"You know.. the longer you take your sweet time to look around at all the scary shadow-monsters, the longer it's gonna take to get out of the city. How are you afraid of dark alleys but not the wilderness? There are monsters and stuff outside, you know.."
"But not likely humans lurking behind every shadow." She glared at him. He'd obviously not had someone jump him in a dark alley before. After it happens once, you're paranoid for life. Unfortunately.
He turned his peace aura on, making everything around him seem a bit more peaceful. It wouldn't help very much due to how weak it was, but he figured he might as well try it.
Almost immediately Rae became almost completely peaceful. She felt the change in her and turned her gaze to Paul. "What're you doing to me?" She questioned.
"Hrm?" He looked at her and shrugged. "It must be my peace aura you're feeling. It channels my spiritual energy around me to open your mind to be more optimistic."
"Well I...love it." he had wanted to say 'hate', but it was as if she was forcefully kept from doing so. "Undo this please, I don't enjoy it."
"I'd rather be afraid and aware, than peaceful," she answered, her voice calm. She looked at him with as pleading eyes as she could force them to be.
"You're actually less aware if you're nervous. If you give it a bit of time, you'll realize your cautiousness is still there. You're just not all freaked out. We're almost out of the city anyways. It doesn't matter.."
