==> Tucker
@"Paradox"

Tucker was cleaning the blade of a broken katana, peering at his dulled reflection on the side of the blade, when the last of his students left through the door. He glanced for a moment at the small pouch next to him, which was filled with the other pieces of the blade that was only recently shattered. As much as Tucker enjoyed teaching his class and demonstrating the processes, there was some regrets about letting a good blade go to waste.

It was in no way an original but the students didn't have to know that, of course. But it was a good copy nonetheless and it was really a bit of a waste to let it get destroyed. Tucker sheathed what was left of the blade before collecting the rest of his things that were on the table, making sure that the pouch was with him so he could repair the blade later. He secured both swords he'd brought to his side and left the room without any other thought.

First thing he would probably do as soon as he got home was to repair the blade, he thought. The sooner, the better.

The hallways were pretty busy, seeing as the previous classes have just ended. Adelene just finished her Physics class, and was on her way to the cafeteria to take a break. With her sling bag on her shoulder and books in her arms, she glided through these hallways, while her eyes darted around merely to observe. She avoided interaction, but she wouldn't deny it, she found most people interesting.

Just then, her eyes caught the magic studies teacher's form walking out from one of the empty classrooms. She momentarily halted, seeing that he was holding a weapon. A katana. And she was awestruck. But then she quickly bolted towards him.

"Mr. Watanabe!" She shouted without much thought, and caught up quickly after that. Once done, she walked beside him, keeping up with his strides and keeping a smile on. "Sir, is that real?" she pointed towards the sheathed blades. Her eyes were wide, pupils dilated. She clearly wanted to know more about the katana. "You stand out because of those blades, Sir. I can't help but notice, since I have a thing for weapons."

A thing, right. Specifically, she wanted to all weapons to be added to her collection. So much for trying to avoid interaction.

Tucker's pace slowed as he heard his named called out from across the hall, his gaze turning to look towards the source. It didn't take that long for Adelene to catch up and greet him (or rather, ask him about the blades he had on him.) He could see the enthusiasm in her eyes and it almost made him laugh. He found that sort of interest something to be happy about.

"Ah, do I now? I suppose carrying weapons out in the open like this is a bit out of place but it's not like I can put them out of sight too easily," he replied with a chuckle. If he could do that, he would have done it. It was true he could but that took a little too much effort to summon a weapon and he wasn't made for that sort of magic. "They're as real as they are visible to your eyes."

Tucker shifted the books in his hands to one side so it was easy for him to draw out the sword if she asked. Obviously, it was a deadly weapon, he wasn't going to draw it out readily. "So you have a thing for weapons, do you? Girls like you don't come too often, you know. Do you prefer blades or ranged weapons?"

She wanted to touch them, she wanted to try holding those swords she's never held before. Her boss at work doesn't make katana, and even if he does, she wasn't allowed to touch the weapons anyway, so this was technically her first time being so close to this beautiful blade.

"I'm more into guns, honestly, Sir. But that's only because I haven't encountered many long blades before."

She walked beside the teacher, a step behind. Mr. Watanabe looked so cool with those swords, he only needed a kimono to look like a Samurai. Adelene chuckled quietly at the thought. "Sir, is it possible for me to touch them? Or maybe if you could just... uh, unsheath one? Oh, can I hold your books for you? I'm not carrying too many things," she grinned.

"Hm, I see! I have a quite a collection of these myself but I prefer keeping most out of harms way," Tucker said followed by a soft chuckle. Tucker wasn't as surprised, these days, the popular weapons were guns. Swordsmiths didn't come around as often now and if there were, well. Let's say not a lot of people would go to lengths to have a blade forged for personal use.

Tucker turned his head towards Adelene, "I see no problem in that but I think it would be best if we leave for the courtyard for now. It's a little too dangerous to draw a blade with a crowd like this." There wasn't too much students around now, but Tucker wasn't too keen about drawing a sword out in the middle of the hallway. Though her enthusiasm made him chuckle, "If I'm not mistaken, you're a student from the Physics department?"

It was a difficult task for Adelene to stop herself from jumping from excitement, but she managed. She couldn't stop her excited giggles though, and a quiet cheerful "YES!"

She couldn't wait to get to the courtyard then. If things go well, this will be the first time she'll get to hold a katana ever! The thought was thrilling, and she cannot wait to add the katana to the weapons she'll be able to summon with her powers. And to think Mr. Tucker Watanabe had a collection of it! She was, in a way, jealous.

However, that mood faded as she looked up at the teacher curiously. Her cheeks were a slight shade of pink as she tilted her head slightly to the side. "I... I am, sir. Physics, yeah. How'd you know?" It was always a little shocking to her when she figures out that some teachers notice her. How they manage to do it, it's a real mystery to her. Tucker wasn't even one of her teachers in her classes.

It wasn't hard for Tucker to pick up on Adelene's excitement but it wasn't that often he'd run into weapon enthusiast on this level. No, most of them were composed despite their enthusiasm (much like himself). Either that or they had the dangerous glint in their eyes; people that Tucker would rather steer clear away from. Adelene, on the other hand, was a like a breath of fresh air.

"I suppose there are some times I look over the school registry," Tucker told her honestly. " I just happen to have quite a photographic memory to recognize you from the list. Though I haven't really caught your name, there," he added, looking at Adelene, expecting a response. To be perfectly honest, Tucker wasn't the kind who'd really look into student records that far. Even if one of them interests him in particular, he'd probably look at general details like school performances both in regular classes and magic, but other than that, nothing. And right now, Tucker was just mainly concerned about the class he was handling.

"So, if I may ask, I'm a bit curious why you're interested in weapons," he mused aloud as they exited the building.

Photographic memory was something Adelene would feel jealous for. Adelene mouthed a little understanding 'ohh' and nodded. "Name's Adelene Cross, sir."

Similarly, Adelene found it rare to find people wearing swords on their waists nowadays. It was such a beautiful view, she considered weapons beauty, yes, and maybe it was also because Mr. Watanabe looked so cool with them. It fit him, despite the modern era. Adelene wanted the swords to be on her waist, too.

They reached the courtyard shortly. There were a couple of people here and there, but nonetheless the open space was enough for drawing long weapons. Adelene clapped her hands in excitement, before looking up when Tucker asked his question.

"My whole life is all about weapons, sir. They're related to my power, so I can't help but want to be acquainted with all of them," she answered. They were walking for a couple of seconds more. And then she let out a gasp, covering her mouth as she gave the teacher an apologetic look. "Mr. Watanabe, I'm so sorry I haven't realized I'm taking too much time! You're probably busy..."

"Glad to finally meet you then, Miss Cross," Tucker nodded. Truth be told, Tucker was never really quite the sociable type so he always did find it hard to make small talk. For the brief moment of looking for a good spot, he was mostly silent, if not looking at his own notes that was on top of the books he was holding.

When Adelene dared to mention something about to power, it somehow piqued Tucker's interest. There was a variety of powers that could have anything do to with weapons and he did grow a bit curious. "Related to your power now, is it?" he hummed, "I've met a few people who have magic affinity for weapon; each of them differ in a lot of ways. Might I ask what is yours?"

Tucker led her to an open corner of the courtyard where there were likely less people to randomly pass by — Tucker wouldn't want anyone to get startled by the sight of a weapon. He placed his books on a bench nearby before turning to Adelene.

"Mr. Watanabe, I'm so sorry I haven't realized I'm taking too much time! You're probably busy..."

Tucker laughed softly, placing a hand on the hilt of one of the katana (specifically the one that wasn't broken.) "Ah, don't worry about that; I've got some time to spare before I need to attend to things," he said turning to the side so he wasn't facing Adelene when he drew out the katana from its sheath. The afternoon sun made a glint shine on the blade. "I don't mind sparing a few minutes to interested students, you know."

Adelene slightly regretted mentioning her power, but it felt like she had needed to say it, because she didn't want to sound unreasonable while asking Mr. Watanabe a favor such as this. Fortunately, he seemed curious about it, but at the same time it also brought some kind of anxiety in her, because she wasn't that comfortable talking about it yet.

She dug her own grave on this one. It's a beautiful grave though.

"I... uh... can summon weapons after I learn of their nature and composition," she answered, softly and hesitantly. "I can only summon a few guns and short blades at the moment... oh, and a metal baseball bat, and... I want to try learning more about other weapons."

Mr. Watanabe put down his books on a bench and drew his sword carefully. Adelene stood beside him, watching intently and with such sparkling eyes, and as the sun brought a beautiful glint on the blade, she instantly fell for it. "S-So that's a katana..." she mumbled, before stepping closer, not even being mindful about the blade possibly hurting her. She was giving it a good awestruck stare. "This is beautiful... Mr. Watanabe, this sword is beautiful! It's a little damaged, isn't it? But... who cares, it's wonderful." She looked the teacher in the eyes, pleading to him with her own as she asked, "C-Can I hold it..?"
