Glancing around the elegantly decorated ballroom, amazed once again by the attention to detail taken by the organizing committee, Liliana stopped to chat with some friends before she mingled with a few other guests as she knew the new student council president probably should.

Finally, after a good half an hour or so, she went over to help herself to the punch. Pouring herself a glass, Liliana was careful not to get any on her outfit. She had chosen a pastel pink pantsuit type outfit, very different from most of the other young women in attendance along with a pink and white mask.

There was definitely something in the air tonight as Cinderella made her way into the grand ballroom. She had never been to an event like this, one where people were dressed up and free to be whoever they wanted for a single night. It was exhilarating.

While she was not dressed as extravagantly as some of the other women had been, She had still chosen to be as feminine as she knew how to be. Her hair was done up nicely, curled and allowed to flow neatly over her shoulder. A simple white and gold mask covered the upper portion of her face, lending to the mystery of her identity. Her dress was elegant and simple, white and gold. If not for the stockings that she wore it would have shown far too much leg.

Cinderella moved slowly, admiring the decorations, the costumes, and the feel of the evening. She would have talked to more people, but for the time being, she wished to conceal her identity a little longer. Instead, she made her way over to the refreshments and stood neatly by one of the ornately decorated pillars with her back to it, so as to better see the event unfolding around her.

It seemed Ava wasn't the only one interested just in the refreshments and food table, since many came to grab some grub or drinks. Ava grinned a bit and adjusted her mask, slipping to the side with a load of food. No one probably wanted to approach the seemingly frail looking girl with a mountain of food that could feed an army. But eh, Ava didn't care. She had come here to be a wallflower or whatever they called a person who just stood at the side and watched. That was what Ava was doing, just watching, and eating some delish chicken while at it.

The place felt magical, and a constant smile was glued on Huilu's face. She had already asked one gentleman to dance, and after just one song of dancing with someone she didn't know Huilu wanted to do it more. It would be fun to see if any gentleman or -woman would have the bravery to ask her, but Huilu would be brave to ask a hundred times if no one stepped forward.
Huilu was sure she'd be able to create amazing statues of this night when she got home and to her sketchbook. But for now she, after stopping by the refreshments table and grabbing a glass of water, set herself by a pillar near a tall window. Huilu finished her water rather quickly, though she left some at the bottom of the glass and used that to create ice patterns inside the glass. She wanted to get at least some of her ideas into patterns.

The man in the black suit would finish his drink and return to wandering through the hall, his sharp eyes hidden by the masks lenses. Finally he'd spot an elegant woman with blue hair, intruded he'd step over to her, giving a bow and a smile. "Hello ma'am," his eyes wandered to the glass, "I hope I'm not interrupting, ice magic seems like a wonderful ability, but I was hoping to ask you for a dance."

Huilu looked up from her glass and smiled back at the gentleman with a black suit before her, offering a curtsy to his bow.
"You're not interrupting, sir. A dance would be wonderful, if not as wonderful as my ice magic."
Huilu chuckled a bit, and set the cup aside to the window sill she had been standing next to. But the water she had formed patterns with she lifted from the glass, and made a small ice bracelet out of it around her right wrist. The bracelet consisted of the very same patterns she had formed on the glass' surface.
"I hope you're not afraid of a little chill, as the temperature around me is slightly colder."
Huilu said with a small smile, and offered her right hand.

The young man stepped into the ballroom in a simple navy blue suit, his double breasted coat buttoned all the way up his neck. Gentle green accents adorened the suit, softening the dark color of the outfit as a whole. His dark strawberry blonde hair was pulled back into a loose, short ponytail, framing his face covered by the moss green domino mask over his blue-green eyes.

He let a small, playful smirk play across his lips as he scanned the room. Looking for people to mingle with. His shoulders back and his spine straight, he was clearly a man of means and high society in the way he carried himself.

[Tag @navy suit, green mask if interacting with this character.]

A man in his early-twenties entered the room, dressed elaborately in warm hues. A pattern of Japanese maple leaves danced across a long-sleeved tunic of deep umber silk richly embroidered at the hems with gold thread. The cloak draped around his shoulders was a patchy work of art - yards of patterned silks and dark velvets were layered upon each other and cut to reveal the patterns underneath. They had the appearance of bird's wings, secured at the right shoulder with a bronze clasp in the shape of a leaf. His accessories were less showy - tall black boots that ended at the kneecaps topped with red ribbon and a simple crimson sash. Instead of a mask, he wore a black, wide-brimmed hat lined with a mostly sheer veil that fell around his head and ended at the waist.

The veiled man seemed at ease with the atmosphere in the room, gliding from one place to another as empty spaces cropped up. He seemed to favor those places more than the crowded floors. There were too many people around the assorted refreshments so he refrained from going over to the group, preferring instead to stick to the mostly bare edges of the room.

The man in the black suit would gently take her hand, "not at all, a bit of cool air is always good." He'd lead her to the dance flood, quickly showing be was quite good, ball room dancing seemed almost second nature to him. He'd glance at tbe bracelet lovely, "lovely, and not just he bracelet," he'd say, giving a calm smile.

"I'd ask for your name, but that would take away some of the fun," he'd say, tapping the side of his mask and flashing a small grin, "shall I call you Blue for now?"

Huilu was lead to the dance floor, and the black suited gentleman took quite the skilled lead. Huilu wasn't bad herself, and glided along with fluid and elegant movements. Her skills clearly weren't on par with her partners, but her natural dignity made up for most of it. And the whole time she had a small smile that showed Huilu was truly enjoying herself.

Huilu's dance partner complimented her bracelet, and her, and Huilu smiled at him and nodded slightly.
"Thank you, those are kind and charming words. Ones I can return, I quite like your outfit. It's elegant in its simplicity."
Huilu chuckled a bit and her dress' hem fluttered when the two spun. As an artist she really could appreciate any outfit in this masquerade, no matter how unusual, or not.
"And it quite suits you."

Blue. Quite the obvious choice, but that wasn't a bad thing. Huilu flashed a small mysterious smile and hummed a bit in thought.
"I will gladly be Blue tonight. As for you, I shall call you...Dark. To stay loyal to the colour theme."
Huilu chuckled as the two continued gliding across the dance floor.

"Thank you, I prefer to keep my clothing simple when I can," they continue their dance, the man in the black suit leading as the people around then swayed in a similar fashion. "It's been sometime since I've gone to a ball, I've missed them, and I'm quite fortunate to have found a charming companion."

"May I ask what brought you here?" he'd say, tilting his head a little, "the ball or the island, I don't get out as much as I should, meeting new people is always enjoyable." He was enjoying the evening already, a good time to clear the air, meet new people, start fresh.
