Shopping for Company

He had finally completed his shopping run for Happy Tails, he had to run around the city so many times just to get the best price on all of the best quality foods and items required to run his shop, it is his hope that he will one day figure out a more efficient path to all of the places, he would hopefully grow and hire someone to do this for him, giving him more time to focus on Kaori.

"Until next time" His voice loud to make sure it reached the manager as Tatsuo stepped outside. Once the door closed behind him he put his shopping list in his pants. He lowered the head slight mumbling, he counted on his fingers the amount of sacks of dog foods, toys and all of the other stuff and then how many pets he would need to sell in order to even out, after all he was new around here. Then suddenly he bumped into someone "Oh, I am sorry, I wasn't looking" he said apoplectic before he would continue down the street. Anyone who would know him from school would know that he doesn't ask for forgiveness, he would usually do something like hitting a geek and making them say they are sorry for making his hand hurt. Who was the real Tatsuo, would anyone ever find out?

Shit, what was she doing there, she wasn't supposed to be there. Really he should have have expected a run in with someone from school, actually he should have expected many encounters but he just wasn't ready. He was hoping to not run into someone while ordering supplies at least in the first month before finding out how much of a profit his shop would net so that he could find out if he could hire someone to do the shopping for him and avoid such situations.

Now, how would Tatsuo salvage the situation, he couldn't bear the thought of Kaori finding out that it was all just an act for her sake and things like these tend to spread like wildflower "Uh, watch where you are going!" the words, quite transparent since he had already said he was sorry. His act needed to continue and decided to push her, though he didn't have the heart to harm her so it was more of a gentle push that looked way worse then what it was.

"No!" He whispered, he didn't want to hurt anyone, well he wanted to beat up his ancestor but that was a different story entirely. He just didn't hit girls, despite his act he was actually a good guy, the push was the worst he had done to a girl physically. He reached out his hand to help her up "Busted, huh?", the words still somewhat quiet.

He could go on and lie, telling her the opposite of how it really was, saying things like how he acts nice for those he get supplies from but since he sincerely thought he was busted he may as well say something. "Mind going somewhere isolated, it is a sensitive subject" Great, now he sounded like a creep, well hopefully his sincerity would come through her.

"There is an alley just around the corner. I am sure people will hear you if you scream". Yes, she had listened to his request, then maybe just maybe, things weren't ruined. Still, he had to brace himself because it was hard for him to tell about and even explain about what it was that he had hold secret for so long, so very long.

How should he start when he had lived this lie for years, as he pondered he leaned back against the wall in the alley. "The short of it is that I want to help a friend." This alone would not help his case, he wouldn't be convinced either with just that one line. He took a deep breath in preparation of blurting it all out "My ancestor tricked a Kitsune into servitude bonded by blood and twisted her natural powers so that she could be their personal genie. For each tail there is a wish but for each tail grown she looses part of herself. For her to not suffer with me as I try to find a way out I play the bad guy.".

It wasn't as easy as how she described it to be, he had tried in places he knew no one would recognize him from school. Mostly it where when someone called him about an abused animal or otherwise in a bad shape. Whenever someone did have a power, they either didn't want to help or their powers was not up to the challenge. "You don't think I have tried?" His voice somewhat angry with a hint of sadness, but oh he had tried it all.

"I assume the bad guy role for her benefit, it both sounds and is wrong but she wont have to suffer with me" What more could he tell her, he didn't know "Come to Happy Tails, Kaori will be there but if you tell anyone what we have just discussed, text it or in any other way make it so that anyone will know, I will make you my prime target and actually hurt you."

"I didn't give up my humanity for my benefit" He mumbled, implying that he was once a human but not any more, as he stepped away from the wall and started to walk away.
