"Oh..." Live pulled the flask back, actually feeling a bit bad for not thinking of that. Then, she smirked and held the flask up, waving it back and forth a couple times, "Oh, it's not real silver. Just steel or some shit. I'm too cheap for actual silver. But fair enough if yah don't want to risk it."
Live wasn't often the understanding kind of person. However, when it came to supernatural weaknesses she could be. Her's was nearly impossible to avoid; direct sunlight. One of the reasons she was mostly nocturnal, though she did have to work during the day but her boss was pretty understanding. She had looked into a charm before but it seemed the most common ones were for vampires and since she wasn't a vampire it didn't really work for her. She would have to get one specially made and it was so expensive. Maybe one day she would do it but not right now. She spent too much money on booze.
She put the flask back in her bag and put the bag back on her back. She picked up her plate and cup, taking a good couple swallows.
She narrowed her eyes at Aura, "Wait, you can't eat sugar?"
@PixelatedGlory

Aura was a little worried at Live narrowing her eyes and she nervously scratched at her wrist more. Did that upset her for some reason? Plenty of people were a little weirded out by her diet, she guessed, but still. "Um, I can really only eat raw meat. At least I can drink coffee and tea and liquor that doesn't have sugar though." Might as well get that over with. There was a reason she hadn't paid too much attention to the various foods and drinks set out for people to take.

"This is... I mean I didn't exactly plan anything... I just thought it would be nice if you were here..." Ishvi glanced towards the fire. It must be that that was making the night warmer than he'd thought it would be. He chewed his lip in thought, then looked back at Jacota. "We can walk or sit or... I probably should've thought more... whatever you want. " Despite his nervousness and blaming himself for things already, Ishvi wasn't flickering from stress, a little calmer tonight than he had been for a while.
"The club that's doing this, Hereafter, they're about learning about other species. I saw a pamphlet in the community centre. And I've never really.. I don't know anything about, nightmares..." He gave Jacota's hand a light squeeze. "I thought I'd at least... check it out maybe. Because... well..." He trailed off with a shrug, slightly embarrassed now.
"I think I'd still rather talk to you for a bit but - I'm not that good with talking. I don't know what to say."

"I-I'm always happy...to be with you."
Jacota said quietly and smiled shyly. He pulled on Ishvi's hand a bit, leading the two of them to walk near the edge of the woods, as far away from the water as possible. Jacota walked on the side of the ocean, working as a kind of wall between it and Ishvi.
Jacota's ears twitched a bit at Ishvi's words, he wanted to learn about nightmares. That made Jacota relieved, it meant that Ishvi wasn't avoiding that side of himself anymore. Jacota squeezed his hand back while they walked slowly, enjoying the night.
"I want to learn too, together with you. If you'll let me."
Jacota's ears pressed down bit, he hoped he wasn't being too pushy about this. Ishvi obviously wasn't okay with being half-nightmare, where as Jacota was. Or more like Jacota had never thought that he was anything special despite being half nightmare. He barely remembered his past, he didn't want to remember, but Jacota knew the people he called his parents had always treated Jacota normally and lovingly.
"Whether we talk or don't talk being with you is...I can't ask for more."
@Boop
When Jacota nuzzled his hair, Ishvi blushed too, looking away with a soft smile on his face. He stammered something out in reply, but it was too muddled to make any sense. And then he followed the younger man quietly, keeping close, glancing over at his face from time to time but just enjoying the comfortable silence for a bit. Whenever Ishvi looked, he smiled again, as if he kept being surprised he wasn't alone. He was barely even thinking about the water for the moment.
"Yes. It'd be nice to learn with you. Do um do you know much about.. what you are? You don't have to talk about it if it hurts." He did look at the water then, biting his lip with a bit of worry. "One day, I'll have to tell you things.. you probably won't like. But not today, I think, not today." Deliberately he pulled his eyes away from the ocean, looking at their hands instead.
"Did I ever tell you... My home is - was somewhere out there... A long way to fly. Too far to fly. I ended up coming here from the water. We didn't really have it there. I never tried to make this place home, even though I've been here five years. And now everything is... a lot. You feel safe I think."

"Ah. Yeah I've got no fucking clue what the sugar content is. Despite what some people think, I'd never try to poison someone. If I wanted to hurt you, I wouldn't do something so...sneaky. You'd see me coming." She smirked a bit as she took another sip from her drink.
Live stared at Aura for a moment, considering the new information. It was a bit odd but eh. She shrugged and took another drink, "Lots of people have dietary restrictions here. Raw meat is a bit strange tho. What about cooked meat?"
@PixelatedGlory

Live was really going to town on that drink. Aura wondered if it was something she should be concerned about but then decided it wasn't any of her business for the moment. Alcohol in general wasn't something she was super familiar with, considering it wasn't like they would have allowed that on the islets even if she had been of age while there.
Aura nodded. She'd seen firsthand how people could have really specific or unusual diets. "Um, no I really can't have cooked meat either. Something about cooking it makes it so I can't digest it. I don't really know why," she shrugged. "Makes my grocery list simple though, right?" She joked with a small smile.

"I didn't know much before they brought me here. I just knew I was not a human, and a mix of things that were not human. It doesn't hurt, so you can ask and I will answer."
Jacota shrugged a bit and smiled slightly, though that smile died when he saw the worry on Ishvi's face. Jacota glanced over at the water, and then looked back at Ishvi as he spoke. Jacota whined quietly, whatever Ishvi would someday tell him, it hurt Ishvi. Jacota used his thumb to carefully stroke Ishvi's hand.
"I will listen when you decide it's time, and even if I won't like it I will stay here."
Jacota listened to Ishvi talk about his home and how he came to this island, on water. Was that why Ishvi was afraid of water? No, Jacota was pretty sure it was something else. But that didn't matter now.
"I was scared of this place when I came, I still am a little. But you feel safe to me too, you make it less scary."
Jacota stopped and held onto Ishvi's hand so he'd stop too, and he looked Ishvi in the eye, blushing.
"For me home is not a place, it's how something feels. You...you feel like home."

Live couldn't help but grin a bit — just a bit — back at Aura's frrriendly comment. If she had been upset with Aura, she wouldn't have taken the hint of a growl so lightly, but their conversation had been pleasant thus far. In fact, the growl almost made Live give a bit more respect to the girl. She herself was one to let people know she wasn't afraid to stick up for herself so hearing someone else do it — when she wasn't ticked off at them — earned them a few points in Live's book.
Live probably shouldn't have bothered spiking her drink. Because there wasn't enough in her flask to get her beyond a bit buzzed which meant she could end up just tipsy and pissy. Not a pleasant combination. But she hadn't thought that far ahead. She had just thought, 'Hey, I can make a mixed drink out of this!', and that was where the logic stopped.
She chuckled, "Yeah, easy grocery shopping that is for sure. Do you hunt much?" She had met a werewolf, or other such half wolf half human creature, here and there. Some would never dream of killing their own food while others wouldn't dare eat anything they didn't slaughter themselves.
@PixelatedGlory

Hunting. Aura wished she could hunt. She really missed that. Technically she could do it again now that she was not locked up, but it was complicated. She was pretty sure she could keep herself under control as long as it wasn't a full moon but boy was her wolf form big and scary. Aura wasn't even sure if she could sneak up on anything either. "I haven't hunted anything since they brought me to the islets. I'd like to try doing it again but... some day maybe," she trailed off a little bit as she absently reached up to make sure her hair was still covering the side of her face. Stupid, since if anything had been showing she would have known already. She was tempted to change the color of her hair and eye just to distract from the awkwardness she knew she was giving off. But she didn't like showing off either- extra attention wasn't pleasant.
"So... um, what do you like to do? You said you just wandered in here too." Aura tried to shift some of the focus back onto Live. It felt like she was just standing there talking about herself, even though that wasn't entirely true.
