Rae thought a moment but couldn't come up with anything. Just forget it." She closed her eyes as a wave of muscle cramps swept over her whole body. Thankfully she didn't go into a ceasure though.
He looked at her, concerned. He wasn't really sure what to do. Corona said that her condition would hopefully not last long and she would be able to move soon. That didn't really make Paul feel any better about the situation, however.
The cramps finally subsided and left Rae more weary than she had been, if that was possible. She moaned and whispered, "I'm gonna take a nap..." before falling asleep.
"Hopefully when she wakes up, she'll be fully recovered."
Even if she is, you're still probably spending another night here.
Paul knew that he was right. Even if she wakes up before the sun is down, they probably wouldn't make it back to the school before darkness. He felt lucky that it wasn't winter, or they probably would have froze out here.
Hours later Rae woke up and felt almost perfect. She slowly sat up and looked around. She saw her sword and tried lifting it, but she hadn't regained all her strength back quite yet so she could only lift a few inches off the ground before dropping it back down. She flexed her fingers and looked up.
Rae smiled softly and took some, popping a few into her mouth. She had forgotten that she was supposed to be mad at him because he had left the cave during the night and she had had to go serching for him. She had also forgotten about the figure she had seen the night before.
After swallowing she asked, "What kind of berries are these?"
"I honestly don't know. But they aren't poisonous or anything. I've been eating them since yesterday after all. So I'm sure that they are safe. Are you feeling a lot better? Can you stand?"
"Yes, and I suppose I might as well try. I know that my arms can't hold up the sword, but that doesn't mean my legs aren't strong." Rae planted a hand on either side of her on the ground, pushed herself up before she pulled her legs under her. She then put both hands against the wall before pushing herself up to a standing position.
He readied himself in case she were to fall, though seemed quite relieved that she could stand. "Good, that makes things a lot easier." He stood up with her and stretched. "How much time do you think is left until sundown..."
