"My sister once gave me a try of her strawberry daiquiri and I liked that. Beyond those, nope! Did you plan on giving me alcohol?" She grinned.

She didn't seem to notice he was trying to slow down as he ate. Maddie was just enjoying her food too much to want it to be gone.

"If not in public, where?" Maddie asked, feeling like some teenage rebel.

"Yeah, I didn't even know we had it." She looked at her unagi, picking up a piece with her chopsticks and holding it out to him. "Have you ever had unagi? I absolutely love it."

Laetus shrugged. "Your room? My room? Pretty much anywhere where noone can say things like 'thats illegal' and 'stop biting that officer or I'll taze you'..." He smiled and took another bite after saying this, like that wouldn't be questioned.
"We have everything around here. Didn't I tell you before?" He told her before she offered him food.
"Have I... I... Think? Meh, I'll give it a shot." He said, taking a bite. "Hmmm...." He mumbled as he chewed it. He swallowed. "Thats... not bad. What's it made of?"

"Did you bite an officer while drunk? Or did you get someone else to bite an officer while they were drunk? You have a lot of crazy stories, don't you?"

She ate another bite of unagi after he had eaten the piece she offered. She was smiling in an all-knowing fashion. "Eel. It's made of eel and it's the tastiest thing ever."

By the time their conversation was picking up, Maddie had stopped trying to eat slowly. She was stuffing food down her throat so quickly it was a wonder she could breath.

"Like you said, I must have a lot of stories." He answered with a wink. He held his composure for a few moments before laughing. "I'll tell you about them some time."
When she picked up the pace, so did he. He... was never one to eat slowly anyway, so it wasn't long before his whole plate was clean.

Maddie leaned back with an appreciative moan to the food.

"Hey. What do you do for a job? I mean, where do you get the money to spend on expensive food places like this?"

She figured the place was expensive, that's what he had eluded to, but she had yet to see the bill.
