Rae realized that they were indeed almost out of the city and instantly relaxed. No one would jump them, she realized with a slight smile. And if they did, she had a 'big strong MAN' to keep her safe.

A few of the lights at the end of the street flickered at the same time, followed by some lights in the buildings. Paul turned around when he noticed this, and gave it a questioning look, but otherwise didn't pay much mind.
Just then two men dressed in all black jused out from behind a building, knifes possed up in a defensive way. Rae grabbed Paul's arm and sad through clenched teeth, "Get rid of this peace aura thing or I'll hurt you...." She did this while pulling her sword ot of its sheath.
It disappeared before she even asked. The two men scared him enough that he didn't concentrate on keeping it active.
"W-who are these guys? What do they want?"

I thought he was a 'big strong man'. Well, if he is he's a big baby on top of that.... Rae rolled her eyes and waited for the inevitable "Give me your money" line before she reached her sword out and quickly cut and pulled the men's belts off. Their pants slipped down around their ankles, showing black boxers.
Rae glared at both. "Wish to die today?" She asked in a deadly calm voice.
They shook their heads. Rae looked at Paul. "Think I should kill 'um?"

He was quite surprised with how she handled the situation. It looked like he wouldn't need to unsheath his sword. "Um..what!? No.. don't kill them.." He put himself in front of her. "Get out of here. Your actions only make the world worse. I suggest you give up your ways.. unless you want her to get angry.." A bit of fear sparked in his voice when he referred to Rae.. he definitely didn't want to make her mad. How scary that would be..
"I'm already angry..." She muttered but grinned since the men couldn't see her around Paul.

"huh.." He blinked and turned to Rae. "You can handle yourself quite well, can't you? Why are you afraid of being in the city at night when you can do stuff like that?"
Isn't it typically frowned upon in human society for a female to rescue a male in situations like this?

Rae sheathed her sword and shrugged. "Because when it happens to you when you don't have a sword and you almost day, the fear never goes away." She looked away. "Answer your questions?"
"Um... yeah..." He wasn't entirely sure how to respond. He quickly thought of a way to change the subject. "Um.. hey.. let's go.. we're right at the edge of town. We still got a ways to walk back to the school."
