Showing The New Kid Around

"You don't have spray paint from where you're from? Your people have been missing out!"

With a grin, she hopped down from the ledge, onto the roof of the school. Fishing into her pocket, she pulled out the can she had been using earlier and gave it a quick shake, before tossing it over to him.

"Give it a try! Just aim the hole away from you and press the button at the top."

She stood back to give him a little bit of space, gesturing to the roof around them, giggling to herself.

"Go ahead and leave your mark. Let your inner artist fly free~"

"Yeah, there's some like, craaaazy cool art people can make if you give 'em a bunch of different colours and stuff."

She squatted down next to the face, looking it over approvingly, before turning back to him and mimicking the expression he'd drawn, growling a little like a tiny dragon.

"Hmm, I already got different coloured hair. All I need are the fangs and I can be an honorary dragon too!"

She cackled to herself, before hopping back up.

"But, eh. It ain't really about making it look all pretty and stuff. You can do that if you want, but it's really more about leaving your own little mark, y'know?"

She crossed her hands behind her and leaned forward, smirking.

"Well, unless you're trying to stick it to the man, that's also a good reason."

"Ooh! Guess now I'll be prepared once I start breathing fire!"

She laughed, before hopping over to join him on the ledge. She sat down on the edge, letting her legs dangle off the building.

"Naaaaah. I don't think I'm revolution starting material. I'm just out here tryna' have fun." She explained, leaning back, propping herself up with her hands while she looked up towards the cloudy sky. "And sometimes drawing over someone's fancy school can be pretty fun."

Her usual carefree expression was interrupted by a small frown as she thought about it for a moment.

"It's not that bad, I guess. But it's still pretty fuckin' weird. Especially if your, y'know, not a dragon or a wizard or some other magic shit. Pretty much everything here was new to me when I first arrived."

“Nine hundred!?” Evie’s head snapped back to face him, eyes wide, eyebrows both raised. She put aside the culture shock discussion for the moment as she stared in disbelief. “What kinda manwhore is your dad if he’s off having nine hundred kids!? Is that a dragon thing? Do they like lay a whole batch of eggs like fishes or something?”

"Jeez, I guess dragons are the goddamn rabbits of the magic world. They must be fuckin' all day every day. What the hell."

Evie hopped up from her little perch, stepping both feet on the edge of the roof. She began to walk along it, one foot in front of the other, hands out to the side like a tightrope walker, even though it was obvious she wasn't struggling to balance at all.

"How'd you end up here then? Tryna get away from the roman orgy that your family life apparently is?" She glanced over her shoulder, the usual joking smirk on her face.
