He shrugged. "I dunno. Just thought..." Nicolas shook his head, and looked around with shifty eyes before sighing. "I'm lost, ok?"
He had come here to get away, and everytime something had come along, animal or human he had run so far away he had just gotten lost and confused by now.
Nicolas nodded. "Ok. Do you want to come?" he asked. He was actually just the tinniest bit scared of some animal coming and ripping him to shreds. It was always better to get ripped to shreds with someone else, and since she was there.... well why not?
Nicolas smiled somewhat, though it could hardly be seen. "Alright. So, how long have you been here?" he asked, trying to make conversation. He started walking toward the school at a slow pace, obviously waiting for her.
He shrugged. "Both?" he suggested. If it lengthened the conversation and didn't leave any awkward silences, then he was fine with whatever answer that she gave.
"Oh. Well, I've been here most of the day. I haven't done much. Just walked around and enjoyed the quiet." She paused and smiled. "And I've been at the academy for coming upon a month now." Turning her head to look at his profile. "What about you?"
"Well, I've been here since... seven in the morning, maybe." It had been early, that much he knew. The exact time escaped him, though. "I've been at the school since late December, though. How do you like it here so far?"
