Personality Description: Emeraude is, in nature, a very kind-hearted woman. A difficult childhood has caused her to be particularly secretive about herself and about the nature of her abilities. She tries her very best to be a good person, helping out others when she can — though admittedly, sometimes people get on her nerves when they seem to start abusing her kindness.
She has a temper that can get violent, and has been known to get into fist fights given certain situations. The nature of her abilities has had her fear of injury toned down enough to cause her the advantage when needed.
Emeraude is also rather vain, as she enjoys dressing herself up in clothes that would be generally unusual in modern society. She is fascinated by Japanese fashion, so it's not at all unlikely to see her in Lolita clothing if she feels like it.
Despite her goodie-two-shoes persona, she has a tendency to be playful and mischievous with those she considers close friends. Even with the close relationships though, she still keeps her abilities quite a secret. Her abilities in turn have made her incredibly studious, whereas she would spend hours studying science to ease her curiosity and to keep up with medical standards of her profession.
The only person who actively knows of her ability is her husband, of who she loves very much. Emeraude tries to be as loving of a wife as she could, but well... Marriages are never perfect. Emeraude is thankfully patient enough to deal.

Vitakinesis - The user is capable of manipulating the healing and healing process, speeding any or all aspects of healing to the point of regeneration and possibly slowing, blocking, or reversing the healing process as she pleases. While Emeraude's ability to heal and regenerate is almost absolute in nature, it must meet the conditions that the person to be healed (even herself) but be convinced that they will be healed, and that the caster be aware of the body's own mechanics of function.
That said, an expectation of an injury or worsening of condition will certainly follow the reversal of the healing process as well. That said, she cannot bring the dead to life, nor is she capable of reviving someone who is close to death without actual medical knowledge.
There are also some occasions where Emeraude's desire to heal someone overcomes the other's acceptance of injury, but these are few and far in between; almost deathly exhausting for grave injuries where she could be asleep for days to a week in an attempt that may or may not work.
Overall, her power is dependent on the willpower and belief of those she heals; for as long as they believe, they will.

Though not very religious, the behavior made her out to be to her annoyance. This is when she decided going to the field of medicine would be a better idea to make use of her "gift". It was here that she worked hard to get into Nursing school as medical school was way too expensive for her liking, and would gain too much attention should she heal patients at anything less than random.
Emeraude graduated with honors, mostly due to her love of reading and studying. It was when she finally became employed that she met Aternity. A patient with a few broken bones, Emeraude was the nurse assigned to him over weekends and Wednesday. A little spat between the two forced Emeraude's hand, showing off her ability for the first time. She panicked and fled, never made mention of it again.
Feeling bad, the boy asked her out for an innocent lunch as an apology, which ended up turning into a second date, and another — and they fell in love.
Came wedding bells, and the stork; Tourmaline was born.
Then they had to move, due to a promising opening at a hospital where their special abilities were accepted and encouraged.
