Ishvi's thoughts were a little disjointed. Not unpleasantly so, he just wasn't actually used to having conversations. As they walked, he'd slip into silence, just watching Jacota, forgetting that he should probably say something. But the silence between them wasn't suffocating and he didn't feel pressure to break it.
"Were you living around humans then? Here on Earth? I only lived around angels..." He frowned slightly. It always stung to think of home, to talk about it and realize it was gone. "And we fought dem-demons." Ishvi's voice caught a bit and he squeezed Jacota's hand. "I was too young to meet any face to face. Never met a human either, though we were supposed to be protecting them. I never understood what a nightmare was except... half..."
As distracted as Ishvi was, he stumbled a bit when Jacota stopped, looking over at him slightly worried that he'd said something wrong. "Oh.." Home was confusing to him, but he thought that sounded like a compliment, and he glanced down at his toes at a loss for words. Then he blurted out, "We should dance!" Flushing himself at that being the first thing that came to mind. "Or something... I-I don't know... There's so much.. I've never really... um... I don't know how to act like people, like other people..." By the end of the sentence he was mumbling and staring at his shoes like they were fascinating. But he wasn't flickering.
