Rae swallowed and glared. "You better fix this and stop laughing or you'll be carrying me all the way back to the school," she threatened.

Rae muffled the gasp that threatened to escape her mouth when she felt a sudden jult of pain as the feeling came back into her arm. She pulled out of his arms and stood. Once she had her footing and stopped swaying, she again glared at Paul. "You're cruel. Very cruel."

"Go for it, Oh Great One," She muttered, forcing herself to relax. Rae closed her eyes, no wanting to watch the sword come toward her head again.

Rae opened her eyes and smiled. "Good. I can hardly feel anything." She tried to see if she could move her arm, but couldn't. Oh well.

He sheathed his sword and walked over to inspect her arm. "The bleeding has nearly stopped, too. You should be fine. When we get to the hospital wing we can have the nurse take a look at it." He stopped talking for a few seconds, but then seemed to remember something. "Tell me, rae. Just who were those people that were after you?"
