Where the axe had hit the ground was a large hole. It would easily slice any human in two.The creature, luckily, seemed quite slow. He knew that while it was possible to outrun it in short distances, in the long run it would catch up to them due to the fact that it would never tire. Corona knew he would have to transform to take it out. If he could distract it then maybe Rae could cut off its arm. Then again.. did it need its tail to balance itself? Hmm..
Corona held out his sword in front of him. Taking the pointer and middle fingers of his left hand, he ran them across the blade. This caused the sword to glow brightly. He tossed the sword up into the air. The sword spun in many directions, taking the attention of the creature. It suddenly stopped, then blade pointing downwards at Corona. It was then a bright white light exploded from it and shot down in a pillar at Corona. Soon the sword had become a giant white cross, transferring incredible amounts of spiritual energy into Paul's body.
White wings sprouted from his back. The light (along with the sword) vanished, leaving an angelic-looking Paul standing on the ground. The same figure Rae saw the other night from the cave. "It looks like its time to get serious." He turned to Rae. "Here's what we do. I distract the thing, and you try to cut off its tail. I'm assuming it needs that to balance its gigantic weight. Without it, it should fall. So be careful."
Corona would have no choice but to be the distraction, for the holy energy he emitted caused the creature into a frenzy.
