Nebula paused for a couple of seconds. "Power classes ain't working out, huh?" she replied. "I'm not too sure how much I can help you. I was built like this, and my powers naturally became stronger as I was upgraded and aged. Whatcha need help on specifically?"

"Well, I've only been taking power classes for two days now, but I don't know if I'm really going to improve from that. I've been training for a while with no improvement, I feel like I'm missing some key step or something." It didn't sound like Nebula would be able to help much based on the description of how she improved her powers, but it was still worth a shot.

As for what he needed help with. "I guess for starters it would be neat if I could split the force up to two objects at once like you can?" He wasn't too sure himself what he wanted most, but that sounded like a simple enough start.

Only two days and he doesn't have trust in the system? Well, Nebula couldn't blame him. She didn't take any power classes. She tried once and decided it wasn't for her. Not much of a need when you've been using your powers for years and are used to how they work.

"You can barely lift a spoon without passing out and you want to lift two objects? Stick to one, unless you're trying to kill yourself," she said harshly. "Looks like you gotta lift your, uh, brain muscle. Not sure what I can tell you that a professional hadn't thought of. If training every day isn't working, uhhh, you tried drugs? That could help with the mental stuff."

It was a little disappointing, hearing Nebula recommend that he sticks to a single object. However, in his head he saw this as her being worried after having seen him use his power while he was already tired out. She would’ve thought differently had she seen him at his full potential.

Brain muscles and drugs weren’t totally the solutions he wanted. He’d been supposedly training his brain muscle for years with no results. Then drugs didn’t feel like the most natural way to go about things. Although, drugs could possibly get results, so it was probably a good idea to at least attempt that route. At least in his eyes it was.

“I see.” Alby’s tone was a mixture between disappointment and understanding. “Well, I’ve never tried to use any sort of special drugs, that might work. Thanks.” Turning to the very last page of his journal, Alby wrote down a short bullet point, then turned back to the previous page.

“Do you happen to know where you can get something like that?”

Nebula snickered. "Dude, I'm a robot. I don't have an actual brain. Drugs do jack shit to me, so I know jack shit about where to find them. Go to one of those big parties when they're being hosted. I'm sure they'll have something for you."

She wished she could have been more helpful, but this was very much out of her comfort zone. "Uhh, honestly, I think you should put in a little more faith in power classes. But, uhh, another thing could be meditation? Meditation seems to work for a lot of psychic stuff. Numb yourself so much you can't feel your body and you only focus on your mind."

"Dang, I was worried about that." Of course she didn't know where to find them, there was no reason for her to ever buy them...

He wasn't too sure about the party idea. He felt like it'd be pretty easy to get tricked by somebody and end up taking something totally random. He didn't want to end up with brain damage or something. At least if he did, he wanted to get a cool power increase from it.

As for the power classes. "You're right, I should. I guess I'm just a little hasty. I've been getting nowhere for a long time, I expected I was going to start improving immediately as soon as I got here. As for meditation, I've tried that, didn't seem to work."

He let out a small chuckle. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be asking this type of stuff. I just get excited, ya know?" He was at a much calmer state than before.

Nebula gave a carefree shrug. "It's no biggie. Too bad my court is all about civilizations and shit. Don't got anyone to send you to on telekinesis. But I can say this for certain: rushing things won't help. Some people are slow with improving, and you just gotta accept you may be one of those. Emphasis on may." She didn't want to see this ki—No, wait, he looked older than her, now that she thought about it. She didn't want to see Alby get depressed and think his hard work was a lost cause, even though he didn't seem like the type.

"Trust in the school, see about finding a power tutor or something. Overworking yourself will lead to burnout... or passing out with you. You're in a new place, so you'll find new things. Slowly, but surely. And, uhh, I know there's this girl called Caissa Drago who tutors people. She specializes in basically everything. I heard she's a real bitch though." That comment wasn't made with any spite in it. Nebula could handle bitchiness. It was more a warning in case Alby could not. "There's also that weird librarian who tutors people in magic. His name is Selkiris. Not sure if your telekinesis counts as magic, but, eh, give it a shot."

Slow to improve was one thing, but this had been several years now. Still, he stayed hopeful. He just needed that one big break that would eventually come, then he'd be good to go.

The next bit of information was especially good. A power tutor was a good idea. He gave a firm nod. Flipping to the last page of his book and writing down the names of the two people Nebula suggested he try seeing. He could probably handle weirdness and bitchiness. It was a small price to pay if it meant he could potentially take a crack at improvement. "Thanks Nebula, even if your court doesn't specialize in this type of thing, you've still been a great help." He gave a smile and a thumbs up.

Then a small yawn escaped him. The advice Nebula gave him about working too hard was probably more important than anything. His tunnel vision had been leaving him tuckered right out at the end of every day. "And I'll try to let myself rest every now and then."

Nebula was not used to being thanked for her help. She was a ghost that came and went without acknowledgment. Back in her court, she simply did what she was told to. Her work was, quite literally, a thankless job.

So Alby's words sent her fumbling with her hands and her face blushing a strong light purple. Without looking Alby in the face, she stuttered out a reply. "A-Ah, thank you. Er, you're welcome, but thank you, too. Uhh, I should head back and charge up, so how about we trade numbers? You weren't so bad to talk to. And since we're both new, we can trade information and chat, or whatever. Only if you want, I mean."

Alby was fascinated by the manner by which Nebula became flustered, noting the light purple that appeared and seemed to resemble blushing. He wasn't totally sure why he was being thanked, but figured it was only polite to respond with "You're welcome."

When the mention of needing to head back came up, Alby was a little sad, but had more or less accepted the fact that he couldn't just keep this up all night. "Aw, alright. I guess it probably would do me some good to get some rest myself." He set his book down and took his phone out from his pocket. "I'd love that." He would then proceed to navigate to his number in his phone and show it to Nebula long enough for her to record it.
