Gyres held back a laugh and nodded silently to Kon. "Very well Mr. Kon. I suppose we can meet elsewhere. Until later~". Gyres wrote down his phone number and handed it to Kon before waving off and leaving somewhere. He was certainly going to need do some research on his new friend, if they got too wild he may just have to 'silence' them.

"Mr. Hatsu would be more accurate, but I would prefer to be called Konpeitō or Kon."

Kon took the phone number with a smile, then grew a large pair of white, feathery wings. He wouldn't be able to fly with them immediately, but after taking a bite from the harpy wing, he would be in the air soon enough.

♥ ♥ ♥

The two men met up two hours later after a conversation had on Kon's burner phone. This time, Konpeitō took on a different appearance. That of a man of similar height to him of six-two and of a slimmer build. He heavily pushed Gyres to meet up at a location he picked out. This heightened the safety of meeting with such a suspicious man. Though Kon was already certain he was safe. Amongst other things, he had a note in his bedroom that if someone found the note he was in danger, and he sent a message to his roommate that he was meeting up with a potential business partner for TWIS.

With all the preparations he made, Kon couldn't ignore that he was letting his curiosity get the best of his judgment. But he went this far. Go big or go home.

And home he did not go. He showed up at the meeting space just as expected. A bar hidden within the less pleasant side of MCI. Nothing too seedy, but it wasn't where the best people walked about. That was why it was perfect. Barely anyone was inside.

When Konpeitō saw Gyres, he waved him over to his booth. A cat-like smile showed who he truly was before returning to his blank, tired expression.

"Gyres. I'm happy to see you made it." His voice didn't hold any of its usual enthusiasm. Its pitch was also slightly higher, making him more androgynous than before.

Before meeting back up with Mr. Hatsu, Gyres had his own preparations and failsafes to make. Gyres was dressed the same as he was when him and Kon first met, however accompanying him to the meeting location was two of his Ashen. These two Ashen were actually original members of the Gyres’s group from Halycon so he trusted them more than the usual riff raff he dealt with. While they weren’t likely necessary, if Kon got a little too intrusive the Ashen would start the ‘False Hero’ protocol.

Gyres entered by himself, quickly noting Kon waving him over and going to join him. Gyres sat down on the other side of Kon, giving the cat his custom Gyres smile. A few minutes after Gyres entered, the two Ashen would enter wearing plain and inconspicuous clothing. They would move to an booth close by but far enough to not seem suspicious, ordering their own drinks as they waited for a signal that would likely never come.

“Kon~ You look...different from our last meeting. Though I don’t think it’s a bad change~” Gyres gave a soft chuckle and moved into a reclined position.

Kon was happy Gyres recognized him immediately. It made things easier. Too bad the bar was getting busier. As long as people kept talking and focusing on their own conversations, Kon would feel the need to move elsewhere or end this interaction here.

Once they were both seated, Kon straightened up his back and prepared to jump right to the point. "I thought it would be for the best depending on what you wanted to talk to me about. And please, refer to me as Jaime when I'm like this. Now, why were you so interested in me?"

Gyres just kept on smiling, as this just got more and more entertaining. “Alright then Jaime. As I said previous you seem interesting, and I do so enjoy interesting people. I actually surround myself with them as best I can. Normal is just a tad too boring for me, I like a little excitement in my life. You understand, don’t you Jaime?” Gyres kept his eyes and smile focused on Kon.

Kon continued to stare at the men with immense disinterest. If this was a casual conversation, he would agree with Gyres. He loved the interesting. He adored them. According to his therapist, he somewhat fetishized them, though he didn't agree with that perception.

But that wasn't the conversation Kon was interested in having.

"Get to the point. I asked a question and you are taking too long to answer."

Gyres smiled and laughed a little. “Alright alright Jaime. Geez wasn’t expecting you to be this forward. Said you were an information broker yea? Could use that kinda help. I sad I deal in everything, and information is sure as hell something that can be traded. Just a little side job of course, nothing serious.” Gyres kept his smile on. He knew as sure as well Kon would be getting suspicious with this ‘information’ dealing but as long as they didn’t ask the wrong questions they would be fine.

"I'm always forward. It's one of my defining characteristics," he replied bluntly. If someone couldn't take how blunt and open he could be, then that was a sign that they weren't worth dealing with.

"I did that kind of work very rarely and picked up some skills needed for it along the way. But I would be stupid to not ask what information you want, how you plan on using it, and what I get out of all of this."

His dad didn't care how the information was used, but that's because he was confident in his anonymity and didn't care about doing illegal jobs. Konpeitō was still unsure about what he wanted to do. He liked what he did before, but it wasn't something he could do now. At least, not yet. There were safer alternatives.

Gyres laughed a little more again. “Oh Jaime. Just like everything else, there information I deal in is very broad. Rumors, events, anything and everything. As for me I merely intend to sell the information, I’m just the broker. As for you, you would of course get paid a handsome cut for the information that you’ve give which people pay for. I’d say...60-65% is a fair offer.”

Right. Money was involved. Something Konpeitō loved. If he could, he would kill for money. It took everything in Kon's power to keep both his face straight and his shape-shifting from blatantly showing his emotions. This form of his shape-shifting made having a poker face harder than he expected.

It didn't sound like a bad deal. Even better, Kon has shape-shifting down to a DNA level pinned down. He could hide his identity. Konpeitō had met Gyres at a store and had a quick conversation with him. Jaime was the information broker. And he had burner phones and knew how to wipe information off of his devices. It might be harder with all these electrokinetic people around, but he was confident in his ability to hide. Gyres was the one actually giving the information in the end. Really, that's why Kon was getting more money. He gathered the information and gave it to Gyres, and all Gyres had to do was link himself to the information by selling it.

"So I give the information to you, and you sell it? How do I guarantee you're giving me the proper amount of money? You could easily say you got a hundred dollars when you actually got two hundred, then give me 60 dollars. And what if I decide I'm not interested in this deal, either now or down the line?"
