Maisie yawned again, her own teeth flat and normal and not at all possessing of fangs like his. "That's just a load of crap, that is. Least that's what all the girls back home'd say--almost all my gal pals got them problems with weight and body image and whatever, they'd be on you in a hot second asking what your secrets are and how you manage to look so good when you help me eat four dang desserts and a hamburger with onion rings." She patted her stomach, only able to imagine how full she would feel with all that. "Can you even feel full? Or is it just an endless vacuum with you?"
She eyed him for several moments after he thanked her, then sighed and said, "Ahhh, it's whatever, Shortcake. You don't need to thank me; it's just what friends do, y'know? I'm assuming roommates too." As she went to take another sip of her water, her tiredness kicked in and she completely missed her mouth, dripping water onto herself. She just slowly looked down in a lethargic dismay. Then she shrugged it off. "...Oh well. Just water. If you really want to then we can go to another restaurant sometime. Maybe I can take a pick, though I don't know the place very well."
