It was hard staying professional when you were surrounded by entirely too attractive aliens. Finnegan had pulled through for his official business here, a personal checkup with the extended scouting staff, but after he exited the Station's academy, he was back in all too flustered hell. It was unbecoming of him, with his age and authority figure status, to be this bothered, but he had a weakness. Everything here was very colorful and new, eye catching, especially the people. It was rare, for someone older to find novelties. Although he was still in his Scout Captain uniform, Finn had to huff and head straight for a club, not quite ready leave for Earth again.

Clubs weren't places that tended to change much. The atmosphere was familiar, even if the scents and sights weren't. Finn sat himself down at the bar, leaning with his back against the counter and facing the rest of the room, observing the crowd. Although staying ever alert in reality, his posture was loose. He didn't drink, so instead, he was smoking a pipe of something that made his insides feel brighter and warmer, the already bold colors dancing even more excitedly.

Adriel had heard the other students talking about this place, it seemed to be infamous for some reason, she hadn't wanted to ask why. To be fair she hadn't even been interested in the subject till someone went and mentioned a bar. She had been caught by academy staff already drinking, something that they frowned upon for a person who seemed so young, so doing it somewhere thousands of miles away seemed to be the best answer.
The people here fascinated her, despite her thousands of years of existence as an angel she had been somewhat sheltered from anything that wasn't directly connected to her duties. They seemed so carefree and happy, an emotion she could only yearn for right now.
She tugged her jacket tighter around her as she walked up to the bar, a somewhat blank expression on her face as she scanned the crowd, failing to recognise anyone as she perched against the counter lightly. unlike a lot of people she looked entirely too human, her beautiful and expansive wings that would otherwise make her stand out currently invisible. Adriel leaned across the bar and tried to speak loudly enough to be heard over the music, till the bartender entered her thoughts instead, taking her order without a single word needing to be uttered.
with her glass cosy between her palms she found her gaze wandering down the length of the bar, stopping as she curiously laid eyes on a man smoking something.
