Rae bowed her head, feeling bad about that. "No, I'm not going to try and kill you, I swear. You have plenty of times to do so while I was in the cave, yet you didn''t. So I shall return the favor."
Return the favor, huh? That line made him feel like she only wasn't going to kill him because he didn't kill her. Did she still have ill feelings toward him? Corona pointed out that it could possibly be a misunderstanding. And Paul agreed with him simply to make himself feel better.
"Uh..okay, well, I trust you. Let's get going then, time isn't exactly a non-issue."
"I honestly don't know. Probably not too far. I've walked from the school to these mountains in a couple hours.. but I don't know how far into the mountains we are."
Rae nodded and didn't reply back. A few hours. She could do that. And with the sun being out at least part--if not all--of the time they were walking, by the time they got back to the school she should be completely well.
"How are you feeling? Be sure to tell me if you feel like you can't continue." Paul didn't have any way of knowing that the sun fueled her energy. He unsheathed her sword and examined the blade as he walked, complimenting on its workmanship.
Rae curiously watched him examine her sword, trying not to say anything. But finally she couldn't help asking, "What, pray tell, are you doing? Trying to see if you can see yourself?"
"Oh..I'm sorry, I hope you don't mind.. I just like swords, is all." He fully unsheathed the sword and swung it around a few times. While he obviously didn't have much training, he certainly knew the basics quite well.
