"Are you sure?" He asked, not buying that she asked for no reason.
"I know a place that sells other food too, so don't worry about me. I got this chicken tempura there once and now I've mentioned it and now i want it why did you do this to me?!" He laughed as his words trailed on.

"I wanna chicken tempura!" She pauses, "or sushi.. I want sushi okay! I was gonna have sushi with some new kid, but then the waiter knew his name, so he wanted to leave just as our food came and I didn't get to eat any of my sushi."

Laetus stared blankly, utterly lost. "He left because... the waiter... knew him? ... You have odd friends, Cherry-chan." Laetus laughed before opening a portal for them and flying through. When they came out the other side, they were in front of a rather nice looking Japanese restaurant.
Laetus shrugged as he walked in. "Alright, feel free to change your mind when you see the bill." He told her as he passed. He went straight to a booth, sitting without talking to anyone. However, soon after she joined him, someone would come for their order.
"Back again, Laetus?" The waitress asked.
"Yep. I have a problem." He answered with a laugh.
"Well we have the solution." She answered with a giggle. "And what would your friend like?" She asked, taking out a note pad. "Or do you need more time, miss?"

Maddie looked between Laetus and the waitress, smiling nervously. "Whatever he's having will be fine."
After the waitress took their order and left, Maddie leaned in closer to Laetus. "How often do you come here...? Do I need to, like, make you a home cooked meal or something? Can you actually cook, Kiwi?"

"Oh, that actually sounds nice." He said with a smile, thinking about what she could make him. Even as far as home cooked meals go, it always seemed to taste better when someone else cooked it. He shook it off though.
"But yeah, I can cook. I've just been coming for the tempura a lot lately... Plus I've been coming here for a while anyway."
