"Point your toes! Straighten those fingers! You're losing speed with sloppy strokes!"
The summer had been great for getting the swim team in shape. Clear skies and a blazing sun meant everyone wanted the chance to take a dip in the outdoor pool. Granted, most of the students wanted to play, lounge about, or ogle the appropriate sex. But as the coach of the Academy swim team, Jacob had first dibs on whatever happened at the pool and his first choice was always practice and conditioning. The kids could have their play time after he had finished making the team swim their laps and practice their form.
Stopwatch in hand and standing at the edge of the pool, he timed his students as they glided and paddled their way through the water. When he was in his role as the swim coach, Jacob's usual vanity with his body was shoved aside in favor of being a strict coach. So even though he was dressed in only tight black jammers, he could not have cared less for the ogles he was getting from the teenage students sitting or observing around the pool.
"Faster! C'mon. Faster!"
He clicked the stopwatch and recorded the times. They were getting a little better, but not better fast enough. He stretched his arms and looked down at his panting students as they pulled off their goggles and swim caps.
"Alright. Take five."
He dismissed his students for a break, allowing them to get out of the water. Their wet lean-ness-es distracted took some of the stares off of Jacob. He, meanwhile, returned to a table where his books and papers were, and also an extra phone. Lenn's phone.
This morning, Jacob had been fumbling for his phone when its alarm went off and fell off the table. When he reached to the floor, he found a second phone along with his own. After the confusion passed, he realized that it was the one Lenn had been using. How did he know? When he unlocked it and got to the home screen, his picture was the wallpaper. The picture she took when they were getting randy a few nights ago. He had attempted to call her on it, but found it impossible to use beyond the home screen, as if it was secured even further.
"I hope she didn't miss any other clients because of this..."
