Rae tried not to smile at his politeness, but couldn't help the tugging at the corners of her mouth. "Uh, thanks." She stepped through the door and immediately used her left hand to give them light in the darkened street.

He closed the door behind him and moved beside her. "Don't use your light.. it takes too much of your energy. You'll faint like last time..." How annoying it would be to have to carry her back in the dark because she used her light for too long. There were street lights anyways..
Rae immediately turned the light off on her hand. She stuffed both hands in her pockets and looked around.
He expected a response from her, but realized she wasn't about to say anything. "Is something wrong? You're acting kinda strange."
He crossed his arms and looked at her jokingly when she looked down the ally. "Are you thinking about taking me down the alley to rough me up and steal my wallet?"
Rae frowned. "No, not at the moment. But if you keep staring at me I might...." She nervously kept glancing around them.
He blinked and lowered his arms. "Staring? I wasn't staring at you. You must of just assumed.. cause you aren't really paying attention to me. You're looking around at everything else." He poked her arm. "Are you afraid of being in the city at night?
Rae glared. "No! Of course not!" She crossed her arms and stiffened. But of course she was. Ever since that one incident....
"Oh... hm.. why won't you admit it? It's painfully obvious.. especially after denying it like that." He laughed a little then shrugged. "There isn't anything to be afraid of. You have a big strong MAN with you! Nothing will get you!"
