In the reaches of Matilda Dorothy Charlotte Blackstone's mind, nestled within the shelves of the enormous library that resides within her memory palace, a great many journals can be found. While not created by Matilda herself, they reflect her emotions, thoughts, and experiences. Each journal varies widely in appearance and content, and are sorted in a seemingly random order, though a master of the mind might be able to deduce the brain's complex algorithm for storing information and navigate more effectively. Some of the books are dated, while others are adorned with complex runes and symbols. Their adornments tend to reflect the emotional state of Matilda at the time of creation. Books in the process of creation may change, even under direct observation. While she has been unable to track down volumes predating her arrival at Manta Carlos, Matilda has since kept a record of new editions to the library, in order to better track the tomes. After all, some of the most useful insight one can gain must come from within.

The following is a record of all successfully identified journals located within Matilda's Memory Palace, as well as an account of particular important entries.

This journal is contained in a simple Office Depot one subject notebook, bound with a bit of black tape, blue in coloration. It is adorned with Polaroid pictures of Tilly, her parents, her grandparents, and Blaine, en route to and prior to boarding her flight to Manta Carlos, as well as several self portrait photographs of Matilda gazing out of a circular airplane window, several blurry images of the skyline, and a candid photo of Tilly posing with a sleeping passenger, who appears to be breathing fire in the midst of snoring.
Today's the day! Today's the day! My plane leaves in an hour, and I swear I almost set fire to Grandma Dierich's cat out of sheer excitement! This is like every aspiring wizard's dream!

Blaine road with us to the airport. It was... Hard, saying goodbye. I wish she could come with. I wish I could tell her about where I'm going. As it is, I'm lucky they didn't flash her with one of those men-in-black pen thingies. I promised her I'd write, and I'll see her on my breaks, of course (Assuming I come home. Not sure if we can afford that right now) I'm not entirely sure where this leaves us, but I think we're squarely somewhere between dating and never speaking again. Hopefully the former. Maybe. I'm not sure.

Haven't met any roommates yet. In fact, I don't know that I have any. Place looks deserted. Oh well, more for me. I'm sure nobody will mind if the extra space gets put to good use.
Met a guy with green hair. Made a fool of myself in front of him, and everyone else in the courtyard. I guess he's giving me a tour. He doesn't seem too thrilled about it. He's pretty cool though.
My first week of classes is done! My power classes were a little disappointing, but I've made a lot of headway in my personal studies. I made a few friends, a nice girl named Minnie, and a pretty cool dude named Kon!
Tried to summon the Demon Paimon. Got his daughter instead. She was not pleased, to say the least. Apparently, she gets called in to do his dirty work whenever he's too busy to do it himself. I might have felt bad for her, actually, if she hadn't tried to kill me when I screwed up the summoning. Thankfully, my quick thinking and resourcefulness were enough to send her running. I didn't even need magic!

I should probably watch out for her, though. I don't think it's good practice to make an enemy of a demon. And I should definitely study ritual magic a bit more. I'm sort of stumbling around in the dark when it comes to that area, so I'm basically just copying and pasting instructions. One mistake, and it's all going to hell, literally.
