Ava smirked triumphantly when she succeeded in throwing Kalvin, though the guy was able to stick the landing and actually land on his feet. Ava clicked her tongue a bit in frustration, but mostly was feeling satisfied with how she hadn't taken any hits and Kalvin had already taken two.
"I'm barely getting warmed up, don't sing my praises yet."
Ava said slightly arrogantly, she was a prideful creature, after all.
Kalvin was probably thinking as they spoke, trying to figure out how to gain the upper hand. Ava was counting on some creative strategies, Kalvin better not disappoint her.
"Princess? Oh, you got some nerve..."
Ava said slowly and her smirk turned a bit murderous. No one, not even Titus or Eein, called her anything like that and the name pissed Ava off. Kalvin was up for an ass beating of his life.
But though Ava was pissed now she didn't allow the anger to blind her. She had trained for this, it was one of her greatest weaknesses. Ava's reasoning weakened when she was angry and Ava was a little bit angry all the time.
"You want to see, huh? I'll show you, then."
Ava shifted her weight to the balls of her feet and bounced a little from side to side, her arms and shoulders loose and torso bit lowered. Her rhythm was irregular, hard to read. And following that pattern of remaining hard to read Ava dashed forward, skipping from side to side, not allowing any of her intent show in her movements.
Kind of like a wild beast, hunting its prey.
What Ava would try to do was get close, do a feint crouch and instead of attacking from below Ava would dash to the side and aim a swift and heavy kick to the side of Kalvin's knee. Ava was trying to make Kalvin buckle, so she could get a hold from around his neck with her arm and force him to kneel.
