Great. The voices in his head were telling him to kill the to kill the annoying woman and go get something to eat for an hour now, and it was really starting to get to him. He could feel his hands twitching as the need to smack himself on the head grew stronger and stronger.

And he wasn't even crazy. No, he wished it was that easy.

...and since you've already signed up for everything you can start your courses tomorrow. she finished, fixing her small read glasses that just screamed that she was either a teacher or a desk worker and really did nothing for her face in Magena's opinion, looking at him as if she was expecting him to do something.

Ah, yes, uh, thank you? he said, utterly confused as he was trying to silence some of the Garric more violent thoughts the whole time she was talking.

Your signature, Mr. Wolf? she asked, raising an eyebrow in his direction, which only started Magena talking again.

Uh, yes, sorry? he tried to silence his sister as he sighed his name on the piece of paper given to him. Usually she was about the only person in there who was calm and silent but for some reason, the fact that he was starting in the new 'school for the gifted' today got her excited-and thus, talking.

You may leave now, Mr. Wolf. the woman informed him, and he all but ran from the office.

You should have killed her. Garric informed him. She was annoying.
Weakling.

I want to eat roast today! Rayburn insisted yet again.

Hmpf. Of course you would. Lyre's voice was accompanied by a quiet note from the harp, which meant that Lysander was in for another day in bed.

I mean, really, red glasses?

You can still go back and take...MEAT...Hmpf...And then KILL HER! ROAST! Seriously, red? andanaiiaohd

Oh, for F*CK's sake will you SHUT UP already?! he yelled suddenly, his head starting to hurt from all that noise. Or I swear I'll think about nothing but calculus FOR A WEEK!

That got them silent. As well as the rest of the hallway.

Paperwork was nothing new to Jacob at this point in his career. One of the first things he learned when he finally got himself a real career, and was no longer being paid to be pretty and talk to women, was that paperwork made up at least forty percent of a career. A friend who was a police officer--and recently promoted to detective--told him as much. Jacob didn't believe him initially. Sure, a teacher had to do worksheets and tests and essays and such, but that was in minority compared to talking to the students and actually teaching. That didn't turn out to be case. He failed to acknowledge the heaps of forms and papers the school would load him down with when he first started, and whenever he requested to do pretty much anything.

It was tough and tedious, but it was just something he had to do. So he was in the Administrative offices turning this form and filling out that form and double checking if so-and-so received whatever he needed to turn in. At least the worst parts were over. Once this was all over with, he could just turn things in and get on with his actual job.

While he made copies of a test, Jacob overheard the tone of an office lady behind him. She sounded a little impatient with whomever she was dealing with at the counter. It was none of his business though. At least until he heard what sounded like running, followed by the sound of the office doors closing. Jacob collected his copies and left as well, passing the office lady.

"Did you say something wrong?"

The woman shrugged and they both went on their way.

Jacob shrugged as well and left into the hallway. That was where the fun began. He was just about to pass a rather lanky-looking young man when said young man burst out with an expletive and a warning regarding calculus to seemingly no one in particular. Jacob nearly dropped his papers and he raised an eyebrow at him.

"Well... I'm glad you're so enthusiastic about calculus, but it's not exactly a threat to most people. You alright?"

It is if said people are living inside his head! his sister berated as she remembered the last time he had gone good on his threat. She has never seen more math in her life and afterlife together, and she had lived with a Math professor as a father.

Shut up. he hissed at her. You have brought that one on yourself. he thought, trying not to look crazier than he already did, even though they could never quite decipher his thoughts, claiming that they were too confusing and vague. He never quite believed them when they said that. They lived in his head for Pete's sake!

Uh, yeah, I'm fine. he said, remembering that he wasn't alone in the hallway just as he wasn't alone in his head. And the people in his head he could ignore without seeming weird. Sorry about that, it's just that... he started trying to explain himself when another strong pain ran through his head like an arrow.

KILL HIM! Garrick roared and Lysander had to close his eyes for he suddenly felt as if they would explode. I can smell it even now, there is something in his blood... Kill him, it would be a feast! KILLHIMKILLHIMKILLHIMKILLHIM he demanded and Lysander coud feel the wolf blood he was usually denied access to rising in his throat. He tried pushing it back.

...there is a very angry werewolf inside my head demanding that I kill you and suppressing him is getting kind of hard. he said, sighing as Kisha's power washed over him, soothing his pain.

The young man's little reply of 'shut up' did not go unnoticed by Jacob. He thought it was a little rude, but he was willing to give Lysander a break because he just did not seem... all there. Even the retort did not seem aimed at Jacob specifically. Who exactly, then, the reply was for still eluded Jacob though. Maybe he had one of those tiny Bluetooth ear pieces and he was talking to someone over the phone and Jacob didn't know it? That was an awkward situation Jacob had found himself in on enough occasions for him to feel embarrassed about it.

Then the young man apologized for his actions, and Jacob immediately smiled back at it. That was polite and he could always appreciate some manners to balance out a little rudeness.

"No problem. You seem to be under a lot of stress, so--"

But then Jacob's smile faded in favor of a raised eyebrow when Lysander actually came out with an explanation for his behavior. Suffice it to say, it was a little out of left field. An angry werewolf. Was in his head. And it was telling him to kill. Normally that would have warranted a trip to the school nurse or something because most people would have said that Lysander was suffering from a serious case of schizophrenia. But given the current setting and circumstances, Jacob had to wonder if he was actually telling the truth. Somehow.

"So... Does this angry werewolf fellow tell you to kill often? Or is it just now for some reason? Because maybe we could go find a nice quiet place and settle down for a moment."

Garrick? he scoffed, the echoes of the man's scream still bouncing around his head. About every other minute actually, that idiot... he is...very...violent... Lysander blinked, realizing what he had just said as his mind became clear once more under the influence of Kisha's power.

I did not just say that out loud... he thought, praying that the last few minutes were some sort of a very vivid dream.

You did. Magena smirked, proving that they could understand his thoughts when they wanted to, and he could feel it in her voice that she thought that that's only what he deserved for threatening innocent people with calculus.

Aaaaah... he said, straightening his back, and rubbing the back of his neck as he smiled sheepishly at the man. Um. I know how this must seem, but I can assure you, I am not crazy. Well, at least not schizophrenic crazy. he said as Lyre played one more note inside his head. Yes, he was in for another day in bed, and soon at that. Possible tomorrow.

Great.

"Every minute... Wow, I can see how that can grate on one's nerves. Is he really telling you to kill?"

Jacob was remarkably nonchalant about the whole situation. Perhaps intrigued was a better word. The young man seemed well enough in control at the moment, and not about to go on a werewolf-induced killing spree, so Jacob felt he had nothing to fear for the time being. Besides, the boy was a little on the skinny side and, barring any kind of werewolf-related super strength or transformation, Jacob could probably defend himself if things got rough.

More importantly, it was a prime opportunity for Jacob to start acquainting himself with the out-of-the-ordinary students he would soon be teaching. Dealing with young men and women in this stage in their lives was something he could do; he had been teaching high school for years now. But the X-factor of all of them having powers a new one to him. Hopefully he could gradually work his tolerance up from schizophrenia/possession to thing like fireballs and laser eyes.

"Yes, you do seem very in control of your faculties. You're at least very articulate. I'm Mr. Cunningham by the way. New math teacher. And you have the honor of being one of the first students I've talked to since my arrival. Heh. I'm curious as to whether all the students here will be as interesting as you."

Uh, yeah. Frequently. And you have no idea... Lysander smiled with relief as the man spoke. He-Mr. Cunningham as he introduced himself-seemed to believe him, and for some reason, that made him feel as if some kind of weight has been lifted from his shoulders. And then he heard the word math and his eyes seemed to light up from inside.

I guess I shall be your student than. he said, the smile on his face brightening as he finally looked the man in the eyes. I'm Lysander Wolf, a Math Major. he said, offering his hand before he had the time to ask himself whether pupils should shake hands with their teachers, and by the time the question did pop up in his head a few seconds later it was too late to retreat without seeming rude. The thought that he did something wrong made him froze in the middle of what he was about to say next.

For the love of god, will you relax? Magena asked him, sighing in his head. Why are you always like that? It's not like he is going to eat you!

Eat! and that made Rayburn wake from his quiet slumber about roast with a loud yell. Are we finally going to get something to eat?

Yes! Garrick's annoying voice also came back from the hole in which he managed to push him to a few minutes before. Eat the teacher! Eat him! And of course with him, the pain came back as well.

Tilting his head backwards and massaging the bridge of his nose Lysander spoke again to seemingly no one in particular.

Calculus, Magena. he reminded his sister, after which she panicked, and tried to get two loud man to shut up.

He shook his head, cursing his fate before he looked up again.

I wouldn't know really. he said. I have just arrived myself. Do other students have six other people living in their heads as well?

"Well, I'm glad that you're able to resist his demands. You certainly have some willpower."

Their meeting had started off strangely enough, but it was quickly becoming a much more pleasant experience with every little bit they found out about each other. Having voices in one's head--of the supernatural variety no doubt--was no small hurdle to social acceptance, and Jacob imagined that it was difficult for the student to talk with people without scaring them away. So having a teacher so ready, willing, and eager to accept his little quirk must have been quite the boon. Seeing the young man smile made Jacob beam as well.

Jacob took Lysander's hand and gave it a hearty shake, possibly giving a clear answer to Jacob's stance on teacher-pupil relations.

"Ah ha! A numbers man. Good on you, Lysander. Though I take Mr. Werewolf isn't so fond of the subject, eh?"

That wasn't all that surprising all things considered. Math was a difficult subject for a lot of people, and Jacob assumed that werewolves were no different in that matter.

"Not to my knowledge. But... Six? You have six people in there? I assume they're not all werewolves, and 'Magena' sounds pretty feminine... What exactly is going on in there?"

At the moment, a mental equivalent of a food fight. he said, flinching, as yet another picture of him attacking his teacher popped up inside his head, the courtesy of Garrick learning that he didn't have to talk in order to torture Lysander. And Rayburn was also quick to pick up on the idea, which was strange, as he was usually as slow as a sleeping boar, and started bombarding him with pictures of various meat dishes.

In general, a lot of things... he said, releasing that maybe it wasn't so smart talking about this to random people that he has just met, but this....problem...was bothering him for more than a year now, and during that whole time, he had had no one but his sister to talk to about it, who was, unfortunately, also inside his head, and thus, a part of the problem.

There was this Halloween party about a year ago, and some chicks insisted to try summoning some ghost in the forest, and I was dragged into it. Somehow someway I woke up the next day with six more people sharing my head. Magena says it's because of my natural necromantic ability or whatever. I don't understand half of what she says sometimes.

That goes both ways, brother. the girl scoffed, finally giving up on the idea of calming either Garrick of Rayburn down and mentally preparing herself for a yet another week of nothing but calculus.

And that got him thinking about math again, lighting him up.

Yeah, you can say that. he smiled, thinking how doing math always calmed him down. And Garric doesn't understand half of it anyway, so it always comes to simply ignoring his requests to kill the teacher and go get something to eat, which in itself, isn't very hard. It's the headaches they give me that bother me.

"Ah, man... That sounds... hectic, to say the least. You have my sympathies."

The more Lysander talked about his little problem, the more Jacob felt a mix of curiosity and pity. Jacob had never had a bunch of other consciousnesses in his head before, but he had dealt with stress and being around a bunch of people that stressed him out to no end. There parallel there was a little weak, but it was the best comparison he could make that could give him any insight into Lysander's everyday. But Jacob also wondered, for example, how he ever got any sleep or if those other six were, possibly, able to use his body like a real possession.

Shifting the papers into one arm, Jacob listened intently to Lysander's recount of events that lead to him getting possessed. It sounded like there was plenty of history to the campus and the students that he needed to catch up on. Necromancy and a far-out Halloween party. It was but a small glimpse into what he could expect while working at the school.

"I hope you're able to keep resisting those requests. For my sake at least. *chuckle* Have you tried getting help from anyone about it? I haven't met most of the faculty yet, but maybe there's someone who can, I dunno, concoct a silencing spell or exorcism to help."
