Natasha frowned as a look of real irritation flashed in the vampire's eyes when Ezra mentioned Tadashi's sister's reaction again. It reminded her way too much of some of the cattier women at court - feigning indignation and outrage while hurling unfound accusations and acting all offended.

Behavior like that was selfish, hurtful, and childish in her mind. It does nothing to help the situation, only exacerbates it. If the girl had been so worried about her brother's welfare, she might have tried to further an encounter, reunite the two friends in some way, but she hadn't which made Natasha doubt her intentions. It sounded like she was trying to drive a wedge between the two friends, not defend her brother's feelings, and that made Natasha's Russian blood boil.

"I think your friend's sister, as much as she assures you otherwise, does not seem to have her brother's best interest at heart, Ezra. Think about it. Why did she not tell you where Tadashi was?" Natasha pointed out.

"I would have," she said. "If Tadashi was my brother, and I knew he cared for you, and was heartbroken at your departure, I would have tried to fix things," her Russian accent more apparent now that she was incensed.

"I do not know what Tadashi thinks, but I do know people, and you Ezra, and I know you'd not do anything malicious to hurt a friend. And I suspect Tadashi knows this too... I think he'd hear you out. He might be scared of you leaving him again, but if you explain why you left and that you would never hurt a friend, he will probably come around," Natasha said as she took out her phone.

"...I do not suspect Miss Shiro had ulterior motives in our discussion. I believe that her comments towards me were nothing more than a frustrated sibling unable to comfort her brother and chose instead to lash out at the thing causing her brother harm. Which," Ezra frowned once more, "is apparently my presence."

They continued to walk through the alleyways with the witch, still trying to process their thoughts and how to most logically approach the situation. What would they even say to Tadashi if they had the chance to meet face to face? It was hard to come up with an emotional speech when the very concept of emotions were complicated and foreign. Ezra would put their hand under their chin, a familiar position when in control of Salem. Something about this pose allowed them to focus more on the problem and how to solve it quickly. The obvious first step, though, was to actually find Tadashi.

"...You would not happen to speak feline, would you, Miss Natasha? I have been attempting to communicate with every feline that crosses my path but communication has been... lacking, in simple terms."

"No, I am afraid that I do not speak feline," Natasha remarked with an amused and slightly bemused smile and look on her face as she finished typing a message to her friend Zoraida about her grandfather's adoption.

"Although," Natasha said to Ezra just as her phone buzzed, notifying her that she had a message. "I might know where you can find Tadashi," she told him as she clicked open her screen and scanned the message quickly. It was from Zoraida, confirming that yes, Rafael had adopted three bakenekos - Tomomi, Shiro and Tadashi.

Ezra continued on with a small sigh, dejected at yet another dead end. This mission to find Tadashi was leading nowhere, and they desperately needed a clue to their friend's whereabouts. Anything would be a benefit, even Natasha knowing where Tadashi could be. Wait... Natasha might know where Tadashi could be? The Sho'lai stopped in their tracks and stared at the witch with an unblinking gaze.

"You know where Tadashi is? You will help me find him?" Ezra crossed their arms over their chest and began to breath in and out slowly. The first part had been completed, now all they needed was to actually talk to Tadashi and hopefully everything would be sorted out and Ezra could have their friend back. No more angry yells, no more belittling comments, no more hiding away. But before they met Tadashi, Ezra needed something. A gift of some kind. Something to really show how sorry they were and much the bakeneko meant to them.

"Miss Natasha... what is an appropriate gift for a close friend?"

"Of course, I will take you to Tadashi. Whenever you want, even tonight if you like," Natasha said as she gave Ezra a warmly and reassuring smile, sensing how relieved and nervous he was feeling.

"I am not sure," she admitted as a city bus drove by them, heading down the street. "What sort of things does Tadashi like to do?" she asked, needing a bit more info before she suggested a gift of any sort. She figured that this required something thoughtful and with heart, and showed Ezra knew his friend.

"I appreciate the offer, but I would not want to inconvenience you. The information you have is more than enough for me." They paused for a moment, flinching heavily as the bus drove by. Despite being off of the island and facing modern technology, most large vehicles still made the Sho'lai flinch. It never left them feeling very safe seeing these massive monstrosities gunning along. Magic was, in their opinion, much easier to understand and deal with. "Although now I worry that showing up unannounced might make Tadashi feel more upset as if I am forcing him to have the conversation. Perhaps it would be better for you to help introduce us in a safe space."

At the mention of Tadashi's hobbies, Ezra seemed to perk up considerably. Or at least as much as they would be able to. "I know that Tadashi enjoys art and is quite apt at bring his drawings to life, both in the literal and artistic sense. Perhaps some sort of unique artistry tool would be to his benefit, but I do not know what would be best."

"Actually, I just might have an idea or two of where you two could meet that is neutral, and a comfortable safe space," Natasha said as Ezra told her about Tadashi's interests which were surprisingly similar to her own.... except that Natasha couldn't give life to her paintings.

"I don't know about Tadashi, but as an artist," Natasha said as they reached a taxi stop where they could wait and hire a cab to take them home. "A nice portfolio where they can keep their art is always appreciated, so is a box to hold their paints or drawing pencils," she suggested.

"That would be most preferable. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, Miss Natasha. If there is anything you need from me, please do not hesitate to call upon me. I am available at all hours, except for during school hours at the high school level. I am unfortunately occupied during those times." Ezra nodded, noting an odd sensation in their abdominal region. It felt very faint, but there was a definite tingling feeling emanating from the region. Was this a normal feeling? The more they thought about the meeting with Tadashi, the stronger the sensation got so perhaps it was a good thing?

"Miss Natasha, those sound like excellent ideas. I might have another idea but I would have to find someone who has the magical abilities to enchant it. Would you happen to know an artificer or other mage who is capable of enchanting objects?" They paused. "Ideally one that is not my current guardian as she is off-island?"

"You are very welcome, Ezra," Natasha said as she flashed him a very pleased look when he thanked her.

"I am going to assume that for both you and Tadashi a weekday or evening is not the most suitable time to have a reunion of any sort," Nat said thoughtfully as she considered all of the best and worst options.

"How about next Saturday afternoon?" she suggested after a fashion as she also mentioned that it wouldn't be a problem finding an artificer or a witch that could enchant objects. She was sure the Del Bosque witches would know somebody, and if they didn't she could ask around the MCSS.

"I would assume so. Weekends generally have the most free time to be utilized so meeting on Saturday would be the most ideal meeting day." Ezra agreed, watching a taxi eventually slow to a stop in front of the duo. Ezra would open the door for Natasha to enter first before following suit and taking a seat next to the witch. They would give directions to their home first and pay for both their own ride as well as Natasha's.

"My gift idea is simple yet functional for Tadashi. I noticed when we went out together on a social outing that he was drawing with a piece of charcoal. If I can enchant a new piece of charcoal to be unbreaking, he would never need to purchase more. I could also perhaps enchant it so..."

Ezra would continue ranting off ideas until arriving at the front gate of their home. With a courteous farewell, the Sho'lai would exit the vehicle and head home to plan their eventual meet up.
