"You thought wrong." He responded to her joke seriously. He knew she was joking, but he didn't show it.
Rae blinked. "Um, okay. If you say so." She peered around the curve, and seeing no one was there, kept walking.
Corona nearly tripped at one point and stumbled before regaining his balance. He had been in Guardian Form for too long, and he was starting to get tired. He had no choice but to force himself to stay awake, or he knew it could end very badly for him and Rae.
Rae looked at Corona as he tripped and asked, "What's Paul doing? He get bored with us and say you could stay like this forever?"
"He hasn't said anything in a while. I think he's sleeping." Which may be a good thing. Guardian Form tires the mind more than the body, if Paul slept long enough to restore his energy, Corona might be able to shift back and give control back to him without fainting. Unfortunately Paul wouldn't have Corona's help if a fight broke out.
At the word 'sleepin', Rae yawned. "I envy him..." she muttered as they kept walking. "What time would you guess it is?"
Corona looked up in thought. "Seven hours, forty-two minutes, 36 seconds, 29 nano-seconds. The sun is setting.." He sighed.
