Private Finished Sibling Bonding Time

Jacob's emotional distress drew her away from the anime to place her full attention on her big brother. "Jacob," she whispered, her chin twitching a little--a sign that he would know meant she was close to crying herself. Her thumbs gently swiped his tears from his cheeks as he cried.

Alison knew that Jacob wanted to be the one to protect her, but he was so sweet and kindhearted that people had found it easy in the past to take advantage of him. She didn't want him to be hurt like that again--she wanted that kind flame inside of him to keep on going. Were it to ever extinguish, she wouldn't know what to do with herself.

"My big brother Jacob," she murmured, squeezing him close. "I'll be here too, through thick and thin. I'm not going anywhere even if you frustrate me sometimes, because I love you." She closed her eyes for a moment, resting her ear on his chest, right over his heart. She loved to hear his heart beat every once in a while. It was a startling yet warm reminder of how much her brother meant to her.

Were Alison a cat, she would've been purring with all the attention she was being given right now. She nuzzled Jacob's chest and got cozy, not planning on letting him go anytime soon, especially since she could feel how happy he was just holding her and having her close.

She kept her arms around him and looked towards the anime as well. A warm grin appeared on her face when he made his own promise. "I believe you; I'm counting on you, big bro," she whispered, gently rubbing his side. "We'll keep an eye out for each other, keep one another safe. There's no way I'd let you think I wasn't going to come for you if you needed me," as suggestive as that sounded.

Alison's cheeks were tinged with pink from all the kisses to her head and forehead. She reached and pressed her lips into her big brother's cheek, a sweet little kiss before she pulled back and smiled at him. "You're my big brother; I'm always here for you, Jacob."

Her eyes flickered back to the anime, watching as the vampire siblings settled into bed and hugged each other before the screen faded to the ending song. "The episode's over," she murmured. Her heart drooped a little as she hoped this didn't mean the night was over already. "Do you want to watch something else?"

Alison grinned and hugged him tight around the middle. "Good! You're not gonna get any rest tonight, big brother; we've got whole bookshelves of anime to watch." She pulled away and jumped to go take out the DVD to put back in its box. "So, any preferences, or should we pick random again?"

She took the pile of DVDs they'd picked from earlier and went back over to Jacob to have him do another blind pick. The siblings would spend the rest of the night watching Alison's animes, Jacob continuing to tease and gross his sister out while she tried to enjoy her food and the show she put on.

...That was until Alison got fed up and started beating her brother with his own pillow.
