Gyres’s eyes perked a little as Kon’s form shifted to a much taller being. It was certainly unusual, however he had seen things such as that occasionally happen in Halycon city. Gyres found himself wondering what exactly Kon was though. Manta Carlos was much more diverse in species than Halycon ever was, so the only limit to Kon’s possible species was Gyres’s imagination.

His smiled somehow widened as Kon talked of getting business advice from Basilio. This was a perfect time to strike. “Oh? Business advice? What type of business advice are you seeking? I’m sure I could be of assistance, and I’m always looking for new business partners.”

Gyres nodded his head and took this information as best he could. While an organization like that maybe useless on the surface, it could be a way to easily gain contacts and expand his empire. “Oh I’d describe myself as an..opportunist. I do many different things if there is good opportunity for it. Mostly though I am a trader of goods. That’s why I tried to gain supplies from Basilio, for trade.” Gyres was telling a half-truth when he said he was a trader. While he did trade in a massive plethora of items, many of them were illegal.

Gyres chuckled a little. “If you really wish to leave we can do so.” Gyres moved over to the exit and opened the door for Kon to leave before him. “If you really wish to know more about my business I’m sure I could enlighten you. Which would you prefer to know more about, the past or present?.” If Kon wanted to know the present first, Gyres was definitely gonna have to fib some of it. He can’t go openly saying he’s a drug and weapon dealer, that is definitely very bad for business.

Gyres closed the door behind them, quickly thanking Glinda once more before truly leaving. He quickly moved to walk side by side with Kon afterwards. “Well I did say I was a trader. I trade pretty much anything legal. Food, technology, raw materials, artifacts, magical items. If you name it I’m sure I have one or two of them lying around somewhere.” This was once again true, but Gyres again skirted away from the shady side of his business.

Gyres chuckled a little at Kon. “Yes yes of course it’s all legal methods. The only reason I specify is because whenever I say I trade in pretty much anything, they start asking if that includes drugs and weapons. It does not.” That was a complete and blatant lie but if it got the job done, who really cares.

“Before I came here....well I supposed I should put it bluntly. I was the bad guy. I was one of this villains seeking to take over Halycon city. Not much point in continuing that though as Halycon city doesn’t exist anymore.”
