Love is in the air and the water, oh AND CANDY

Maddie enjoyed the swings the second most, right behind the cool swan boats. She looked how secure the ride felt, all the while her feet were free, and her hair was flying around wildly.

She could laugh or scream as much as she wanted and still all she would hear was the wind in her ears.

When the swing slowed to a stop, Maddie flexed. "Best superhero. I'd name myself something like Capn' Candy Wrapper, CCW for short."

Maddie squeaked when she was lifted. She fought him briefly but was quick to give in.

"When you float like this, it feels kind of like you're a balloon, huh?"

She looked at the fair ground. "Wanna go sit on top of a really high building and drop a penny to see what happens?"

"Now you're not a balloon. Now you're King Kong, taking me up a building. Oh oh! What if the penny lands on someone's head? That doesn't seem like it would be very good."

She sat beside him, shoulder to shoulder.

"Bad Kiwi!" Maddie looked over the edge expectantly. "Drop the penny. Do it now!"

"I imagined it being much more epic than that..."

She pursed her lips and slowly looked at him.
