about happier things would take their minds off their internal struggles. She felt for these people, she couldn't help them like they needed, but all she could do was talk to them and try to make a friend. Her thoughts wandered back to William and how he was getting on.

<div align=center>"Thank you." Bill answered softly, settling himself down and snuggling into the blankets. They were a little scratchy, but he didn't mind too much, they were warm enough for him to fall asleep underneath. It took far less time than he'd thought it might, he didn't even remember falling asleep, he didn't dream for once, which he was thankful for, William's dreams tended to be just a tad unnerving, some were worse than others, and some didn't make any sense whatsoever, he didn't mind those ones, at least those ones weren't scary, they were just a little bit confusing.

He slept for the best of two hours, which was a relatively short time for him, he took naps frequently and tended to waste a lot of time asleep. He just got so tired so quickly, either that or he got bored and fell asleep against his will, that had already happened several times this week, it had been the healing that had worn him out this time, which was understandable, the wound had been large, he desperately hoped that poor woman would live, she'd be scarred forever, but Bill would rather be horribly scarred than dead, he thought, at least you could cover scars up for the most part.</div>
