"Well now." Deith gladly took the second glass. He was not going to attempt taking it quick again, instead he seemed wary of the drink this time, in a slightly playful way. One eyebrow raised as he gave the Demon a good look, a thoughtful smirk on his lips. He slowly wrapped his fingers around the glass, and brought it up to have the first sip for this round.
The drink was stronger, just like what Samael had foreshadowed. It burned his tongue and continued through his chest and stomach. Deith put the glass down with a sharp exhale, before turning his eyes to the bartender once more. "This drink," he gestured to the glass with a finger, "probably has too much charm."
He laughed. He took a few more sips and felt his whole body burn even more. For the moment, that was all he felt, and Samael and the bar was all he saw. What had led him here before was now forgotten.
He understood what it meant to say that Demon and Angel were like darkness and light. In every sense, it was true. The Angel was a light drink that Deith wouldn't get enough of even if he kept ordering it for the entire night, but while Demon was very much appealing, he knew it was going to knock him out sooner or later. Halfway down the second glass, he was already starting to feel a little lightheaded.
"I have a question." Deith looked at Samael once more. His face was even redder, but he didn't seem to be drunk, at least not yet. "What's the bar's record for most glasses of Demon taken by one person?"
