"Gone? Gone where?" Didn't climbing up and down the tree like that hurt her arm? She really needed to rest more.
"I don't know...." She jumped the last five feet to the ground and faced Paul. "She just left." She frowned. "Why does it matter so much to you anyway?"
"Uh... she never said bye? You never said bye? She just short of left without reason? You really expect me not to wonder about it?" He shrugged. Did Moe really leave? And she still had her memory of Moe? He was pretty sure last time Moe left, Rae had no recollection of ever seeing her. Corona was really going to get it if Rae remembered everything.
"No. No. Yes. And I really don't give a care." She spun away from him and began walking up the mountain again.
"Hey.. where are you going? You aren't concerned about Moe suddenly leaving? You're sure she is okay?" He started to run after her, but tripped on a branch and fell forward. But to his surprise, he - by complete instinct and through no will of his own - extended his arms and successfully performed a flip, landing right back on his feet with perfect balance. He spun around in shock. Did he really just do that?
Rae had turned around in time to watch all this, and gapped. How in the world did he just do that? She wondered. Seeing he was okay, she began walking again. Then she answered his questions. "I don't know where I'm going. No, I'm not concerned. She does this sometimes. And yeah, she's okay." She paused. "Moe's always okay."
"Uhh..oh." He didn't truly hear what she said - though he understood it for the most - as he was too concerned about how he just instantly recovered from tripping like that. He asked Corona but all he got was a chuckle out of him. Corona was never very helpful for things like this.
Rae looked over at him, a frown etched on her face. "You okay? Did that fall injure your brain somehow?" She wished she could take the words back as soon as they left her mouth.
"....No."He turned to her finally. "I'm fine. But.. did you see that? Did I really just do what I think I just did?"
