Ray glanced up at Chris and smiled. Though as soon as he said he'd heard it, she blushed and looked down at the toast. "Oh you heard that..." she muttered, nibbling on her own meal nervously.

She glanced up at him again and shrugged. "He knows I can kick his butt. He won't do anything. And to be honest, he kinda made me feel slimed anyways." she smirked, the flush in her cheeks going down to a minimum.

"Kay." Chris shrugged, wolfing down another slice of toast or two. He had kinda hoped for permission to kick the kids head in, but he figured he might as well leave well enough alone. "Sooo yeah." He needed a nwe topic, and fast. "You... sleep well?" Ooh, intelligent. Definitely one of his bset conversation starters.

"Wait, what?" He stopped with his toast halfway to his mouth. "What'd he do to you? Can I beat him up?" He had already sized up Greg and figured that he could sit on him and break his bones. That would only be fueled by anger if he had done something, anything, to make Ray feel uncomfortable. He could already feel the blood boiling in his veins and had to remind himself that he was neither Ray's brother, nor her boyfriend and he was obviously over-reacting.

Ray shook her head. "It's fine. It wasn't that bad. He just kissed my neck like TJ did." she nibbled on her lip. "It just kind of startled me, that's all." She finished her food and smirked at him.

"So you want your jacket back?" she questioned, a devilish grin on her face. She jumped up from the table and looked slightly coy. "You're going to have to catch me first!" and then she took off at a run, exiting the cafeteria and making her way down towards the lake.

Chris was about to answer that yeah, that had kind of been the reason he had hunted her down when she took off towards outsideland. He grinned, abandoning his plate as he rushed by and knocked into a group of girls. It took him only a half-second to shoot them a charming smile and he was off again, determined to catch Ray and toss her in the lake.

All of that excercise and such definitely gave him an advantage, plus his legs were longer and that sped him up a ton. He easily caught up with Ray and tackled her, dragging her down into a tumbly pile on the grass. "Hiiii Ray." He grinned, looking down at her. "I win, what's my prize?"

Ray squeaked when he tackled her, tucking herself into a ball to break her fall. Once she stopped moving, she returned to a lying down position, and was startled to see Chris with his face not very far from hers. She flushed slightly, trying not to squirm.

Her heart came to a thundering halt for a moment, and for that moment, she was unable to take her eyes off of his face. She looked away, taking a deep breath. She decided to crack a joke. "Well I thought you wanted your Jacket, but if you want another prize, I can always keep it. It's comfortable." she teased, a small, shy smile finding it's way onto her face as she returned her eyes to his, and blushed some more.

"Hmmm. I know. But it's your job to think up a prize. Seeing as how you made the challenge." He poked her gently in the forehead before rolling over onto his back and looking up at the clouds. He really didn't mind if she kept the jacket. In fact, it gave him a perfect excuse to visit her to 'pick it up' in which he would promptly forget it again. Yes, the plan was foolproof!

He noticed her smile and grinned himself. "You're blussssshing." He teased, throwing a handful of grass at her. "Why are you blushing? Hmm?" At least things weren't as awkward as they had been a few days ago. Some distant part of his brain even wished that Greg would come by, it would be great to put that scrawny little twerp in his place. Or he could even rewind time a bit more and re-live that fateful day in the hallway.

Ray smirked at Chris as she sat up at him, the look of one who was plotting settled on her face. She didn't exactly have time to think because at that moment he commented on the color of her face, which, of course, made her blush even more. "I'm not blushing. I'm just lfushed from running, that's all." she threw some grass back at him. "So do you want your prize or not?"

She didn't exactly give him a chance to answer. Instead, she rolled over and moved his head, planting a sweet kiss on his cheek. She sat up quickly, and gave a cheesy grin, blushing slighlty again. "There you go." she stood quickly. "But er. I have to go...do something." she raised a hand in a wave, and dashed off.

Chris was about to say something when she dashed off, so instead he raised a hand to his cheek. Whoa, did that just happen? He shook his head, resisting the urge to call out to her fleeing form. Instead he stood up, a little disoriented and wandered back to his room, resolving to stay in there for the rest of the day.

A million thoughts ran through his head, the most prominent being: 'I don't think I like the idea of being just friends anymore.' Thinking these confusing thoughts Chris watched as the sky steadily turned darker and absently answered his roomie that yes, he was still alive.

The something she had to do was a promise to some of her skater friends that she'd come to the birthday party. At least, that's what they called it. It had been fun, until she started drinking her coke. It made her tongue feel funny, but she didn't think anything of it. It wasn' t until she started on her second that she started feeling light headed, and slightly confused.

By the time she'd finished her second coke, she was confused and nervous, and decided it might be a good idea to leave. She stumbled out of the party area, and was followed closely by Greg. After a short conversation in which he tried to convince her to come back to his room, she punched him very hard twice and proceeded on her way.

She had decided that she was going to find Chris, and knocked on his door. His roommate opened it. She looked at the room mate with bleary eyes. "You're not Chris." she stated slowly, very delibrately. She put a hand on the door jam to steady the world.

Chris, who had been lying in his bed, jumped up at the sound of Ray's voice. "Ray, what happened? He took in the fact that she was swaying on the spot and her words were a teensy bit slurred. "You, find somewhere else to sleep." He pushed his roomie out into the hall and gently pulled Ray in before shutting the door.

"Is everything alright Ray?" He didn't know how to handle this, didn't know what kind of drunk she was. Or how well she'd hold her alcohol. He mentally berated himself, figuring he should know how to deal with this better. "What did you do this afternoon?"
