Love is in the air and the water, oh AND CANDY

Maddie held the bar across her body with a death grip. She leaned her head back, trying hard to keep their lunch down. She was afraid if she screamed, she might throw up on here. It would be hilarious if you weren't the person who vomited.

It was like a godsend when the ride slowed to a stop, and the passengers were unlocked. Maddie was off like a flash of lightning, to the nearest trash can to empty the contents of her stomach.

After a short time, all that would come out was dry heaves. "Oh man..."

At least, afterward, she felt much better!

To Maddie, the whole situation was only worsened by Laetus' presence. The last thing she wanted him — her? — to see was Maddie puking her guts.

When she had finished up and looked up at Lae, smiling weakly. "I feel better now. T-Thanks for, er, being there."

Polite to say, but Maddie just wanted to cry in a dark hole and hide away. Great.

Maddie turned her head as she spoke so he didn't have to smell her breath. "N-No! It's fine. I don't imagine I have anything left to vomit out."

Maddie wrapped her arms around his torso, tightly hugging him in return.

"You can tell me how you did that thing, though."

"So, when you're a girl..are you really..." she gave him a pointed look.

Maddie wasn't uncomfortable with being lifted off the ground by Lae at this point. It had happened so much in the past few days; it was becoming a regular thing.

Magic creatures were so confusing, though. They had all these rules and things. If her magic became stronger, would she be this confusing too? Would it still confuse her?

Maddie's eyes shifted away from him.

"Ahem. With all the girl parts. If you can change like that, does it mean you're actually bi-gendered?"
