For the briefest of moments Kaliyan's heart felt like it stopped. There he was holding Cam in his arms. Well.. arm. He down towards the other man and to be quite honest there was no embarrassed feeling for him. There was warmth and happiness and excitement and... well he probably wouldn't have been the one to break the moment if others had not acted.
Their moment of stunned silence was broken by two things that happened nearly simultaneously. First, Cam quickly stepped away from Kal and just from a brief look Kal could tell he was embarrassed. Second, across the room Skye had to stifle a tiny gasp and literally covered her face to keep from outright giggling at the scene. She stumbled back to her chair and tried to do her best not to interrupt too much further. Talk about a good show.
Kal finally glanced away from Cam, but only for a moment. Just long enough to look back at the stack of bins and casually push the last one properly into place before returning his focus to Cam. "Looks like everything is fine. How are you though? Do you need to sit down?" He asked, a fair amount of concern on his face.
But Cam seemed to be ok for the most part so Kal looked over at the perfect stacked bins on Cam's side. Clearly it had been close but Kal was the last one to put his bin in place so Cam had won. "Looks like I owe you a massage now Cam," he grinned "But I think maybe we should wait a little until things uh, calm down a bit." Kal never claimed to be the smartest man in a room, but he did have a pretty decent amount of common sense and the... tension was pretty high at the moment. Not the bad kind of tension, but not super helpful for relaxation.
Fortunately Skye had managed to stop her silliness and piped up. "Congratulations Cam! I think two could use some lemonade now," she said as she looked at her empty glass and the half-full one by Ernesto, "and refills for us. Maybe you two can relax outside while Kal and I go get the drinks?" There was a pointed look at Kal that was making it clear she wanted to say something to him in private. But the tone of her voice didn't make it sound serious. In fact she was practically beaming.
