Ray leaned against Chris. "I went to a birthday party." she turned herself so that she was facing him, and looking up at him. She looked a little confused, but like she knew what she was doing. "I think someone spiked my coke." she murmured, apparently mesmorized by Chris' eyes.

She moved one hand up to the back of his neck. "I wanna see something." she added in the same, soft, deliberate tone. She stood on tip toe and brought his head down a bit. She kissed him softly, hand tightening on the back of his neck for a moment, before pulling herself entirely out of his grasp, a satisfied smile on her face. "It wasn't just adrenaline." she said to herself, before collapsing on the bed, falling asleep within seconds.

Birthday party? Yeah, okay. He wondered if that was what they had told her. Then she said something about someone spiking her coke,, and that made enough sense. It sure explained what she was doing in his room so late at night. Why was she staring at him like that? She looked like she was going to eat him.

So she didn't eat him, but what she did took him by surprise just as much. He had stood motionless for a moment, kissing her back before he realized what he was doing. No, bad Chris! She was drunk, didn't know what she was doing. Unless she was one of those drunks who spilled their guts when they had been drinking. He was extremely glad when she broke away, he hadn't trusted himself to do something that rational. He watched as she passed out on his bed, not quite sure if he should leave her there or not. Well, here was better than her being alone in her bedroom. He sighed, moving her into a more comfortable position before tucking her in. "Goodnight Ray." He stood watching her sleeping form for a minute before hopping into his roomies bed and passing out.

Ray woke up the next morning to a dull throb in her head. She moaned quietly, stirred, opened her eyes, and froze. She sat up quickly, and touched her head. She closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead. She recognized the room now, and even though it didn't put her mind entirely at ease, she felt fairly safe. "Chris, why am I in your room?" she asked dully, hand still on her forehead and eyes squeezed shut at she tried to remember what exactly had happened.

She'd punched Greg, and kissed someone, though she was unsure who exactly she'd kissed. And that was about it. And now her head hurt and her mouth was dry.

Chris had been sleeping peacefully until Ray woke up. Her stirring had made him crack a sleepy eye open. When the realization that last night wasn't a dream kicked in he was immediately out of bed. "You were drunk kiddo." He shrugged, moving to the bathroom to splash some water on his face. The bathroom gave him time to think, to sort out his muddled mind.

When he returned he stood in front of her, knowing that it was probably better to get it all in the open. He wasn't quite sure how much she would remember after last night. Baffled by his sudden shyness Chris looked down at the floor. "Ehh, about last night. Ray..." Crud, this was harder than he had expected. "When you kissed me last night I'm sorry for not stopping it when I should have. You were drunk, didn't know any better and I knew that. I'm really sorry."

"Drunk." she repeated, shaking her head. She tried to ignore the fact that he'd called her kiddo, reminding her that she was younger than his younger sister.

When he came back and apologized, she stared at him for a minute before blushing furiously, and pulling her knees to her chest. She dropped her head to her knees with a small moan. "I can't believe I kissed you." she tried hard not to sound like she was whining. "First I get drunk, then I have the brilliant idea to go to you, and then I kiss you. I feel like such an idiot." her voice was steady, she wasn't sniffling, but her arms covered wet spots that were growing on her knees.

Chris knew better than to take offense when she waid she couldn't believe she had kissed him. He sttod, unsure of what to do. Well, he knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to sit beside her on the bed. He wanted to give her a hug, to tell her everything was fine.

"It's fine. If there's anyone to blame it's me." Chris shook his head, cautiously sitting beside her on the mattress. "I didn't stop and I should have." He was confused. Wasn't she supposed to be getting over him? Did she still want to? He didn't want to let his feelings be known until he was positive that they'd be returned. But the sight of her sitting on his bed like that was heartbreaking. "Ray... I liked it too much to stop you or even to care. You have nothing to be ashamed of, you didn't know what you were doing. I should have never let it get that far."

Ray wiped at a few stray tears and stood shakily, struggling for control. "I think I should go." she said unsteadily, looking at him uncertainly for a minute. Her head hurt and her heart felt funny. He'd said he liked it, and he shouldn't have let it get far. What was that far. Panic slid into her eyes for a minute, and then she looked away. "I.. I'm just not thinking clearly right now." her hand shook slightly, and she shoved it in her pocket.

She then disappeared out of his room without another word and ran all the way back to hers, unlocking the door and closing/ locking it behind her. She curled up on her bed and proceeded to drift into an uneasy sleep.

Chris sat uneasily on his bed, frozen when she bolted. He was torn. Part of him wanted to hunt her down, another part wanted to just stay here and do nothing. But whenever he stayed still his mind went all fuzzy and zoomed through ever little look, every word. He didn't think he could deal with that right now.

"Ray." He said her name into the empty room, listening as the quiet rushed in to squash his voice. "I really blew it." He stared at the phone near his bed, knowing he definitely needed some help. With a sigh he slid closer to the phone, dialing Scythe's number.

"Hello?" He could hear her voice but his lips weren't working properly. He cleared his voice and tried again.

"Scythe, I really messed up. I need some help." He told his sister everything he had done and said. Scythe, for the most part, listened quietly with only the occasional outburst.

"Chris, you didn't need to call me. You and I both know what you have to do." She gave hima few minutes to think before going on. "Why are you still here? You've got a girl to explain to."

Chris knew his sister was right, and he thanked her and hung up the phone. But he needed to become a little bit braver. This was either do or die, and right now he decided to choose do. With a groan he hefted himself off of the bed and walked to the door, pausing for a minure when his courage faltered. Scythe's voice in his mind pushed him forward until he found himself at Ray's door. He was a little surprised to find his sister there.

"Moral support." She winked when he stared at her. "I'm also here in case she ignores you knocking." She gestured towards the door.

"Ray?" He knocked softly on the door, a part of him hoping that she wouldn't answer so he could slink quietly off to his room.

The knocking jerked Ray from a light sleep. She'd found herself too warm in her over sized hoodie and jeans, and had changed into a pair of cloth shorts and a tanktop. She meandered over to the door, checking to see who it was, before pulling the door open, and sleepily leaning against it.

"Hi Scythe." she greeted his sister and then turned her intense gaze to Chris. There was that funny feeling again. Dangit. "Hi Chris..." she added softly, running a hand through her sleep tousled hair.

Chris shifted his weight from one foot to the other, wondering why he was here again. He looked down at the floor, unable to meet her gaze. "Hi RayRay. I'm not going to stay, to much to do. Just wanted to say hi." She kicked Chris in the back of the leg to get him started before she slunk around the corner.

"Hi Ray." He replied quietly, still not raising his eyes from the floor. His tongue was tied. Why was he here again? "I came to make sure you were alright and stuff." He shuffled his feet uncertainly, brain screaming at him to get out of there. "I also wanted to apologize for whatever I said. I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable or anything." It was so much easier to imagine doing this. It was harder when she was standing in front of him looking so cute. In his mind he just swooped in and carried her off in his arms. In reality it was much harder than that.
