"Cause I screwed up.." He began laughing pretty hard. "Hmm.. Guess I shoulda not thrust it in so much.. hahaha.."
Rae swallowed and glared. "You better fix this and stop laughing or you'll be carrying me all the way back to the school," she threatened.
"Okay okay calm down." As soon as he said that all feeling came back into her arm and leg again, including the pain in her arm. It was as if he had never done that. "Maybe I should hit the part of your mind that controls your mouth, though."
BAM!
BAM!
Rae muffled the gasp that threatened to escape her mouth when she felt a sudden jult of pain as the feeling came back into her arm. She pulled out of his arms and stood. Once she had her footing and stopped swaying, she again glared at Paul. "You're cruel. Very cruel."
"One more try?" He held his sword up again. "I should get it right this time. Just be sure to relax, if you flinch or try to resist it won't do as much damage.. and it might only half-paralyze your arm...
"Go for it, Oh Great One," She muttered, forcing herself to relax. Rae closed her eyes, no wanting to watch the sword come toward her head again.
He swung the sword again and this time got it right, for the most part. Her arm became mostly numb, and nearly all the pain disappeared. The was only a slight bit of pain, but she still had a slight amount of feeling left in her arm, too. "How did I do this time?"
Rae opened her eyes and smiled. "Good. I can hardly feel anything." She tried to see if she could move her arm, but couldn't. Oh well.
He sheathed his sword and walked over to inspect her arm. "The bleeding has nearly stopped, too. You should be fine. When we get to the hospital wing we can have the nurse take a look at it." He stopped talking for a few seconds, but then seemed to remember something. "Tell me, rae. Just who were those people that were after you?"
