Confused, Mizuko furrowed her brows. "You mean she really wants you to feel uncomfortable?"

She didn't insist on it anymore, as she, too, thought that it would be safer not to mess with a deal with a witch. If she had really intended for Wesker to be in such discomfort, then there was nothing she could do. She sighed and nodded it off, before turning around and walking back to the exit of this place.

She kept close, not wanting to risk herself getting lost or ambushed by thieves, but not too close that it might add to Wesker's discomfort. Her eyes moved a lot while she was trying to recall the direction they had come from.

"Senpai," she muttered. Apparently, her head was still filled with questions, even though it had seemed that she already moved on from that topic. "I was just... curious. What's making you uncomfortable?" She looked him in the eyes, waiting for an answer. Or maybe a hit on the head. Because she felt like she just crossed a line there, one she didn't want to jump over by reading Wesker's thoughts. That would be rude.

Wesker shrugged. "Perhaps I am wrong, but she said as much, didn't she?" He walked on in silence. He seemed to become more comfortable once they were out of the bustling market, though they were still downtown so the noise level remained rather bothersome.

He raised an eyebrow at the small girl trailing behind him as she inquired about his affliction. He contemplated just telling her, as it wasn't exactly a secret or anything. He just ended up ruffling her hair and flashing his smile at her. "Why don't you find out?"

The girl recoiled a little at Wesker's touch. She wasn't expecting that. Quite true, she could always just find the matter out by herself, but she wasn't all that willing to use her quickest way to do it. It was ironic, how much she respected her acquaintances' and friends' privacy and thoughts, even though she always randomly invades the minds of those people she didn't know. She had that certain principle-- once acquainted with someone, mind reading must be toned down. If Wesker wouldn't tell her, then she mustn't force herself to know, and she'd have to figure it out another way.

"I could, but I probably won't. Maybe next time," she answered, pouting slightly. She turned her head to the path they were taking, as she fixed her ruined hair. Fortunately her hair was not very hard to manage, quite soft to the touch if Wesker wasn't wearing his gloves.

She didn't touch the topic again during the rest of their walk back to the academy.
