Sid rubbed the back of his neck as he walked out of the sex hotel. He loved it when rich kids decided to take a walk on the wild side. Every now and again he liked to feel the silky sheets of an expensive mattress under his hands, and the subdued creaking of a bed as they whined.

Plus they never knew what to do afterwards--if he had a dollar for everytime they timidly asked them after their voices stopped quivering in the afterglow if they should pay him, he might as well have just let them pay him. This time he decided to take them up on the offer of monetary compensation, so was hefting a nice sum in his wallet. Maybe he should make escorting rich kids a profession.

The night was cold, so he pulled his letterman closed over his bare chest as he fished around his pockets for his phone and a stick of gum. He always found that he preferred gum to cigarettes--he'd tried a post-coital cigarette once and started choking on the smoke. It killed his afterglow.

That probably had a lot to do with the fact that Sid wasn't a smoker, but still.

Leaning against the wall, he texted a few of his friends and pulled up his twitter as he chewed and popped a few bubbles of sweet sugar. Lei was being a memer as always and Sid couldn't help but quirk a smile.

He yawned and tucked his phone back into his pocket and just looked around. He wasn't really in the mood to go back to his room, and he felt weird about to just holding on to all this money. He ought to buy himself a drink or two. Some people thought drinking alone was sad, but Sid found it kind of relaxing, drinking with no pretense.

Yeah, that sounded good.

Deith wanted to skip work, honestly. He still had some time before midnight, not much, but enough to maybe think more about skipping work while probably enjoying some nice drink. He's been going to this certain bar regularly, ever since he tasted their special drinks. He had no idea how he got to a wilder part of downtown but he was on his way, and he didn't really care about anything he sees while walking.

Love hotels, stripper bars, drunk guys fighting, a male drow walking to his direction.....

Fuck.

Deith froze and squinted his eyes. The drow was pretty far away, still a couple of meters ahead, but he was walking to Deith's direction and holy fuck is that Ardos or Sid? Deith's blood boiled with some kind of hatred for both, so it didn't really matter.

Actually, his blood was starting to boil now. He couldn't move from his spot for some reason. The only way he could attempt hiding from the drow was to look away and hope the drow wouldn't notice. Slowly, he attempted to walk away. Uh.... Back to where he came from. He turned around, pulled his black windbreaker tighter to his torso, buried his hands in its pockets before walking away.

Goddammit his night just had to be ruined early.

Sid's face was cast down into his phone for the most part, shooting off texts, posting to twitter, that sort of thing, when a strange movement from the corner of his eye caught his attention. It looked like someone turning around and walking back the way they came, and in this part of town that usually only meant trouble. The drow's lips pursed into a line as he shoved his phone in his pocket and set about following this mysterious man.

It sucked that he was so much taller than the drow, but he was more or less a master at moving quickly and quietly, and was right behind him in a matter of seconds. Once he was right behind him, he suddenly recognized him. A smirk formed on his face as he bounded in front of Deith, turning and flashing a shit eating smile at him and walking backwards through the shady streets.

The drow was well aware that Deith hated his guts. In fact, he loved it. It was pretty refreshing to have his feelings for someone be reciprocated in more or less equal measure.

Not like that fucking line face asshole god what fuck was even his fucking--

"Hey Deith," Sid said, his smile reaching his eyes. "Fancy seeing you around here. You frequent this place often? Picking up chicks? Or dudes?"

Deith thought he was already safe but... It only took him one moment to realize that the familiar presence was already right behind him.

And another moment to find the drow already in front of him.

And it wasn't Ardos. It was Sid. The drow he hated more than the other, most especially because of that stupid grin that he'd love to scrape off from its surface.

"Hi, Sid," he greeted rather monotonously. His eyes can't help but roll away; he was pissed and he didn't know what to do. "Don't liken me with you. I was gonna get something to drink." Why the fuck did he even have to explain himself to this douche? He didn't. But....

Maybe in a sense, it mattered for him not to look so bad in front of Sid, because the guy was his boyfriend's best friend and anything that happens from this point on can reach Lei's ears.

Fucking dammit.

"So how about you?" he was glaring at him now, but in a subtle and cold way and not the burning type. "Done picking up chicks? Or guys?"

Deith's clear disdain for him only made Sid's face grow into an even bigger smile. It amused him how much the other guy absolutely couldn't stand him. He couldn't help it if Deith's buttons were so fun to push. Maybe he should have made himself a teeny bit more emotionally thick-skinned, and Sid would be more predisposed to be nice to him. After all, he was Lei's boyfriend.

That was conveniently keeping his job as a secret from his buddy. Which could only make the drow wonder what other things he was keeping from the Sheep Princess.

"Don't liken me with you. I was gonna get something to drink."

"Well by that designation I would say we're exactly the same, considering we're both on our ways to get something to drink, huh?"

Shit-eating grin still in place, he shoved his hands into his pocket. "And yeah, I'm done picking up chicks. And guys."

Sid took his wallet out his pocket and flashed to the Deith. "How about we get a drink together. Shoot the shit. I'm sure Lei would like to see us getting along."

If Ardos' grumpy face was irritating but also fun to poke, Sid's idiotic grin was more irritating that Deith would rather scoop it out of his face instead. But he didn't. Because this drow was Lei's shitty best friend. He mattered to Lei, and that fact alone made him want to kill the guy. But it was also enough to force him not to.

Deith could feel a vein twitching below his right eye.

"You know I hate you, right? So how about a no?" he said, turning around to head to the original direction he was taking. Not punching Sid right away was already a hard task; walking away was even harder. But he managed.

But then he thought of Lei. Sid was right, his sweetheart would probably feel better if he and this stupid drow actually got along. The thought was so disgusting. He felt like his stomach was spinning and he was going to throw up.

He paused and turned back to Sid. "You know what, let's get some drinks. But don't be surprised if my fist finds its way to that stupid grin on you." He rolled his eyes again. "You know a good place?"

"Oh yes, you make your hatred of me crystal clear," He said with a sing song voice. "And I like to think that you're not so socially inept that you can't tell that I hate absolutely everything about you."

It had a lot to do with the general feel he got from Deith. He really couldn't put it into any more words than just the fact that he rubbed Sid the wrong way, in so many different ways. It had to do with the fact that he worked at Fight Club and yet Lei didn't know even that. He'd done a little snooping, and even Ardos' little boy toy knew about his less than savory jobs.

He hated to admit that that line-faced bastard could be better than this guy, but hey.

Ardos for all his fucking.... everything didn't set off half as many alarm bells as this guy. Sid was reasonably sure that despite everything Ardos did, he wasn't dangerous.

Deith though....

At the mention of punching him, his grin became less shit-eating and more coy. "Sure. As long as you don't expect me to be the bigger man."

Looking out a the strip, he sighed. "Follow me. I heard there's a good place for drinks down this street here."

They were seriously going to grab some drinks together. Fuck it, Deith can't believe they were serious. It didn't matter now though, and with a sigh, he found himself resigning to Sid and following him closely. A few breaths, and he was able to clear his head from the momentary wave of irritation. While the hate was there, Deith believed he can actually spend some time with this guy.

"So, how's Lei?" he asked as he moved beside the drow. He wasn't exactly trying to make small talk; rather he just really wanted to ask about the adorable princess. They haven't seen each other in a few days, and texts weren't enough for him to know how Lei was doing.

Sid couldn't believe that he'd gotten Deith to get drinks with him without knocking him unconscious first. It was a miracle. Of course what was even more of a miracle is that no one was forcing either of them to do this. They were actually willingly about to spend time in the other's company, and that was amazing. If he didn't check his phone just then the drow would have thought it was Christmas.

As they came up to the place Sid had mentioned--a decently sized place, from which sultry jazz played slowly, he looked back to the guy and grinned, his expression languid and almost smug. "Oh, Lei's fine. We were working on a few top secret Chemistry projects, you know?"

Deith didn't need to know about the car fire. He was pretty sure Lei would kill him if he told.

The drow opened the door to the bar. Warmth rolled out of the door and smelled like vodka and cream. "After you, your distastefulness."

@Trahnael — dont worry about it~~

Deith scanned the entrance of the place for a while. It wasn't what he expected, and that was good because what he expected was a rowdy place filled with people he might end up brawling with.

The jazz in the air gave him a good impression, and the scent that wafted to his nose was definitely attractive. He didn't withhold the approving nod that was meant for Sid. Although his lips were pursed with the intention to mock.

"Not bad," he muttered, turning and grinning to the drow. He heard him mention about Chemistry, and a memory briefly flashed inside his mind. How Lei was so energetic when it came to things like those. "A secret project, you say? Does it involve fireworks or explosives?" Deith chuckled. His voice was strangely smooth, not strained and irritated like it was a moment ago. It was the voice he'd use whenever Lei was around, although he'd never set it up on purpose.

He looked inside the bar through the door, before shrugging at Sid's casual remark. Deith didn't deny it, since he actually agreed, and so found himself not ruffled by it.

He entered, scanning the place once more. The liquor's scent was much stronger, much thicker inside. Somehow, he found a reason to be glad he was with Sid tonight.
