Gyres was beginning to like Kon more and more. They weren’t one of these simple minded sheep, they knew what to ask. “Of course Jaime. Trust is a big factor however if you truly don’t believe me I can always give you the transaction papers for the information given. I always make sure to have those papers written up for a multitude of reasons. The price will always vary depending on the information given however I am a man of word Jaime, that is something I promise you.” Gyres smiled and watched Kon, though Gyres actually was not lying. He was intending to give Kon the proper money he agreed on giving him. After all why cheat the kid? Gyres was making enough money as is.

"We only just met. There is very little trust here. The transaction papers will be necessary."

There was a thrill to this. He had never had to do the communication side of his dad's work, but this was fun. It was like when he was reading a mystery book. Mind games, character analysis, hints, predicting the next move.

"And my other questions? What if I decide I'm against all of this, either now or later on?"

Gyres smiled and stretched a little. “Oh that? It’s simple really. If you are so against it now or later just say ‘Gyres I’m backing out’ and there we go. You’ve cut your ties to me. If you don’t want to do it you don’t have to, I’m not gonna force you to do something you dislike.” Besides Kon was merely going to be at the surface level of Gyres’s empire, it was little to no risk of having him leave on his own terms.

Kon went silent for several seconds, reviewing the information he was given once, then twice, then thrice.

"A few more things. Know that I am a busy man. I will only be able to help when I have the time to. This is, at best, a side job I'm doing for fun." Not needing to sleep did a lot to help Kon, but he was working two jobs now and had TWIS every other Saturday. He could only do so much.

"I would also appreciate knowing where my information goes. It could help me learn more about what I may later need to research and how to go about it."

Gyres nodded, despite his relaxed position he was still extremely attentive. “Alright of course. I won’t bugger you too much then. Do have to do the occasional check ins though, just seeing who’s still working with me. Good to keep a updated list.” Gyres knocked a little on the table, seemingly somewhat bored. The two people that arrived a few minutes after Gyres soon got up and left, hearing that signal. “Well Jaime I can tell you what information is used and if they wanted to know anything else, that’s about it though. I like to keep these deals rather simple.”

"The occasional check-in is fine, as long as you do not associate too much with me outside of this form." It wouldn't be good for both Kon and Jaime to have a close relationship with Gyres, whether positive or negative.

"That's good enough. I can already tell you're working with some criminal business you'd rather not talk about. I'll see how you describe things when I start working."

Gyres laughed a little. “Was it really that obvious? Shit, and I just sent my men away hahaha. Well you seem to be fine with that though. I suppose I should get going then, I got deals I gotta do. I will further discuss this with you later Jaime.” Gyres got up and waved bye as he walked out the bar.

Konpeitō dropped the blank expression and looked genuinely surprised. It wasn't obvious to him? He was one of the sketchiest men out there. He was going to Kon for information breaking, something he said he did for illegal jobs. Kon was genuinely baffled. This was something he needed to note about Gyres.

That, and the men he apparently had ready to... what? Beat up Kon? That thought was funny. There were people around. This wasn't the type of bar to be okay with a fight, and Kon was certain he could flee safely. He had self-defense training and powers specialized in getting away.

Fixing his expression, he gave a curt nod. "It was nice doing business with you. I will be pleased if you contact me later. Farewell."

Konpeitō lingered around for some time before heading out himself.
